I actually talked myself out of sticking a few big bets on them today with Tavpen anytime scorer and a red card in the game.
I felt it was too far fetched and what do you know, I was wrong. It’s so predictable, that it’s actually a fecking joke!

However, there was a bizarre foul award earlier when Souttar threw himself to the ground when the nearest St. Mirren player was 2 yards away- no exaggeration. The St. Mirren player was laughing at how blatant it was

Whether it is or isn’t a stonewall penalty (it is) you knew before the game started they would get one today and a red card for St Mirren.
They were always going to blow it today because people expected them to actually do something. The only team in the league who would go for them properly apart from Celtic are the Sheep and that was last week.
I will be amazed if this does not finish at least 3-0 to them.

What makes a handball a red card?
Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area).

Ok let me be first.
Strain was an absolute idiot for handling the ball 2 yards from goal, especially with var looking on. Never going to get away with it. He deserved to walk as it was a clear goalscoring opportunity. He let his ream and his manager down.
But hey. Celtic getting it in the neck for not speaking out.
It’s still early here, so went to the BEEB first to see the half time score.
Red card and Tavpen was just about what I expected, but thanks for the comments above where the majority say the penalty was warranted.
Still wondering if Celtic would have been given both decisions in a crunch game but agree with Turkey that the overall impact is unlikely to effect our league outcome.

I agree. Complaining about correct decisions weakens the argument when we complain about more contentious decisions
