  1. Can Palma be the new Tam Rogic with his long range screamers?

    Hun skelper in the making!

    😃👍🇮🇪🍀⚽️🏆

  2. Good performance and 3 good points. In truth, days like today put football into context. Thoughts and prayers are with brave Palestine.

  3. Some very good football and passing for most of today, good game.

The goal to on target chances from opponents at Celtic Park is unbelievable, one chance on target today for Kilmarnock, one goal how often does this happen against Celtic at home?

  4. Result all important, especially after UCL midweek exertions & disappointment. Three good goals(two top-class).

We’re still work in progress – but progressing nevertheless – much to be happy about domestically – 22 from 24 is better than we may have hoped for with such injuries and new players settling-in.

Optimistic for Phillips, Scales, Palma – and with Hatate, CCV getting up to speed, we must be optimistic.

Just back from game, very enjoyable. GB drummer puts in a shift, ma heids nippin. 😂

  6. Some good football today. Real team effort. Thought the Killie players left the boot in very often. Constantly fouling and being allowed to do so by the ref. This new guy must have been well schooled in the Dallas course for Referees when faced with decisions in favour of Celtic.

Thought Hatate was extremely good today. He is back to his old self. Never stopped running or looking for the ball. Thought Scales and Callum had good games.

  7. Turkey boy.

it was a great performance but we should’ve been out of sight with the number of chances squandered. james has missed sitters 2 weeks in a row. his best years are behind him. play the young ones.

Just back from game, very enjoyable. GB drummer puts in a shift, ma heids nippin. 😂

you have made a spelling mistake

    you have spelled 😡 with a 😄

    😁

  9. O’Riley, McGregor and Hatate will take some shifting.

Barnardo, Holm and Turnbull will have to be very patient

  10. I’d love Brendan to try a 3-5-2 when circumstances allow.

    Fit in one of Barnardo/Holm/Turnbull

Try Kyogo & Oh up front

Back 3 of CCV Phillips Scales

    Impact subs

    AJ and wee Greg

Run the ass of the opposition right through the middle

  11. Watched the game in Jinkys bar Albufera…. Great place and a great performance topped it off …really enjoyed it….onwards and upwards…and hopefully a wee hun slip up tomorrow!!

Very enjoyable game today. Hatate, Scales and Palma very good.

And James Forrest played well again. The posters who have undervalued him for years are still getting it wrong

    —————

    Exactly!

Can’t believe how tight James Forrest gets it for the slightest mistake or bad performance.

It’s been like that from day one almost. Shocking behaviour considering his contribution over the years, his loyalty and the fact that almost every other player gets leeway, except for Jamsie.

The fact that he doesn’t even have a dedicated song and probably won’t until he’s retired is telling on its own.

    Mon wee Jamsie Forrest! 😃👍🍀🇮🇪

  13. Watching Cristo Palis v Notnam Foris game

Utter shit…..but obligated cos a have a fyoo bets oanit

  14. I’d guess wee Jamsie would be the first to admit he’s not the player he once was. He’ll still love getting a game though

    Enjoyed the game today.

Players of match for me were Reo, Liam Scales and Luis Palma for his goal and first half display.

    Callum and CCV also excellent.

If Luis can add a bit of pace to his game he will brxx CD a terrific signing.

  16. I think our last two performances suggest if they aren’t already there yet, this team could shortly be improved from last season.

The midfield three have reacted so well to Brendan’s management that they’re functioning as well as ever. He’s obviously raised MOR’s level of performance and brought consistency, Calmac is reveling in the extra responsibility, and his words about Maeda were interesting. He basically said he plays best when he isn’t being lazy, pressing hard and quickly, playing with as much intensity as he can. It was interesting he kept him on for the whole game even after a hard midweek game.

Scales definitely offers us something Starfelt didn’t. A left footed cb who is very comfortable on the ball and is probably one of the better passers in the team now.

Defensively he’s looked comfortable at Ibrox, away at Feyenoord and against a good Lazio team. Today he won everything in the air. With a fit CCV he could form a very useful partnership

This is what Brendan said about him

“He’s probably one of the biggest surprises of my career as a coach. It’s only because I hadn’t seen him play that much and there were other players ahead of him.

“Through people leaving and others getting injured, I’ve seen enough in training to give him the opportunity.

“Ideally you always want a left sides centre back in your team that has good pace and intelligence, and he has all of that.

“You see the way he plays and is performing and he’s really grown and I’m so happy for him”

Palma obviously isn’t Jota yet but he looks like he’s capable of making important contributions in big games. He looks like a match winner.

there were times today when I thought we played as well as we ever did under Ange. Brendan has worked wonders with a squad that might have gone into a dull after Ange left. I’d forgotten how good a man manager he can be. Very promising signs

    Rainy days in Parkhead.

Crowd naturally down due to the weather, no problem with the surface or drainage on a glossy pitch we stroked our way, to all three points. Another first for Celtic an unprecedented lead after just eight games.

Bright one and two touch football, soon unpicked Kilmarnock, who’d opted for Derek McKinnes and his parked bus routine alwYs a favourite. Reo Hatate’s sublime drag back, all in a oner nutmeg, opened a parting, driven into by the Japanese star who slotted the opener, for a vintage Celtic strike..

With total possession Celtic forged eastwards and Killie slipped up, allowing Louis Palma a second bite he couldn’t refuse. Great whip, from the Honduran saw the ball zip past the keeper to nestle in the net and Celtic were suddenly winning by the length of Springfield Rd.

The second half saw Celtic exact more of the same with the Ayrshire club pinned back and reduced to zero chances. Celtic could and should have added a third long before Greg Taylor was fouled whilst in attack, and nowhere near left back. Alistair Johnston lost out in a resulting duel on the touch line, and the ball was rolled to where wee Greg might have been, for an easy finish for Killie.

The 2-1 scoreline didn’t reflect the game at all, and when Taylor popped up, out of position but this time in a good way he prodded in Celtic’s third from inside the six yard box, to restore how the game was really playing out.

Louis Palma had a decent game and is the closest to a Celtic winger, we’ve gotten this season. CCV and Liam Scales jousted for man of the match. O’Riley, MacGregor and fast getting fitter Hatate were excellent. Shout out for superman hero minus a cape, Daizen Maeda, whose tackle and lung bursting, eighty odd minute full pitch run deserved at the very least a goal.

    MOM Liam Scales

  18. Well done today, and Hatate back to form . Still gutted about cheating ref midweek.

Sorry to hear about wife of Sir Alex who put in the boot in his book to their directors who questioned his marriage to a Catholic !
