very weak physically and mentally , poor poor squad at the moment and all that money in the bank, out thought and out played tonight , lucky to get 0-0.
Very poor from the team tonight, but fair play to the opposition who seemed fitter and defended very well. We struggled to find any space in the final third as they packed 10 men behind the ball. They broke quickly but didn’t test KS all night. We had no-one who stood up and led by example. They identified Cal as the main playmaker and choked him out of the game.
We’re obviously still well in this as they will have to play a different game over there. Surely we can’t play as badly in the second leg.
I’d like to see Trusty in from the start next week. Our defense looks much more solid with him in there.
