  1. That is why I get annoyed with Celtic Fans posting on here that with our superior resources Titles should be a given and we should be winning the League at a canter.

The Huns are and always have been cheating bassas and they are aided & abetted by cheating or intimidated Refs.

That fact we keep winning Titles is a sweet revenge, every Title should be celebrated with gusto, I know I will celebrate this one as much as any and anyone who tries to downplay it can take a running jump as far as I’m concerned.

Oh, and I say again Resolution 12 isn’t about raking up the past. It is about what happened today and what we will face in the years to come. It’s not about Rangers. They died. It’s about the ABC SFA.

Did Jermain Defoe ever punch anybody in his entire career before he went to Zombie Land?

    ————–

He broke Craig Gordon’s arm, Spurs v Sunderland, was a bad tackle, deliberate in my book.

  4. well since I started watching celtic in 1965, we have been cheated but we still won the big one, and you know what keeps me going,is the fact that them orange cheating bassas will never win it, lurkin huns girfuy.hh.

  5. My “Billy McNeil” football story,

Back in the late 90s when Billy was with Hibs, I was asked to referee a match between Scottish Universities and a strong Hibs reserve squad.which was managed on the day by Billy himself.

It was daunting seeing him on the touchline, as he was a hero of mine since he bulleted the ball into the Pars net to secure the 1965 Scottish Cup – my first Celtic final.

As we entered the final few minutes of the first half, a raking Hibs shot was punched onto the crossbar by a Uni defender – obviously a penalty kick and technically a red card.(as the Hibs players reminded me !). The shot actually damaged the defender’s wrist, so I told him to go off ‘injured’ and I’d speak to his manager at half time. about a possible replacement.

After the penalty was dispatched, an even more vocal Billy was not happy that his team faced the prospect of playing against 10 men for the remainder of the game – and let me know about it very loudly and ‘articulately’ for about the longest 2 minutes of my refereeing career.

At half time, I went to the Uni manager and told him to bring on a sub for the second half – and not the guy with the injured wrist right away obviously. He too wanted a full strength team at his disposal to try out his squad.

I then took a deep breath and went across to speak to a still irate and agitated Billy who I had to slowly calm down so that I could explain about the Uni substitution to keep the game meaningful, (I don’t think his team were that happy as they thought they could rack up a few goals against 10 men.)

Suitably placated, Billy thanked me for common sense handling of the situation and thankfully became the mild mannered legend I remembered – apart from the usual inputs on decisions in the 2nd half !

You know what they say about meeting your heroes …

  6. Okay, no surprises from Ipox. I undertand that The Orcs hold the record again for penalties awarded in a season and also fewest conceded. That can’t be true?

Removing tongue from cheek I can only repeat my mantra for many years, fix the refs and we fix the problems.

  7. In spite of the fact that Celtic are on an incredible run of success, the view I mainly hear expressed by Celtic fans is that we are not very good. We WERE good but we are not very good now. That seems to be the general view .Unfortunately, I do not recall the VERY GOOD spell when supporters were actually expressing that sentiment. I cannot remember a time in the last eight years when a majority were actually praising Celtic.

I believe that if we were to win every game by the fabled 5-0 scoreline, the majority opinion would be that the opposition is rubbish.

Our support, thanks to the Green Brigade, can be fantastic. Too often , though, we are far from that.

Surprise, surprise huns get a penalty that even Walker questions

    ………………………..

Sorry mate but you are Wrong …

On the replay of the 1st penalty…Walker states…” Katic felt contact and was right to go down, he has won his team a Penalty”.

2nd penalty, Aberdeens Considines arm barely BRUSHES the Top of Katic’s head,…Katic goes face down on the pitch…er…HOLDING his FACE ??

    Considine given a 2nd yellow…then a Red..Off ??

Now this feckin Ref Don Robertson..has DEEMED that the “Contact” by Considine was worthy of a yellow Card and a Penalty….and YET…..he has watched Dons Goalie Joe Lewis easily collect a loose thru ball and gather it to his chest whilst still standing up….The onrushing Defoe, delivers a Right Cross with his Fist right into the Goalies Face…NO yellow or Foul given against defoe…who soon after DELIBERATE;Y Handles the Ball when it’s in the air, and gets a yellow Card…that SHOULD have been his 2nd Yellow…and that was in the 1st half at 0-0.

