    the difference between the teams tonight – they made tackles and we dont and can’t. Name a midfielder who wins tackles?? no, we foul to stop the counter! We are wet bog roll.

     

     

    We know maeda is not a winger – why not Nygren in the wing and Engels in the middle. Why Yang moved left right left – he does well on the left and he gets moved to the right (exactly same as cup final).

     

     

    Yamada movement was exceptional but we dont have the players to find him. Why did Kenny get the noid ahead of him at the weekend ? All over the place with decisions.

    The placemen and clowns like Burnley 78 will be delighted with tonight, and hope we fail next Tuesday, wants rid of the manager, to replace him with? Another classic trait of asking, who would you buy ,next manager etc,without any ideas of his own.As long as he protects the overpaid amateurs in charge, to probably protect a business deal,and our host as well

    Ach well. Not great.

     

     

    Scunnered at full time.

     

     

    Journey home is always a good leveller … as is a cup of tea.

     

     

    Just didn’t click tonight.

     

     

    If you can slow Celtic down we struggle.

     

     

    Thought we looked undercooked as a group.

     

    (We certainly didn’t look fired up)

     

     

    Also I didn’t think CCV, Daizen or James were great. Normally all 3 step up in big games.

     

     

    Next week it is then.

     

     

    Still think there is a chance Brendan, having seen them up close, can find a chink or two and squeeze us home.

    Only one team deserved to win that game tonight and it wasn’t us. Pass marks for Yang and that’s it. He brought a bit of desire to the game. Our midfield was non existent. Nygren should have been subbed at half time. McGregor very poor also. There was no movement at all. Tierney and Maeda need more time together as they were constantly getting in each others way. CCV and Scales were very poor. Ralston did OK when he came on but we will need to improve by 100%

    what pissed me off was the loud moaning and groaning from many very early in the 1st half

     

    i had to shout “moanie bastards, better of at Ibrox”

     

     

    some fanny behind me also seemed to object to Nygren trying to get the fans going at corner kicks

     

     

    was speaking to a blue-nose at work today. asked him if he was booing last night. He also disagreed with it. I’ll now need to face him tomorrow.

     

     

    so when we say the players, manager & board had a howler, I’d include many of the fans too (didnt join in the sack the board chant but wouldnt condemn anyone for that)

    But they do get replaced.

     

     

    There’s a mechanism available to get greater fan influence in the boardroom.

    ralston is good for bringing on when we’re 2-0 up with 20 mins to go. offers nothing going forward.

     

     

    agreed on nygren – i dont really see what all the fuss is about.

     

     

    big idah is defo in the Last Chance Saloon at best. He was eventaull cheered for being able to control a ball to his feet (after several attempts) – very very poor

     

     

    mcgregor was shocking tho you could clearly see in the first half that they were marking him and blocking passes to him from our defence. in the second half, they didnt need to – pish

    I’m not a fan of Tony Ralston and my comments are purely based on tonight’s game. He should have been punted 4 years ago as should Scales. However he was a lot better than the other defenders tonight and I include CCV and KT in that.

     

    Very few players get pass marks and I was surprised that Nygren was kept on for 80 minutes and not hooked at half time. His corner kicks were atrocious. We can still win this tie but it won’t be easy and it should never have got to this.

    While there is no doubt that the board haven’t signed the players that the manager wants signed, then a 1/14 on Celtic team selected prepared by the Coaching team turned in a poor performance against a Kazakstan minnow. Celtic had massively underestimated Almaty who out worked and out thought our Elite Manager and coaches/

     

     

    Looking at the stats we had 75% possession 11 shots 3 on target, They had 8 shots on 25%. Unusually we had 15 corners. More corners than shots is rare.

     

     

    Brendan is leaving at end of season which DD knows and probably why signings are being blocked.

     

     

    Celtic are underachieving against a low ranked team in all departments.

    Paul Tisdale is our head of football operations .

     

    His last managerial job was with Stevenage .

     

     

    He was appointed on the 29th of Nov , and sacked on the 16th of March .

     

     

    He didn’t last 16 weeks at Stevenage.

    Dermot Desmond is the decision maker on everything significant involving Celtic and he doesn’t pull his punches. Desmond has as a successful portfolio of companies and demands value for his money.

     

    If any of the rabble that jeered the players off the park tonight, screaming “Sack The Board” have the cash to do any better, step up to the plate. Otherwise shut yer gobs and support the team on the park, to the best of your limited assimilated Scottish ability.
