  1. lennon's passion on

This blog is a complete turn off. Every day is Celtic bashing and people always offended. Thank God CQN isn’t a bench mark for Celtic fans.

You should see yesterday’s e-tims diary if you think it’s bad on here!

  3. Cold wind and big black clouds -winter is coming -way down south .

    Yesterday ? .

A first for me . I fell asleep watching Celtic . . Must have been sedated by all that sideways guff and the let’s stroll 30 yards and then pass the ball 10 yards nonsense.

  4. Teams like Kilmarnock would get football stopped in most footballing countries and there in lies the problem, the orcs and their orcy pals at the SFA have strangled the life out of the game for their own benefit.

Apart from Celtic what can you actually say about Scottish Football, nothing absolutely nothing.

A shitey wee league run by even shitier wee men in blazers they neither earned nor deserve.

The Aberdeen fans won’t let it lie and neither should we, this is the only chance we will ever get to clean up the game unless of course booting the shite out of Celtic on here everyday is yer bag..

Unite and fight or wither on the dried up hag’s tit that is Scottish Football.

  5. Corkcelt. The reason I continue to post is to ensure that those making excuses for Celtic are exposed and that CQNs frequent attempts at revisionism are defeated.

  6. Ehhhhhh! So your post was positive then?

And yes I had a very nice chat wil PL and Mr Bankier, and all very positive, bit different from your possativity, but hey, it’s your post.

  7. The Battered Bunnet on

Damn cold in the gazebo yesterday. Being first to arrive the heating wasn’t on. Being the only one there, the company was poor, although the chat was nuts.

I thought Killie showed that Gary Locke might yet turn out to be a manager. There’s been precious little evidence of it thus far.

That doesn’t reflect well on Ronny, although no reflection was intended when writing it.

Not a great performance by Celtic, although James Forrest was a highlight, and I liked the pass Scott Allan made inside the full back late on.

Biggest positive was both Lustig and Simunovic completing 90 minutes.

Biggest negative was the Food Bank collection: I realised when I got to the ground that I’d left the bags at home. Doh! Wee drive over to Helenvale St on the cards for me today.

  8. I see the Aberdeen fans took the Bull by the horns, good for them they got up off their arses.

Celtic Trust/ GB? Naaaaaaa they’r to busy trying to get on the board.

Unite, no from what I can see, the support is more dived than it’s ever been imo.

Now it may well take something like silence from the club if there is no appeal, but when you think about it, the LNS thing should have been challenged, the pish that Bryson came away with was just that, pure and utter pish, the whole of scottish football are to blame.

In many ways I agree with NA2 and KevJ, starving them of cash is the only way they will listen.

The referees have cheated us since our inception, that is a given, we have had 128 years to do something about it, we had a very good operchancity a few years ago, they were on the ropes, we didn’t follow it through, if anything it’s getting worse, they have ramped it up, cos they can, cos they know we will do or say nothing.

And who gives a feck what the media say, they hate us and everything we stand for, so what if they round on the club, it won’t be anything new, will it.

Obviously I did not see the game yesterday, being ‘stranded’ in sunny Spain, but first hand reports from both daughters at the game leave a lot to be desired. Why are we unable to break down 100 per cent defensively minded teams soften? No idea, but watched most of second half of Chelsea game yesterday and they were my pick for the coupon. My friend here is a Chelsea man and I said to him it is like watching Celtic.Pass ,pass ,pass ad infinitum! What is wrong with a bloody shot! Imeanthegoalie might be thinking you are going to pass it!! Hit the fan thing at the goal,it might even go in..

  14. THE EXILED TIM

That’s exactly point, this close to justice will never come again and the support are at each others throats, on here anyway.

Bobby Madden riffed the game yesterday like he thought it was 1972 and that Tom Forsyh was silky like Kaiser Franz:))

I’m still hopeful that there will a) be no appeal and that b) our club will stand up and be counted if not the consequences will be untold and forever..

  15. Is it any wonder the board treat the support like thick shit if Tony Donelly is what they think as typical of supporters ffs.

Yesterday was as drab as they come but it was only our 3rd draw this season.