With the Huns winning 1-0…and Aberdeen needing a Goal…McInnes TAKES OFF his clubs Top Scorer this season……Cosgrove……feckin brilliant Tactics Del Boy…You Twat !

A poster earlier on here stated that the Hun support “Deserved Credit” for observing the Minute Tribute to Big Billy……..THOUSANDS of Huns in the stands DID NOT Applaud at any time……arms crossed, hands in pockets, picking their noses etc etc……Scum Bags !

  9. Hi Bhoys

Stephen Houston R.I.P. Dropped my mhate off fae the pub last night right outside Stephen’s house and although we knew he wasn’t home we were hoping he had a good day.

Then read the sad news this afternoon of his passing. God bless and keep you MA&H.

    KEEP THE FAITH

  10. Normally at this point of the season, our goal difference is worth an extra point. Not this term.

    2 possible reasons;

The huns penalties – is it an actual world record?

We badly miss Leigh – I truly believe that Roland has a lot to answer for in regards his treatment of our 40 goal a season striker. There are talk about ‘confidence’ players, how they like an arm round them etc….

Wee Leigh never fitted into Roland’s plans, was plain to see. Why? I dunno, maybe because Leigh actually achieved on a football park something Roland never could, despite not being the ‘perfect teeth, cheating on your wife and leaving them character’ that Roland was himself.

Oor Leigh needs hugs, here’s one from me wee Mhan…. Lenny will second that too… please bring your 40+ goals back. You know we love you as you do us.

    Hail Hail ??⚽️

Have I read you right? Good story about Cesar but the ref, and rules, just apply them fairly ma man. Seems you did neither.

Apologies if I’ve read you wrong.

    Hail Hail ??

Surprise, surprise huns get a penalty that even Walker questions

    ………………..

IF You are talking about the 2nd Penalty to the Zombies, all Walker did say was ” It didnt deserve a Yellow Card…and the subsequent sending off”.

It was BLATANT CHEATING by The Hun Katic on BOTH OCCASIONS for both Penalties…and the Hun Ref.

Due to the antics of defoe in the 1st half, with punching the Dons goalie…and then the deliberate hand ball ( he did get booked for that)….even the Main Sky Commentator who’s sitting with Walker….stated something along the lines of ” it MUST be something to do with playing “Up Front” with rangers” …or words to that effect…That statement was an OBVIOUS REFERENCE as to how Morelos conducts himself in every game…and Today we had Defoe following suit !

I think I read that Davie Moyes was in attendance yesterday, maybe to pay respects to big Billy ? Not sure if Billy signed him but Davie Moyes would have kicked a ball for us in the 80s

Good point. To my shame, I diddn`t think of the incredibly obvious Big Billy connection.

Best post on here for a while. Unfortunately it’s Scotland we live in, and much as I despise what they stand for, I’d love them on my side going into battle….

If only they could see the good side of the force.

Hail Cesar, Hail Scotland, Hail Hail ??

  17. delaneys dunky ,nice to see you posting after what you have been through,.god bless pal.hh.

  18. See this getting the points tae get over the winning line ,seems it’s hard in every league

  19. The hands cant hit what the eyes cant see on

    From BBC:

“Only Liverpool and Manchester City have earned more Premier League points than the 16 Leicester have won since Brendan Rodgers took charge in March.”

Don’t know what you got till it’s gone.

  20. Often when watching the game live I think we are not playing well then I go back and watch the game without the nerves and find we actually played a good well controlled game

I even notice the players body language and they look more relaxed than when I was watching live

I am not a big Neil Lennon fan he does not have the character of what I look for in a Celtic manager, but he is a street fighter and will never give up or take the crap ala Mowbry if he gets the job I can live with it, but I hope it isn’t Moyes

  22. Hi Bhoys

I see Leeds scored a dodgy goal today whilst an Aston Villa player was down injured.

Then the Leeds manager ordered his players to let Villa score an equaliser. Pure class.

Robinson and Motherwell scum take note.

