Do you think Celtic should have paid money to advertise a game (or tournament) they have already received their fee for….pay to advertise to make money for somebody else, am pretty sure every Celtic fan knew this game was on, not sure paying more money to advertise to not earn any more money would be a wise decision

If that attitude had been taken by supporters back in 2012, Sevco would’ve resumed in the top flight as if nothing had happened.
It was only the threat by supporters of non-renewal of season tickets that led to them having to apply to join the bottom tier.
Similar pressure prior to The Big Lie being bellowed in front if our faces on a weekly basis as the quest for 55 begins for a 4 year old club, with no contradiction from the SFA, SPFL, or any of the clubs, might have made a difference in the wall of silence being broken as regards this utter nonsense.
Systematic deliberate cheating for over a decade at least, titles and cups stolen, yet included in the 80 plus titles/cups conferred by the ‘authorities’ on the Newclub, 276 creditors and tens of millions of pounds not paid, Insolvency law ignored, and no one outwith the Internet bam pots utters a word in protest at this farce.
Having paid to watch a rigged game before, in ignorance, why would I pay again, this time in the knowledge that there is zero sporting integrity, honesty or fairness in the Scottish game?
Especially when the silence from our own club signifies its acceptance of this awful state of affairs.

The argument about promoting yesterday’s game or not is a simple one.
Short term gain vs medium term gain.
Gerryfrae
You are 100% correct in the short term there was nothing to be gained by Celtic promoting the game.
Nothing to lose by doing a few more press releases or e mails etc to the fan base. Or talking up the Battle of Britain etc either
I agree no immediate upside though as the whole stadium was within the rights bought by the organizing company.
Your attitude is the same as I picked up on Friday from Celtics commercial folks. Probably the same held by PL and others at the club.
The view I posted earlier was more around considering the medium and long term position.
I am a Celtic supporter frustrated by our custodians lack of vision to change where we play our football and by the limitations playing in front of 5 million tv audience with limited exposure beyond this places us.
Our lack of impetus to resolve this is a huge strategic failing for us as a club which is otherwise we’ll run in the circumstances.
This pre season competition is well funded and is growing. There is some ambition in its structure. There is also decent reward.
For a brand / Club such as Celtic it is good to be part of it. Good financially and good for exposure to a wider audience which Scottish football rarely gets.
Important to note only 8 countries have clubs involved. Scotland is ranked 25th or similar in Europe. Our custodians have done well to have us at this table.
We have no divine right to be there. We could lose that place to many other clubs very easily.
Our appeal is important and viewing figures will judge that. However the energy and engagement of the fans will be important too. Contrast full stadia in Shanghai etc and huge tv audience for China and similar to a half empty stadium for a local derby in Glasgow.
No one advocated any more money being spent on promoting the game. The organizers dos a poor job on the ground, not helped by Vardy dropping out.
Celtic could however have talked it up and sought to share our passionate support with a wider audience. A nearly full Celtic park is still a hugely energizing thing for visitors to witness. I was simply highlighting a bit of effort to help secure medium term gain would have been good. Our commercial team pointing the finger at those guys from across the pond I. The USA for poorly marketing it is not good enough for me.
