The SFA can procrastinate for only so long, people will start singing soon and self preservation will see some major squealing.
Brilliant to see the Aberdeen supporters join the fight, we need other clubs supporters to do the same.
The SFA will be desperate to turn the Res 12 issue into a Celtic/Rangers issue, well done to you guys for not allowing them to achieve this.

I read the comments in Livingstone responds – any fan who posted this is way out of line. I’d need to see the source in detail before I can actually believe it. Livingston’s word is not enough for me.
I agree with Lord Livingston’s comment that the unelected House of Lords should normally keep their nose out of Goverment Policy.
I agree because I think that it should be bloody abolished! We should have an elected senate!
As I said this is what you get when you ask questions on res. 12 , it never fails.

I suggest that in the interest of tolerance and balance posting a link to Livingstone ‘s reply with the warning it contains, as it has to, why racism was a term Bankier used would be OK.

As usual there are lots of lessons to be learned from this episode but I doubt anyone wants to look at them, but primary for me is when you rush to judge anyone get all the facts first.
Then consider what you are trying to achieve by your judgement and ask yourself what will be generated?
Light or heat?
Finally and most importantly what do I want to generate?

My own feeling is that `good` or `bad` in the area of finance can only be compared on a like for like basis. The Club who most fit that criteria for a fair comparison are now dead !

There was probably over 40,000 there. TV tends to show the seats nearest the playing field and it is alway more sparsely populated in those seats.

Thank you and if I may add one more point, the role our media are playing is beyond shameful. They have had plenty of evidence LNS was unsound from last year and particularly the last 6 weeks and still they stick by the no new investigation mantra.
It is almost impossible to separate the self interest of the media from the self interest of those fighting a rear guard action.
Where it not for that there would have been no need for Res12 or the SFM work to have LNS overturned.
This goes way beyond football, it’s about the kind of society we wish to live in and how the media help create what we now have.

The ridiculous reaction to Bankiers statement at the AGM,is well,quite frankly that.Ridiculous.Racist comments were sent to a member of the board.Last night on here,one poster,who shall remain nameless by me,posted very similar,anti semitic comments.Why this should not be abhorrent to every Celtic fan who keep on telling us that the Celtic ethos is not being upheld by our board,is beyond me.The board had every right to reply to these disgraceful comments.
A lot of fans wanting a “Fan”on the board.I think a look back over the past few weeks,will give you a fair example of what that would be like.Most fans could not agree on the colour of their own stool,never mind whats best for Celtic.
I have no interest in the Board.I dont like Tory policies,but I have no problem with people being Tory.Thats a democracy.If we have a Tory on the Board,so what?.I have no idea what each individual on the Board does.I am sure though,that they all have their jobs.Celtic does not run itself.Are they good at their jobs?.I have no idea,but considering the economic climate,the recession,the lack of money coming into the club,financially,I am happy on that side of things.We are surviving well.Other things,I am not too happy about,but that is the nature of the beast.Are we the only club fans who are unhappy with their Board.No.How do you think,Sunderland,Newcastle,Villa fans,etc feel.Thats with all the riches being foisted on them.
One thing this witch hunt against the Celtic Board has done,is give our enemies respite.Jangles positively salivating today in the Rectum.The Huns,who,all of a sudden,no one cares about,troubles forgotten.
Just to finish.This latest outburst from Celtic fans demanding changes,and resignations from the Board,smacks to me of the very thing we have been slagging off the Huns about,
“We want real Cellick men on the Board”.How has their “Real Rainjurs men”worked for them.

You still had the choice in how you responded.
When we defend ourselves we attack those we defend against, its as natural as the sun rising.
We might not see it that way but that’s how it is.
It’s a self destructive approach to communicating, it simply stops it taking place as the issue gets swallowed by ego.
That’s how I see it, my philosophy and am simply sharing it. Like you take it or leave it.
The nature of rain is the same but it causes flowers to grow as much as weeds.
That’s three combative replies in three days from the PLC now. You’d think that, given many of the fans life- experiences and the clubs origins, that blatant anti-Celtic anti-Irish and anti-Catholic bigotry from the Scottish media would carry the same weight of offence to the PLC as anti Jewish. Intead they take their cash and display their advertising track-side. A curious mind-set from supposedly corporate-savvy types. Life is REALY very simple, but some insist in making it really complicated .
I’ve been accused many times as being a ‘happy clapper’ or a ‘brown noser’ on here because I believe that the board, in general, have run a steady ship.
I don’t oppose the notion of signing up for the living wage and believe that the board should take it on the chin and pay up. If it’s going to effect who we can sign then say so.
I do think that some fans need to have a reality check. Unless Celtic become an amateur community club that doesn’t compete at the top level, there will have to be some give or take with those who run the club. Even fan owned clubs like FC Barcelona have men at the top who are paid big salaries and have been involved in sleaze.
That’s because when it comes down to it…..you need people with business expertise to run a club of this size with the expectations attached. I’m happy for the fans to keep these guys grounded and remind them of the clubs values but some of the stuff discussed on here like sacking the board is utter tosh.

As a shareholder I was shocked that the chairman was so inept to use the phrase “criminally racist” and Celtic fans in his prepared speech. Any individual who has had any media training would recognise the folly of this. I have no concerns about the politics of the debate, each to their own. However to drag the fans/shareholders into a racist debate in the clubs name is shocking.
Mr Bankier has been silent on many other occasions, it is incredible that he should speak in such a manner on this occasion. I am not a board basher and believe we need a wide range of experience, however Mr Bankier is inept, and should render his resignation.

I am going to ask Paul if he reckons he should put up a post on Technical Support and keep it sticky at the top. This would allow CQN’ers to post about these issues and we can try to resolve.

100% bang on – The clamour & subsequent creation of a petition to remove Mr Livingston without knowing all the facts. Shows a level of intolerance I don’t recognise or associate with our club. By all means disagree, debate & challenge but a complete Intolerance of a different point of view, religion or even political persuasion, is for me not what a supporter of Celtic is all about.
We are surely much much better then that!
In the black arts of scoddish headline-hogging I would not rule out the possibility some well-motivated sleekit troll flying a kite with some of that invective aimed at Lord Livingston.
To be clear -all of it is hateful but one would have to wonder at the motivations behind such obvious, unconstrained vitriol.

Personally, I can understand the discretion the board operates with on certain issues. When you are playing the long game, you have to keep schtum.
Remember when they discretely contacted a section of the support over a fans hygiene? Some muppet decided to contact his fans rep on Twitter. A PUBLIC FORUM. Why not email him?
Some of the response was to say it was fake and part of some hun conspiracy. You only need to look a few posts up and see somebody suggest that the racist comments towards Livingston were made by a lurking hun.
Nobody can own up to the fact that there are some horrible folk out there who call themselves Celtic fans. They are the few who ruin the reputation of the many.
Yet we turn on the board or masonic conspiracy. Easy targets.
