  1. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

    That’s it for me.

We need change, root and branch. Starting with Lawell downwards. I’d have indicated Desmond, but he’s that apathetic to the Celtic he probably wouldn’t chuck it.

We can continue to support and prolong this agony

    or

    cease supporting and precipitate change.

    Your choice.

  2. I'm Neil Lennon (tamrabam) on

    margaret

the board will stick with lenny until the huns position becomes clear

however, if the huns come out of this debt free, they will refinance and destroy our amatuer ambitionless leaders

If Lenny was to walk, and i don’t think he will, our board’s ambition will stretch to a shortlist of Levein, McGhee, Collins & Coyle (if he gets sacked from Bolton).

For those wanting rid of him, be careful of what you wish for

    ————————————————————————————-

TO be fair at least Coyle and Levien have demonstrated an ability to organise a group of footballers in to a team.

If Neil can find the form that dragged us back in to contention for the title last season then I would gladly see him stay but right now I feel he has perhaps lost some authority and looks a bit clueless when thigs are going wrong.

Still, I look at Rennes away, I look at Ibrox twice last season and two great wins against the others at Celtic park and I hope he can find it again. But I also see Inverness, Ross County, 3-0 down to Killie, losses to Hearts, Rangers at Hampden, Rangers a few weeks ago, Hibs today and several other stuttering performances and it tips the balance in favour of him leaving.

    Frig it.

I really am away this time

  4. The more it changes….. The more it stays the same

If we are not in financial trouble ….. Then why do we under perform???

The more I hear of trouble at the crucible of death …. The more we slip to the mute

If all is well at CP …. Someone needs some glasses

We are unacceptable . Full stop

    No more…..

Our path out of financial slippers and pipe must be chartered now…. Before its too late

Speculate ….. And see what bloody happens for gods sake

Take a wee risk…. You never know until you have a go

They are on their knees … And still winning

We are fluid …… And absolutely dung

Time for some strong , big changes

I have never … In my short life … Witnessed a Celtic team start games so slowly ever

Is the jersey not fitting properly ??

The priveledge has been replaced by egos that don’t fit with the real plan

Celtic… Get a grip and rise up up now …. Or be confined to be behind murderwell

    Action now or be judged

    I love my club… I dream of my club… I live my club…

But this is becoming a sad story as this league progresses

If the Hun get a 10 reduction …. And still win the league…. Unthinkable!!

Paranoid android ….. No … Realistic Celtic supporter

    Hail hail

    Ramie

  5. A manager who has any kind of reputation won’t come to Celtic Park at the minute. If WGS were to be offered the job again (and he accepted) I would be delighted. I think what our manager has had to endure has destroyed something in him and quite possibly in the players. Do we miss Brown so much. He, at least, gave his all.

  6. Much as I love Lenny to bits, I am now wondering if it were not folly to appoint an inexperienced coach!!! History shows very few ‘rookie’ coaches work out….Lambert at Livi anyone? I think its best all round that Lenny departs this parish for him and for us…and it pains me to say so!!

Awe_naw… I regularly and sometimes vehemently agree with you on many things but if we believe that out there in the world of fitba, there isnt an experienced coach who could take the squad we have and mould a team capable of winning the SPHell, then Im sorry thats were I disagree!!

Im sure, nay certain that there is an experienced man out there who could first stabilise then forge a winning team from this squad!! Longer term, PL has a few questions to answer and Im of a mind his tenure has run its course however this will only be concluded when DD makes his mind up, much to our chagrin, this is the grim reality that we face!!

    Summer of 65

  7. missus has just come in raging and in tears……..been verbally attacked by huns on bus along with other women and kids. They were rampagin thro the bus threatining everyone and trying to find out who was a tim. Missus was trying to defend a young 10yr old girl whose was gettin’ it and they turned on her when she stood up to them. phoned cops. ……………..

    now i’m ragin’

  8. Not posted for a long time but today’s inadequacy has forced my virtual pen….

As listless, disjointed and weak a performance as I can remember at Parkhead..rather than seeking to build on an encouraging second half at Easter Road on wednesday and knowing that the hun result necessitated a win it actually seemed to have the contrary effect..

I have never seen a less mobile Celtic team in my 14 years as a supporter..no movement off the ball, a midfield 3 who were simply incapable of driving forward, and a in Gary Hooper one of the most apathetic strikers ever to grace the Paradise Turf..

