CELTIC launch their bid for the League Cup when they take on Hibs at Parkhead this afternoon.
The Hoops, then the holders of the trophy, faltered at this stage last season when they succumbed 1-0 to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
It was only Brendan Rodgers’ third game in his second stint and it dashed any hopes of a treble to welcome him back to Parkhead. The manager, the players and the fans had to make do with a double.
The champions have played the Easter Road men three times in the competition in recent seasons.