The Hearts nil nil we created enough chances to win 5 games, the 2-2 against Killie we were stupid to blow the lead.

Yesterday was the only game where we didn’t really create anything, a worry sure, but it doesn’t happen that often (but does happen every season).

I’m glad it all went well, the information I got about petitions was from a Celtic Trust person, although he is denying it, said I read his post wrong, or I was making it up?

What you gonny do eh? If I myself said that it would the case that you would have a petition to sign if you participated and got it wrong, then yes of course I would have no hesitation on posting an appoligy, but as I said I got a bum steer, or? Was set up, others where here during the conversation but no one seems to be stepping up, funny that eh?

My Mum and him always need a coupla months in Spain to recuperate from my fortnight back home.

  19. Morning all

I have not been on for a few weeks so hope all are okay here.

A terrible match yesterday. Poorly refereed and with two teams that could not pass the ball incisively or particularly accurately. I am really sorry at the way things are going with Ronny as 8 or nine months ago things were beginning to look really promising but there are so many players playing badly in game after game that I really do wonder what is being done on the training ground. Stuart Armstrong looked a great prospect last season but now he is a glaringly weak link in a team that is hardly filled with talent. Gary McKay -Steven looked an inspired signing but now when he gets the ball there is a collective expectation that he will do nothing good with it. C.1990 Big Billy was fond of saying ‘good players don’t become bad players overnight’ so it seems to me that something is badly wrong in the way these players ( and others) seem to be disproving Cesar’s maxim. I am not so sure some of the other newer players were ever much cop to start off with but I did not think , for example, that Nadir Ciftci was as bad as he now seems to be.

Tactically we are stale and increasingly predictable, People have tried to explain to me that playing with only one striker is a good idea even for games against Scottish teams and that playing wide men who are left footed on the right wing and vice versa and then I watch rubbish like that yesterday and just think they are wrong. Wingers who cut in regularly narrow the play and against a packed defence that is surely playing into our opponent’s hands. Leigh Griffiths had an unusually poor day in front of goal yesterday and as a result we only looked likely to score if we got a penalty or Killie put through their own goal. With Madden refereeing as he did we certainly were not going to get that penalty. On the plus side I like the look of Jozo Simunovic- he is not as commanding in the air as I had hoped but he can tackle properly and looks quite accomplished on the ball. 10 minutes is not enough to judge a player but I saw enough in the ten minutes he was on the park to think Scott Allan is worth a start . Overall though we were abysmal and the contrast between our pedestrian play and the 80 minutes I saw from the Bernabeu was shockingly vivid. I expect Barca to be better than us – they have been continuously so for the last forty years- but we now seem to be playing a different sport from them.

It pains me to be as critical of Celtic players as I have been but this is a forum for Celtic supporters to express opinions not a platform to simply extol our virtues. Even though the Board do not seem to share many of the values I or every single Celtic fan I know hold dear I will go to Celtic Park on Thursday. I would not be too surprised if we won either- other then in the early 80s when Ferguson’s Aberdeen had the Indian sign on us at Celtic Park have I ever expected us to lose any game at Celtic Park. But even if we win I won’t think we have suddenly become a good team. On recent evidence we are a long way from being that.

    Enjoy your Sunday

    Tony Donnelly67-

    My last words to you as I don’t wish to bring the blog (or myself) down;

You are a hypocrite rambling on about being positive when you spend the majority of your time on this site bad mouthing the Celtic fans in the “North East corner of the stadium” as you put it and the Celtic Trust, of which I would guess you know nothing.

on Friday and Saturday you unleashed a barrage of posts on here designed to undermine the foodbank collection, peddling misinformation and propaganda about political agendas and petitions being the driving force for this good deed.

I didn’t see much positivity in your posts then.

When it comes to being positive it’s a shame you don’t follow your own advice.

I’m glad you enjoyed your day in the boardroom though.

It was our 3rd draw in 15 games, so it’s a 1 in 5 chance

Mind you I have missed our defeat from those 15 games

My own view Ronny is unable to set out a team and tactics to break down a 10man defence in the SPL, (or is it our players ?) and with our squad and playing at Celtic park, we should be beating a Kilmarnock, playing like they did ?