Aside from looking at the fundamentals of whether NL should leave zeroing in on the more immediate problems..the midfield simply cannot accomoate Ki, Kayal and Ledley..

Ki for me is a luxury, techinicallky gited yes but slow, mentally and physcially weka, not a man to drive a team to a title..

Kayal, resting on the laurels of l;ast year, looking moody and reckless where last year he was combative and dominant and ledley never able to play in his favoured role..

another huge problem with today’s showing was that given the tight-packed central area and th poor displays of ther above mentioned we were often forced wide..now while Forrest almost always had 2 Hibs pkayers to contened with Wilson as RB had more license to deliver corsses but was horrendous in this case..why break up the prodcutive matthews/forrest combinatrion which looks like our most dynamic pairing thus far…

We will not a win a league when our seeming only creative outlet is a 20 year old with far too much pressure heaped on his young shoulders..it’s like a re-run of BTM season..give the ball to aiden and let’s all sit back and watch what he can conjure…

As for Lenny, why did it take him till 70 minutes to see the obvious flaws in the performance…is this naviety, ignorance ??

at the final whistle i couldnt even muster any defiance or ven annoyance..the fight and care has gone out of me..too oftn I’ve screamed cajoled encouraged with little return..

yes keep the faith but sometimes faith has to rewarded on the park

we as a support require and deserve some inspiration and not be expected to turn up out of blind habit and loyalty..I’ll supoort the tic through thick and thin but tonight I am deflated and and like many of the hoops faithful at real odds with our beloved club

We ended up with Forster there were 2 other targets identified, the 2 other centre halfs were on top of Wilson, and we needed strikers, of course i dont have the names, but believe me or not, as i care not a jot…..

    i know what i believe.

Lenny should have walked at the start of the season, when his legs were chopped from underneath him by a CEO playing championship manager with our club.

  10. dont all shout at once , thanks NL tried but never came off , will always be a Celtic legend . Take the Leister job for your own sanity, I would invite Steven Pressley to take up the reins , things cant get any worse . One snag may be to intelligent for PL. hail hail

  11. Just in from the match, on a horrible drizzly day in Glasgow.

Disillusioned, and downhearted but It’s not often you remain unconvinced by a 4-1 win, but unconvinced I was, and today showed why.

Neil Lennon tried for some consistency with Charlie replacing Dan as the only obvious change from Wednesday, but therein lay the problem where Calderwood and his side simply dug in, learned, and guessed Celtic were going to play in the same way as Wednesday, and he was never going to let a repeat happen. He brought in another midfielder, and Celtic’s better players let Neil Lennon down, big time.

The balance of the side from back to front is wrong when you play a right footed full back at left back, and in the entire match Matthews overlapped once, to cross with his left foot that failed to find a Celtic player. This mistake in playing your best right back in the wrong place is two fold, because not only can Matthews not operate on the left it means an inferior full back is playing on the right, where Mark Wilson was irritated the home support for 93 minutes.

Kayal, Ledley and out of position Ki who for some reason was also bizarrely employed for long periods on the left all had absolute nightmares, up front with no chances created, Stokes and Hooper couldn’t buy a kick, let alone a goal. Wanyama just like Wednesday impressed when he came on but McCourt given slightly more than his usual allotted ten minutes couldn’t lift his game, andI don’t blame him, when he is expected to do the miracle

winger routine, everytime Celtic need a miracle.

Neil Lennon and his staff are clearly struggling bereft of freshness of thought, but calls for his NL’s head should be ignored, because if he has failed those who appointed him are not to be trusted in finding his successor.

    Hail Hail

  12. Rockon Neil Lennon on

Whatever happens do not let Owen Coyle anywhere Celtic Park even if he wants to buy a ticket. Hail hail Neil Lennon good man and good celtic man

Let me ask all true Celtic supporters on here tonight and give me a truthful answer

If you were lucky enough to fall into the managers job at Celtic park and the results and the performances were at a level they are now would you step aside in the hope that a better man could be found for the job

With a second thought, as a fan 1st you’d want what’s best for YOUR team.

  14. i was in 2 minds to go to the gamee this afternoon, thank god i made the right decision and stayned at home.i will not say anymore about the match.but i will say to celtic feootball enough is enough.tell neilt lennon and his coaching staff.to resign.go and get davy hay,roy aitken.john hughes.john collins to take over till at least to january.then see how things are then.chould nt be anyworse than tnthe preseent lot.we can forget about messrs oneil and strachan

    So the answer is?

