When has our board ever been united with the support ? In fact in a competitive sport where the fans want populism the good boards have to live with making tough decisions and putting up with the flak.
The striker front baffles me – our scouts return on investment in this area is poor compared to elsewhere and the market for predictable returns has moved out of our reach – just look At the tale of Cornelius at Cardiff.
But I don’t swallow the idea that the board are making a fool of me.

Governments lie to us, employers lie to us, politicians lie to us, footballers lie to us…..I’m not going to obsess about the bogeyman. I enjoy my football, it’s a welcome release and I’m madly in love with the tic. Maybe I cut them too much slack in the process but that’s me. Enjoying life and the alternative universe that blighted the 90s for me when the dead ones were at their arrogant peak.
