  1. Right now I could not care less about 10 in a Row or indeed the Treble Treble.

Going to concentrate fully on winning the league title on Saturday lunchtime and celebrate like its a helicopter decider.

They will be hurting so bad watching us.Don’t forget how bad they will be hurting.

It’s a small world one of my best muckers (was texting me yesterday moaning about Celtic :-) grew up with BT… for last couple of decades if not at a game, in Coatbrig then I would be in Blantyre … my good friend, who wasn’t a bad footballer always said BT was a player until he got his bad injury .. I was a bit in awe when he told me about BTs dad & Lisbon Lions a few years back I was unaware I just thought BT & HT had no imagination for a blog name other than Hamilton & Blantyre :-)

  3. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    Embramike,

If refs played it by the rules then I doubt they would face much abusive language after a few were sent off and a few games were awarded to the team with 8 players on the park.

Common sense dictates ref to the rules and those that want to play will conform.

Celtic should be romping this league with the supposed greater quality we’ve got. A lot of Pish excuses for players whose wages are supposed to reflect their superior quality, no turning up or lacking consistency. Have ring about other clubs struggling in the odd against clubs lower in their league when were struggling against all the clubs including the lower clubs before the split. While there might be a bit of leeway for the manager, the players know what they must do and they’re stumbling over the line if we get there. Also had enough Pish about fatigue, I know guys that work 7 x 12 shifts working for a living so I’m no longer accepting this Pish as a reasonable excuse. Couple of hours a day training then off to the golf, aye knack erred they must be.

  4. And by the way was this not ment to be the season when we ‘folded like a deck of cards’ after not achieving the financial rewards of Champions league group stage qualification ?….Didn’t mr King say something like that when he was trying to flog season books a year or so back?.

  5. lets all do the huddle ? on

love the way the bbc website describe sevcos 2 goals as a ‘tavernier double’

strictly speaking true – but it ignores the main thing about both goals. and why they were allowed to happen

I chuck CQN every Monday morning .. have a wee lurk, if nothing catches my attention I then think av chucked the addiction …. then I agree or disagree with a post and need to add ma tuppence worth in … wee Oscar attracted me to the blog to see the videos before I knew who to register / post … in my opinion it should always be about Celtic good or bad, board ? good or bad but less important … then the personal stuff like big Billy and MAH, that’s when Paul’s blog takes the blogging away and it’s just plain and simple punters posting from the heart, the blog is there to be used as a vehicle to mump, groan & moan … am just glad it’s here … or I would be sitting talking to maself :-)

In fact I think the first time I ever posted the very next post you left :-) ?

  7. Yep GFTB, I have tried to quit a few times but when you are fairly isolated from the general Celtic Support, you do end up with no Celtic chat whatever. Generally I now tend to stick to the football and try and avoid political & social issues but fron time to time I fall by the wayside.

  8. Catching up on Sportscene highlights and even leaving all emotion aside about our goal, WHAT a directed perfect header that was from Simunovic!

I have let myself down many a time, typing an argument is my biggest annoyance … but 99% of the time I hope I post about Celtic … and not just in the last few weeks which have been quite Celtic emotional CQN is a pretty special place and the good far outweighs the odd bad times .. a bit like life :-)

As a youngster (48) on here I sometimes just read and learn when it comes to Celtic, my dad passed in 1995 and I was the youngest of 5, my dad spoke and told me a lot about Celtic and he followed Celtic probably more than he should have in the 50s & 60s… no regrets from mecbut I sort of wished I asked him more about Celtic … even at the age of 7 with Kenny Dal left I probably thought I knew better so I didn’t have to ask him :-)

  11. i'vehadtochangemymind on

I’m sure it is but when a good cross goes in, it’s a very easy way to score and it makes it very easy to defend against which I’m sure the numbers back up this season.

  12. weebobbycollins on

Corkcelt…I am so pleased that the medal is being returned to a deserving John Fallon…and I agree with you that it will be very meaningful to the family.

  13. Can we get a few Celtic fans to man the Sydney opera house & bridge in case our own Sydney Tim is about to jump … apart from Jamesy F getting player of the year … Peter Lawell has reached every KPI

ST if you are lurking JR fae Townhead, Coatbrig is the president of Sydney CSC … he is more Peter Lawell than James Forrest :-)

  14. Saw a few folk commenting yesterday that Davie Moyes was at the game. Still watching Sportscene and See that he also took in the St Mirren v St Johnstone game. Maybe his presence is more Scotland than Celtic?

  15. weebobbycollins on

And whilst we mention Lisbon…I saw the programme the other night about 67. I do believe I was on the same plane as the priest who mentioned getting his flight/ticket via Tit Bits…I did the same. I still have the confirming letter, though I’m still waiting for my pre-match tour of Lisbon which was part of the itinerary. The comment that convinced me we were on the same flight was when he mentioned the announcement that we were flying first to Cardiff to get a ‘bar’ on board. What he didn’t mention was the great roar that went up from those aboard the plane :-)

  16. I criticise the Club on various issues, but the tribute to Billy yesterday was fantastic, well done.

  17. Jobo 10.26pm

You could be correct .. again not sure of the time line but think Billy’s passing was a major factor .. as a fellow Celtic fan who also wants Scotland to do well .. Mr Moyes would be a “yes” from me :-)

  18. weebobbycollins on

GFTB….”Mr Moyes would be a “yes” from me :-)”

    For the Scotland job…yes?

  19. weebobbycollins 10.37pm

Davie Moyes gave me nightmares when I had to watch him playing centre half never mind picking our team :-)

For those who insist that the style of play under Neil is no worse that that under BR, I keep referring to our form after the winter break until he left.

    Quote from CBN article:

Trying different configurations to keep the defences guessing and altering the pace and style of the attack. Celtic scored 2.36 goals per game from January to Rodger’s leaving. They are averaging 1.3 under Lennon.

    Facts.

For those thinking that we should be waltzing our way to a title- Bayern Munich just struggled to draw with 3rd bottom Nuremberg and only avoided defeat by Nuremberg missing an injury time penalty. Our titles are always hard won and deservedly so.

*6 of the honest 9 were won by 5 points or less although to be fair when we won it by 4 over the Hibbees we then downed tools and tied the last 4 games.

The only time we opened a big gap was 12 over deidco and that was after 4 hard fought title wins where late goals came intae play and 12 over the sheep after only 2 points separated the side the season before.

Complaining about not running away with the title does disservice to those great Celtic sides of “10 mhen won the League”, Centenary Double and “Albert Kidd Day” fame where sheer hard work and endeavour had us claiming the title.

MON spoiled us but lets not forget that he lost a couple of titles, I know EBTs, but he still did. As for he who sold out the Patriot Game, good chance he may have thrown this one away, I’m still convinced he bottled it.

I watched Burnley/Man City this morning, the former are safe and had nothing tae play for bar local pride. When City scored they then played a possession game, while not exactly parking the bus off went kun and on came John Stones, and that’s why they’re champions.
