Todays results happen playing teams wh defend in depth, and well.No big deal.Happens to better teams than Celtic.
Gordon64, we certainly faded, but I thought we started ok.
I didn’t say we played well, just not as bad as made out, an opinion.
I actually think it will take another couple of seasons to see the full effects of what the club is trying to do.

For me at this present stage of the evolution of celtic/ scottish football/ football in general ..success would qualifying for the champions league group stages. .that is what the club and the fans need
It’s been very disappointing to miss out on that these last 2 years. When it was very attainable. I fear it will get increasingly harder to qualify
TurkeyBhoy, that’s why I thought Nir was not at his best, every time he got the ball he stopped to look around before passing., he slowed us down, not normal for him.

Thoughts
1) Kilmarnock had a well organized game plan & executd it very well .
If we had done similar in Malmö or at home to Maribor we would have been in CL
2) Our best player until 70 th minute was wee Jamesy, until the 70 th minute when manager switched him from right to left. Thereafter he was completely ineffective and our best player was Simunovic – says it all
3) Dont dismiss Hearts
3) Simunovic is a player, who will go onto a higher level . RD is a manager who will go onto a lower level

Maybe that’s the theory, but did you watch Bitton today? Often, he would pass sideways, then just walk forward. And I mean walk. No running into open space, no offers to receive the ball, no screaming for a layoff from Griffiths. Basically, he was sauntering about. 10M? Someone’s having a laugh.

On today’s performance we can have little optimism playing the best team in Holland.
WiTs, we agree, it is hard to qualify, so that is why it will be a test,
If we fail this test, I will find it difficult to defend Ronny.
But if he succeed, I will, to the hilt, given he will fail subsequently.
But given the task he has, it may take 4 attempts, Lenny got there after 3, so being generous, I’m that kind of guy, I will give Ronny an extra attempt.
ps, I liked the look of our defensive pairing today, just wish we didn’t have to change them every year.

If you have one striker in the box, with 3-4 defenders then very difficult no matter the quality of the ball in.
The tempo was far too slow and ponderous, there was no tempo. We are very predictable and easy to defend against.
I know there are games like that during a season and you cannot win every game but there seems to be an attitude of that will do among staff and players, we’ll win the league anyway. Pretty flat.

Plenty of high crosses into the box today for our solitary tall striker, LG. Ronnie-can you not see that this does not work.

Its the quality of the crosses that make the difference,as young Tierney showed.
I dont think RD tells them to hit bad cross balls.
