This team needs totally gutted I’d be happy for the majority to go
These are the same players who have been treading water with us and any time a bit of pressure is put on them they buckle completely
Get rid of the lot of them bring in Hungry young players who have been released from big clubs and one or two veterans who can bring the younger players through and buy 2-3 good solid players at a couple of million
Look at the likes of Legia, the Dutch and Belgian clubs Greek clubs who can all hold their own in Europe playing in supposedly weak leagues with little TV money they don’t spend big fees and pay big wages
This has been coming for the past 2 years and it’s amazing we were only gubbed by Barca last year
Take this opportunity see it as the kick in the arse we needed and make drastic changes – if we don’t we are f##ked in the long term

I am actually looking forward to the SPFL. The team is down, our enemies are gloating, things are looking bleak. So what do we do now, fight back. I’ll be glued to every League game now and will rejoice more in every goal we score and every win we get. When the disappointment of today subsides the rest of ye will do exactly the same.

disappointed like all of us. pre season isn’t always a sign of what’s to come. i’ve watched them all and we’ve looked a soft touch. we’ve had many ups and downs in the last 14 years but what is glaring in the current squad is a lack of leaders, fighters and a team that doesn’t look like it can keep a clean sheet.

Fitness not the issue? The manager doesn’t help himself with idiotic tactics and selections but fitness is the rod these wasters are using to beat the manager with and, in the process, completely hang him out to dry in the arena of public opinion.

Very poor performance from Hoops tonight.
Who do you blame ?
Board for appointing a rookie
Manager and his tactics
Players on pitch
IMHO it is all three, but the biggest share is with manager and whoever appointed him.
Easy to be wise after event, but, I reckon if NL was in charge we would have (just) got through
PS , I saw someone quote we could sell Stokes for £2.5m
Knock a zero off that, he was a failure in England previously
Arsenal shipped him out, and Sunderland did similar, and his goal scoring whilst on loan in Championship was far from impressive.
He is a league 1 , £300 k player

Having a quick look, the EL draw could be potentially harder that the CL play off
Any team that has pressed us high up the park and put us under pressure has got a result against in the past few years and Legia were no different, anybody can play football if you’ve got time and space it takes a good player to find a pass when under pressure from two and three opponents, we don’t have any it seems!

Regardless of how bad the players attitude was tonight a new direction is needed from the top of the club.
Rangers’ club liquidated, our plc board’s guts did as well.
Silence over sfa corruption, aggressive downsizing and patronising the fans (anyone remember lawwell boasting about the money in the bank and how we would spend it ?!) .
This present Celtic board and major shareholders have turned into the Grants, Whites & Kellys of yesteryear.
Taking us all for fools that assume we will part with our money, faithfully through and through.
Either the board come out and tell us what their plans are for our club or step aside.
This team has downsized to a state of embarrassment. The board appoint a manger that no one has ever heard of and has them playing like a team never witnessed in a Celtic jersey.
They have not given him any money to put his mark on the team and will likely sell the only decent players he has, “to make up for the fall in CL revenue”.
Why would any club, never mind a club of the stature of Celtic do that or expect that of a new manager.
From what I have seen this pre-season and CL games, I expect we could be capable of putting up a serious challenge this year for the SPFL title against Aberdeen.

By all means give Ronnie Deila a chance if you think Celtics status has now fallen to a club were we bring in an inexperienced manager to learn as he goes along.Celtic are a big step up for Ronnie not so much so for say Steve Clarke or Malky Mackay.Mangers of this calibre could not accept being the fall guy for a board that has lost ambition.

Lads, the result tonight has nothing to do with Deila.
Tonight he went back and did what he said he was going to do. 4-5 weeks, he played the Neil Lennon way the players were ‘comfortable’ with and once again it was proven to not being good enough.
That’s both the Deila way and Lennon way.
I’ve also seen comments on here saying players not playing for the manager – that’s fine, move them on as we did when MON’s fiercely loyal warriors downed tools for Strachan.
I’ve still faith in the manager.
Scott Brown said the players have been watching lots of videos of their games and Deila has been showing them when they haven’t pressed and when they have passed the ball but not moved.
Lennon said toward the end of last season they never watch games again after (wtf!).
That is COACHING – which doesn’t just come from having a ball at your feet.
It takes time to coach a life time of habits out of someone.
What he needs is money to bring in the players who fit the deila way now, to give him breathing space to teach the others and work out whose adapting and whose not.
My current coping mechanism getting me through tonight and in to tomorrow is that maybe we needed a shock horror result like this to finally expose the downsizing which has been taking place in full view of us all, yet denied by the powers that be.
We sold McGeady for 9.5m and the funds were used to allow Lennin to bring in 10-11 new players.
We sold Wanyama for 10m and bought Biton for 700k
We sold Hooper for. 5m and bought Pukki for 2m and balde for 1.5m.
We will now sell Forster and Van Dyke for circa £16m – how much will we re-invest..
