I don’t doubt your integrity for a second but that’s an old firm comment from you. At the Celtic Trust we genuinely concern ourselves with Celtic issues .
Impossible to dissociate Celtic issues from Rangers issues.
You surely know that.
The attention given on this blog to hun issues surely puts that fact beyond doubt.
Impossible, that is, until the demise of Rangers.
No matter.

My point was that Bankier and perhaps Livingston too, do not have the smokescreen of a resurgent team on the park to hide behind. The feelgood factor is not there for the majority of fans so attention tends to turn to matters off the park.

My target is the SFA, who facilitated everything the Hun did.
For me, unless that is resolved, football in Scotland, which is Celtic’s raison d’etre, is pointless.
Continued support would be for other reasons than football and for me, that is not enough.
It may not be so big a deal for me, as I am in the winter of my Celtic supporting career, but what of the younger and upcoming supporters?
What empty shell will they be followings?
What value any empty victories for the CT or any pressure group if the game remains corrupts?
To read HT’s comments that their focus is solely on Celtic is disappointing.
Celtic is in my heart and will always remain there, but it will be nourished by my memories of triumphs and failures past, not in participation in a crooked game.

The positive we can take into Thursday is that Ajax know that even if they win on Thursday they would then need celtic to win in Turkey if Fenerbace win, as they surely will at mode. They are needing snookers. Their fate is in the hands of others.
Whereas celtics fate is entirely in our own hands ……. However safe they might be ?
Surely our unambiguous position will be more motivational than theirs ?

I think I acknowledged that our “favourite” status was a lot to do with the expected money to be laid on us winning rather than a fully objective evaluation of our chances.
Nonetheless, even taking that into account, they rate our chances higher than our support does. I suspect we win on Thursday but lose in Turkey. However, as it is always dependent on how the team performs, my predictions could be reversed in actuality or we could lose both ties. The outcome I least expect, two wins in our final CL fixtures, is the one that would give me most joy- regardless of bookies odds

Ajax aren’t the team they used to be, if the comparison is the Ajax of the early 1970s with cruyff, neeskens etc or the 1995 side of Davids , seedorf, van der sar , over mars etc that won the European cup.
Nor is the Dutch national team what it used to be and not too many Ajax players are established in that side.
But Ajax are still a decent team. Veltman is a promising defender, Fischer and el ghazi are better attacking players in my view than anything Celtic have up front.
Factor in our lamentable recent European form and it’s not looking promising.
But then a Celtic side with Graeme Sinclair and Davie moyes (I think) won in Amsterdam against an Ajax team with the veteran cruyff, soren lerby and Jesper Olsen so hope always springs eternal!