    KEEP THE FAITH

  23. The Hands Can’t Hit (Defoes can) 6.17pm

Leicester’s upcoming fixtures when BR left were a major (in my opinion) factor in him taking the job… early brownie points, I actually thought he would have secured 7th by now and an English CL winner would have possibly given him Europa league football … there is no way our ex-manager didn’t have a wee look at the fixtures before his midnight flit :-)

  24. weebobbycollins on

Tony Rome…whilst I agree with you, I dislike the use of the word ‘scum’ in this case…

  25. WEEBOBBYCOLLINS

Sorry if I offended you BOBBY but after their behaviour at Celtic Park I’m sticking with it. He and his players deserve the label.

  26. Celtic fans in the United States have unveiled a huge tribute to club hero Billy McNeill.

    https://i2-prod.dailyrecord.co.uk/incoming/article14908652.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/0_D5MmchpXsAAnH1t.jpg

The football world was left devastated on Tuesday at the news that the Hoops’ former number 5, commonly referred to as Cesar, passed away aged 79.

Billy died after a long battle with dementia plunging the worldwide Celtic community into mourning.

Now, fans in America have revealed their own special tribute to the icon.

Irish pub Jack Demsey’s – situated just yards from the Empire State Building on West 33rd Street – have plastered a large poster of the hero lifting the 1967 European Cup onto their outside wall.

It was shared onto Twitter by fan account @HomeBhoys who wrote “New York Knows.”

The poster echoes a campaign that took place in Glasgow in 2017 – marking 50 years since Celtic’s iconic win against Inter Milan.

The guerrilla street art could be seen across the city with a Twitter hashtag #Cesar67 was created to track each new discovery.

After Billy’s passing, those who put the posters up want his image to return to the streets of Glasgow the night before Celtic’s Scottish Cup Final with Hearts on May 25 in tribute to Cesar.

They tweeted: “To celebrate the life of King Billy, looking at printing 100 odd of these to give out for free, to plaster city centre and route to Hampden the night before the cup final just trying to see people’s thoughts.”

  27. Now, some may call it Blood Money. But a double of ‘penlty in the match’ and ‘red card in the match’ at 13/1 given the recent history of this fixture was too good to ignore.

  28. Hot Smoked ( ages ago )

Was speaking about this at the game yesterday.

The vast majority of Celtic fans don’t moan or whinge full stop. There are a percentage who moan and whinge on the internet, and within that percentage there are some who actually attend CP and still moan and whinge about how bad we are.

It’s what the internet is for, its not it seems for praising Celtic or celebrating success and too often those who post, like you say moan and whinge. A smaller percentage again within the moaners and whingers, give rationale as to why the are unhappy, which is fair enough.

Its particularly bad just now because we’ve a caretaker manager trying to get us ‘over the line’ coupled with genuine concerns about the state of the playing squad This particular blog is deserted when Celtic win and more deserted when we win comfortably. Again its at its busiest when the transfer window is open, that’s when serious moaner and whingers get stuck in. Window closes

    blog deserted.

Some whingers and moaners have even left this blog because the host is too pro board, I’m told.

how many of the 60,000 or so Celtic fans, that were inside Celtic Park yesterday, went on to the

internet, and moaned and whinged despite Celtic scoring a miraculaous goal and going 12 points clear?

Who knows? Maybe there’s even a moaners and whingers waiting list, but we do not celebrate success well on the internet.

    IMHO CSC

  29. weebobbycollins on

Tony Rome…I’m not offended at all…I just think it’s too strong a word for this particular case…

However, if you think it’s appropriate, what can I say?

Anyone notice the Killie keeper on numerous occasions kicking the ball from hand outside the 18 yard line…Artur Boruc is still the only keeper I have ever seen being penalised for that offence….

    V Falkirk…remember the situation anybody?

  30. LARSSONSE7EN on 28TH APRIL 2019 5:49 PM

    EMBRAMIKE on 28TH APRIL 2019 5:29 PM

The game was essentially a friendly and refs tend to be flexible with regard to substitutions, dealing with cautions etc. in such games. Likely the same goes for ‘behind closed doors’ games arranged by Clubs like Celtic for fitness purposes, trials etc.

It was Billy McNiel that was fuming at the prospect of playing against 10 men as these games are designed to give the squads a decent run out as competitively as possible. I went along with him using common sense.

As for applying the “Rules”, they state that the use of abusive, offensive or insulting language or gestures is a Red Card offence. If refs didn’t use some discretion in official games, never mind friendlies, professional or otherwise, we would see 7-a-side football in a lot of second halves..
