Nobody can doubt we have been poor this 1st half…we’ve created nothing in an attacking sense…and look a yard short all over the pitch. Losing AJ is a major blow, but having AR as our only RB cover for Champions League is a monumental oversight. Jamesie only tried to go outside once all game…I suggest we’re too ponderous and predictable. We need to up our game
Terrible half, no craft and severely lacking in ability ,the midfield is woeful wingers doing nothing and no options to change it , never mind 100m will keep the board happy, this uscwhy when your best players leave you bring in players who can play.

I’ll say it now …..what is the point of being in CL …even europa we would be struggling…AJ injury is the icing on the cake …we now need a right back to go with …right wing , left wing , centre forward. Left back

You can’t take all your class players out of your forward line,and hope to compete.This is a very decent team.We have nothing to threaten them.Maeda out wide,is a criminal waste.Have said it from the start.He is never a left winger.

Would be tempted to hook calmac (whose finger must have cramp with the amount of point it does) on 60 mins and bring on engels to replace him – and at the same time swap out Nygren for Luke
We also have the sub for KT with scales going left and Trusty coming on
It’s not a game for Kenny or Osmond
have we underestimated this team , BR needs to do some dressing room half time talk, as this has a major disaster written all over it so far , we did not create one clear cut scoring chance during the first half.

Hopefully Brendan can do something to change the flow of this game. One of the worst performances I’ve seen from us in quite a while. Not a single player showing any level of competence. Compounded by a freak injury to AJ. Not our night. So far.
TURKEYBHOY, I said a couple of hours ago that we should play Nygren on the left, bring in Engels and play Maeda through the middle. its not super science.

Just to be fair, this is what the BBC actually said:

Might be difficult but the BBC mention it anyway.
gotta agree clunks- I don’t want escape goat idah but there is no central presence
This is awful. Celtic need to waken up.
Almighty are well into their season and it shows
They make good runs between the lines and pass the ball one touch to get to those players between our lines (happens every time we lose possession)
We dont have a midfielder to drop deep when they are attacking to balance us out
At the same time we are struggling to put passes together, our wingers are innefectual and idah is trying (my patience) but not getting anywhere and having to come deep to get into the game
We need crisper, faster passing when we have the ball
More movement when we are breaking
And more compusure around the box
Let’s be clear- we’ve been on a decline since Bayern game last year.
Nothing will improve unless we improve the squad. That necessity has enhanced tonight.
The lack of investment should not however provide an excuse for some tonight-
Hatate and Nygren have provided no cover for Calmac and he is now on a real tightrope
Idah- cannot see him staying on and BR will go for Kenny instead of Osmand. Kenny will just run about more.

Thanks for that information. I can imagine a few hundred people saying `pah` would sound quite soothing :-)
The only real food for positivity at this point is that Celtic have an awful habit of only performing for half a game, and running amok in the other half.
Hopefully the first half was the non-performing half of this game and we click into gear in the second. Luke McC would definitely be a change for the better and, dare I say it, perhaps bringing off Calmac, with him being rather subdued… and on a yellow.