I seen a Leigh Griffiths effort,* 2 including the free kick, a Scott Brown shot and Boyata hitting the bar in last minute, Craig Gordon had 2 good saves in last 5 mins, plus a last ditch tackle from Simonuvic, so Killie had chances which we are also being exposed to in Europe, but losing goals

18months into his reign I think players are still struggling with Ronny’s set up ?

    Hail Hail

  24. Just because you’re a Celtic fan doesn’t mean you’re not a troll.

Tony Donnelly will be delighted with the responses he has received today, he will be able to go to The Brazen head and bore them with his tales of how he managed to wind some on CQN up.

If there is any Celtic Supporter who can add clarity or be more precise

then please feel free to add clarity where appropriate ..

The most important aspect for me in doing this excercise was to

highlight that all Celtic Supporters in my opinion are Equal ..

However .. Even if my figure are remotely accurate it highlights

for me the scale of Inequally and the obvious fact that clearly

not all Celtic Supporters are Treated as Equals ..

My simple belief is that Brother Walfrid created a Celtic where no

man, woman or child should be treated as a second class citizen ..

I despair that Celtic have allowed an ownership model without

Inclusivity and Equally and where 30,000 members of the Celtic Family

in 2015 have ” No Vote ” and are treated as second class citizens

yet provide the majority of finance ..

If we are all Equal then let’s treat each other as Equals ..

Let’s start by acknowledging how important Celtic Supporters actually

are and that more unites us than divides us ..

Let those who are today’s Custodians realise that being a Custodian is

based neither on a birthright or having a certain amount of wealth ..

Being a Custodian is actually about Understanding that Celtic

Board Members, Players and Supporters are all part of the same

    Celtic Family ..

The real challenge for today’s Custodians is how best they reconcile

this and take Celtic forward ..

There is a real opportunity for those with Open Minds within Celtic to

Progress the Club with more Inclusivity, Fairness and Respect by

engaging with Supporters on an Equal Basis about how best to

Improve and Progress Celtic over the next 20 years ..

Thank you for taking the time to read this ..

  26. Quite worrying the lack of tactical nous from the managment team yesterday, this is a team going backwards under the present manager and board.

  27. Jimmynotpaul

To be honest I don’t need to, others who are in here go to the Brazen too, they toss in the odd jibe, I just laugh it off, I keep saying, it’s a blog ffs, no one dies, get real, but they get it, I certainly get it, but some just don’t, that’s not my problem.

  28. Saw Celtic v Hearts 0 – 0, which had the same script as yesterday, including the usual penalty claims, and desperately unimaginative use of substitutions. I heard RD saying at the AGM we haven’t been ‘defending’ well, but trying to pick out Leigh Griffiths repetitively in the same 4-2-3-1 seems to me, like making the same mistake over and over, and your not attacking well either.

Any SPL team that parks the bus at CP are as evidenced yesterday, are in with a good shout of remaining intact, and driving up the number of empty seats by the thousand, for the next SPL game.

The end of a bad weekend for Celtic PLC where it would have been better if the chairman had just remained Mr Anonymous where he was before Friday, the day before our Celtic support excelled in the charity stakes, as usual. Backing the manager is all well and good, but RD has to deliver a SMSM power driven highly unlikely miracle on a European night?

‘Not being good enough’ in Europe is just another excuse that the Celtic fan uses, for deciding there are other things to do in life, and not to be there. A digital stick to batter the club, for those that ‘used to go’, reek of nostalgia and now just malign the club, with the frequency and high speed broadband.

It’s a new phenomenon that Celtic are judged on what they do in Europe, it’s not new that we are regularly rank rotten in Europe, and with the players Celtic have assembled they are just about good enough to keep us top of a flat lining league. A league where your average Scottish Sunday Mason says it’ll be fine next season, when Rangers ‘come back’.

When, or if Celtic coerce the Celtic supporters to accede, that is the moment our club will have finally joined, all the rest flat lining, and not when they get beaten in Europe.