Keep all of the incompetents or get rid of them all?

    Aint gonna happen.

Neil might jump. The board will stay snugly in their feathered nests.

We’ll get 2 loan deals done in Jan. Maybe.

The nests will be re- feathered in July when the season books will be sold long before the window shuts amongst a barrage of rumours of us being linked with A,B and C.

This will all be done under a new manager. Brendan Rodgers? Possible. Probable if Swansea have been relegated. Or Mick McCarthy if Wolves go down.

Why am I telling you all this……since you already know.

Keep the faith….and in summer, for 1 season only, keep your season ticket money in your pocket.

  16. I wish this site would organise the replies boards better, possibly by topic and gravitas of individual replies by employing a weighting system to posters replies thereby allowing us to vote by topic title and content. This would allow us to see clearly what is actually important to the supporters instead of some of the drivel that clutters up posts.

If we want to talk social consciousness lets have a section for it. Ditto everything else…………not all jumbled under the guise of better journalism. Sometimes I think there is a deliberate hidden agenda here to obfuscate the issues by jumbling them all up. This post being an example; It will get lost among among CSC bus not notes!…….helloooooo

So…..the league is to all intents and purposes GONE. (and NL will be gone soon too) Nero fiddled while Rome burned springs to mind. Everyone blames PL for the strategic management short comings at Celtic PLC, why? He is only his masters voice in the end.

Culpability lies firmly with DD, why do you think he doesn’t attend AGM’s?

    FOR THE RECORD

DD has never invested a penny in Celtic PLC that has not yielded a preferential share dividend or is not secured as debentures, long term loans or other financial instruments etc against the tangible assets of Celtic PLC so anyone who tells you otherwise is playing fast and loose with the truth-theres never been any ordinary shares for DD thank you very much!

The league…….finished by November 1st. Four on the bounce coming along and all we an bleet about is holding the higher moral ground???

People need to take a look at themselves-thats us people-because we are being mass programmed and manipulated into accepting preordained outcomes. Don’t believe me?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delphi_method

    1. NL gone in January

    2. New patsy in place January

    3. League gone (again)

    4. Orc Newco 2012 in place

    5. Business as usual

    6. AGM-ah well we look forward to a new season, best wishes to NL blah, blah, blah……….

Move along now………….nothing to see here!

Makes you wonder occasionally what side of the fence we are actually on ???????

  17. I have to agree with those questioning the playing of Matthews at LB. Why not RB, with El Khaddouri getting the LB slot? Ki should be rested until the team win a run of games. He might be good in a winning team. He hasn’t the heart to take the game by the scruff of the neck. I would play Ledley, Kayal and Wanyama at Parkhead, with McCourt and Forrest on either wing. Teams are already doubling up on the young lhad and he gets no help from either Ki, who seemed to spend most of the second half at OL (bizarrely, imo), and Wilson.

  18. i there was another manager you would all be calling forc him being sacked.but not lennon why is that

Hey! I come from , ‘peeple’, too you know, however, unlike you, i consider myself so lucky to be part of the ‘Celtic family’, where i come from, everybody in the ‘community’ does their ‘bit’. It’s a bit like being a Celtic supporter!, if it’s a dirty job, then you do it gladly, simply because in the whole of Scotland, outwith Celtic Supporters, no one will ever ever, do us a favour’. Why would they, i have often read on these pages,no one does us any favours, no sh.t! I am a celtic supporter, ist, last, and everything in between!, i ask no favours, from any man, organisation,or otherwise, i am my own man, any thing i have apart from my intellect, i earned, my intellect comes from my ‘peeple’!, who fought the ‘good and just fight’, so we drew a game we should have won, hardly life threatening, i had to listen to BBC Scotland today, and they were ‘hard to take’ however, the ‘bleeting’, from our home fans is a slight on our great club! if you feel that strongly about recent events, then, i suggest, that you may be happier somewhere else! Don’t slam the door on your way out!!!

It’s not that Lenny takes 70 mins to see the problems, he always makes his changes around this time. Baffles me, changes shouldn’t be timed they should be made from the 1st min to the last as the game evolves.

This is only one of Lennys flaws!

As a Lenny fan I only hope he walks soon and doesn’t leave it as late as his subs further damaging his reputation.

