CELTIC v HIBS SWITCH

0

CELTIC’S Premiership encounter with Hibs at Parkhead has been switched to Sunday February 22 with a 3pm kick-off.

The original game was scheduled for 24 hours earlier, but has been moved with the Hoops in action on Thursday night in their Europa League clash with VfB Suttgart at Parkhead.

This will be the third meeting of the clubs this season with the champions taking four of the six points available.

Brendan Rodgers was in charge when the teams drew 0-0 in the east end of Glasgow in September, but Martin O’Neill, in his first interim spell, was patrolling the touchline when the clubs locked horns again at Easter Road in late November.

Daizen Meada claimed a typical finish after a pass from Reo Hatate to open the scoring while Arne Engels doubled the advantage with a brave header.

Martin Boyle pulled one back via the penalty spot, but the visitors held out for a spirited victory following a tense second-half.
