Heard Scott Sinclair is signing on Monday and scoring a hatrick v Astana on Wednesday. :)

  2. garygillespieshamstring on

    Latest on Sinclair

His C5 was a waste of time and the Spectrum and ZX81 were both pretty naff computers. :)

  3. Great to see Kolo Toure being signed up…

    Welcome Kolo…

A highly experienced and, as BR knows him and has worked with him, committed addition to our Back line.

Think there was a great common sense decision made by the IOC not to blanket ban Russian Athletes.

Interesting paragraph in the Guardian’s piece…

“Within hours of the decision the International Tennis Federation had cleared all seven Russian tennis players to compete at the Games. “The seven Russian tennis players who have been nominated to compete in Rio have been subject to a rigorous anti-doping testing programme outside Russia,” it said in a statement. “The ITF believes that this is sufficient to meet the relevant requirement of the IOC Executive Board.”

Of course one Russian Tennis Star won’t be there, Ms Maria Sharapova. She is banned for two years for doping offences.

Of course it might be a bit unfair to blame the Ruskies for that one as Ms Sharapova has been a resident of the USofA since 1994.

    Hail Hail

Some people are moaning about Sinclair on Twitter (scotzine to name one). BR worked with him at Swansea during the best spell of his career. He will know him inside out, mentality, ability, attitude etc. If BR thinks he will fit into the way he wants us to play that’s more than good enough for me.

  5. SIN CITY BHOY on 24TH JULY 2016 8:03 PM

‘And here is a punter who swallows the story hook, line and lead, and is regurgitating it on the blog disguised as some mythical fact in his own mind.’

    Oh dear.

I suspect my point has rather gone over your head.

I think the article is crap. I said so on here at the time.

I think the story story was floated by Celtic to help boost season book sales by allowing The Great Desmondo to do a bit of a reverse ferret on his previous utterances about how great the huns were.

  6. Delaneys Dunky on

Agree about SS. Heard good stories bout him fae a Villa and WBA supporters last week.

Said he would destroy Scottish defences with his pace.

  7. garygillespieshamstring on

    Couldn’t argue with that.

Teetering on the brink of carry on up the cqn now though.:)

  8. Delaneys Dunky on

Grew up wi Sinky in Knightswood. He wouldnae know a fitba if it smacked him in the face. :)

He liked the Jags and Scotland a wee bit.

I see Chris Sutton has signed up to Twitter. Getting abuse from all sides. Seems fair enough to me.

  10. garygillespieshamstring on

Thought he was too convincing at being hopeless at fitba to be acting. Made Amido Balde look like a natural.

  11. A new manager bringing in a couple of guys he’s worked with before is good. He will know their attitude is good or he wouldn’t be signing them. He will know what they are capable of on the park and how they will be in training and in the dressing room.

If that’s Sinclair and toure for Brendan then it’ll do for me. I don’t have any idea how good they are but I thought graveson and ljungberg would be great for us. So you can safely ignore my missives on our signings.

  12. Absolutely brilliant to see Kolo Toure signing, this is a guy who has played against many of the worlds best strikers for 15 years or so, over 100 caps, 2 league titles, 3 FA cups and a recent European final. O’connel and Tierney could not get a more experienced player to learn from.

I hope he really gets Celtic in the coming season and stays as a defensive coach when he hangs up his

  13. I think its obvious ,BR wants Sinclair for his pace.He was terrific at Swnsea, sadly went to the graveyard of so many talented players,Mn City.BR get his confidence back

  14. STAIRHEEDRAMMY @ 12:46 PM,

    Thanks for the reply…

Thought I had seen Jock Cunningham mentioned with Deepes St before.

As you say, could be a more distant relation.

    Thanks Again…

    Hail Hail

According to interview on ctv, Kolo has a one year co tract with a one year option.

  16. John James latest worth a look. The iborcs roof story if truly shocking and a major concern. For a number of reasons. But the apparent glib attitude of the authorities concerned for their own folk, the denizens of mordor, is frankly baffling. I hope people do not pay the ultimate price for this. And it is that serious.

  17. Celticrollercoaster supporting Shay, our bhoy wonder along the way on

If Wednesday’s game does make TV, I could be persuaded to take a wee half day and go out and watch it.

Looking for a persuader or two? :-)

Was it not the Scotsman originally?

It was, indeed, an article in the scotsman and it true to form it was a load of made up pish. When did you start believing bollocks like that?

The story is 100% true, one of the 3 who was with King at the ‘takeover ‘,started singing The Sash,DD reacted verbally and subsequent actions, if I knew you as well as I know some guys on here I would email you the other names involved

  19. If the stories about the condition of Ibrox are true we should get John Paul Taylor on the case to ask some salient questions before we ask our fans to shell out to sit in an alleged death trap…….

  20. CRC: Go on, you know you want to. I can confirm that I won’t be working that day and I will be watching the Hoops in the Bad Ass Cafe in Temple Bar.

  21. !!BADA BING!! on 24TH JULY 2016 9:36 PM

I could well believe that the huns behaved like, well, huns.

And I could just as easily believe that The Great Desmondo would react to such provocation. You can take the man out of Cork………..

But I refuse to believe that the incident prompted or influenced his decision to sign BR.

I believe that was done out of concern about season book sales.

  22. Ernie Lynch

I heard of the incident from two credible sources unsolicited, but I think DD knew that RD’s day had come and gone and if he was not replaced by a “name” a lot of the support would go with RD.

Any sensible business man will act to protect his business.

  23. AULDHEID on 24TH JULY 2016 10:09 PM

But given The Great Desmondo’s apparent Damascine conversion in his opinion of the huns how are we to explain Peter Lawwell seemingly standing aside to allow a hun a seat at the top table?

  24. 50 shades of green on

    Inter v Psg.

Good i thought as I settled down to watch, only to hear Andy bloody Walker ffs why him?