Hopefully he doesn’t sign any sort of confidentiality agreement, walk away and tell us what is going on.

Questions need answered and soon, please don’t be a yes man Lenny and tell us why we have effectively lifted 40 million pounds and transferred it to a account in govan over the last 3 years

Tell us if he received board backing regarding transfers, is he guilty of bringing under achieving, weak minded players to our club? Think not, hope not!

Have our talent scouts lost their dogs?

Are players deliberately withdrawing their willingness, fight and ability to give our hoops

the performances it merits ( fall outs and splits in the dressing room)

Just a couple of questions on top of the management ( or mismanagement teams) obvious inability to turn around gutter performances and results.

At this rate we will need the Huns to get a 35 point deduction to guarantee winning the league!

Can anyone see us going on a prolonged winning run after today?

In your head not your heart!

3 season tickets to watch the green brigade is what it’s coming to, I hate booing and used to think it was indefensible, not now even though I don’t join in.

  21. today looked like it was going to be good. Possible Huns stutter, good win for us and a wee night out with the Mrs at Jamie`s Italian in Glasgow. As it happens I got one out of three and the least important one at that. Now our thick lipped mockney chef may run a great restaurant chain but it does not compensate for todays debacle.

I cannot add any more to what has been said, however I can suggest a few options for us, most of them nuclear.

    > Firstly,forget about that lot.

    > Second , continiue to forget about them.

    > Let HMRC do their job.

    > Instruct Liewell to do his job or feck off.

    > In event of the immediate option above, get MoN back.

    > Replace Neil Lennon immediately, I hate writing that.

    > Buy,steal, borrow 3 experienced players in January, finance by selling Hooper, Brown, Kayal,Loovens and Dan.

    > Get DD to have a look at where his investment is heading.

I coach a bunch of 18 and 19 year olds every week in an under 21 league, so obviously I know it all. No, but I do know that a young team is like a young puppy or kitten ;they need coached and you have to expect irregular performances. I do not believe the level of coaching is good enough and I do not think our expectations are realistic. Without on field leaders we have looked clueless for 3 seasons now. We have witnessed shameful pretenders to the captains armband since the dawn of Caldwell through to Brown, both players who were lucky to watch Celtic never mind play for them.

NO solutions from me, just a few proposals.

  22. Only watched the first half, that was enough of watching those imposters, I’ve seen the script enough this season to watch any more. Aimless and disjointed group of players. I’m not saying we have the best 11 players in the league but even if we did that’s never going to win you the league by itself, they need to want it more and they need to have the balls, Sutton-like. On the coaching side, Neil decides that from a choice of all the top coaching minds and qualities out there , the best 2 happen to be his 2 best mates, give me a break, too cosy all round. Not surprisingly he’s a lot quieter on Twitter these days, always hated to see his twitter account lively and jokey the night before a big match. Just a random collection of my thoughts, my only enjoyment as a Celtic fan is reading the RTC website and that’s been the case for months, says it all really. Wake me up in 9 months time.

  23. i am absolutly fed up with people comming on here and dissing our team.

dont forget NO other team goes on to the park and gets the sh*t kicked out of them week aftern week.

untill we get refs that gives every team fair play then we are doomed .

    AND NEVER FORGET THAT.

i watched the aberdeen v rangers this afternoon the rangers players got away with tackles that the aberdeen players got booked for , at least three times.

if the ref had played to the letter of the law (most weeks ) rangers players would be lucky to rermain on the park.

lenny needs our support we are up against a CORRUPT resime that are desperate for a GINGER CATHOLIC EX CELTIC CAPTAIN to win the league .

and they will do anything within theyre power to prevent this from happening.

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET THIS AS THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING.

  24. newradbhoy says:

Spot on and leaving aside our rookie manager’s performance he would not be behind our biggest rivals if they did not have the refs in their pocket.

Naismith for instance should have been sent off in the first half against Dunfermline for his blatant elbow–for which he was later banned–and who knows how that game would have panned out if the referee Brines had not had a blind moment?

Same yesterday against Aberdeen I hit the roof when Naismith tried to break the Dons player’s leg and in most other leagues in the world that would have resulted in a red card and Aberdeen playing against 10 men. What happened with Collum the man who can see penalties with his back turned? Yeh you got it in one.

Rangers were the better team in both the games I mention but then you would play with confidence if you knew you were immune from sanction by the ref, wouldn’t you?
