Our quick 1-2s/triangles was Barcaesque at times and once when we were attacking , RB had 9 men in a line across the pitch in front of their goalmouth!!!.I kid you not!
How many mullions do we get for a win in the champions league???

” didnt watch them, but 3-1 vs the 2nd place team in Germany is nothing to laugh at.
Their group touted the easiest, but last years CL finalists, Europa winners, a very good Atalanta team and the worst pot 4 away draw possible in Villa.
We can say all we want ,they would’ve been hammered by these teams in the past, but Rogers learned from Dortmund and our manager says that a loss to Aberdeen was our best performance of the year, and goes same again vs a Motherwell team crippled by injuries and staggers over the line.
I have stuck up for Clement, but their manager and recruitment is miles ahead, and all the “lucky draw” talk in the world doesnt change a feckin thing”

Predicted 3-1 earlier today , although I thought we’d be hanging on more towards the end.
Kuhn obviously fantastic, Calmac what can you say, Hatate as good as he’s been, but thought big Trusty was imperious.. We have got ourselves an absolutely outstanding defender. This guy, if/when he goes, will go for MULLIONS! What a performance all across the back line. Fannytastic.
To me that was the best Euro performance I’ve seen this millennium (teehee). I loved the Barca win, but this was something we earned, we bossed, we won!!

Absolutely brilliant night.
A privilege to be at Celtic Park.
Just finished watching full match rerun.
Best European performance since I don’t know when.
Similar start to European games of recent years.
We started well but the other team figured us out after 15-20 minutes.
We then struggled for a spell.
Difference tonight. We did not fold.
IMHO – major plaudits go to Trusty, Kuhn, Schmeichel and Hatate in that order.
But the prize has to go to Callum McGregor.
Captain’s role of the highest quality.
His best performance in a Celtic jersey.

still astounded of forehead at not the result but the performance
We did not look out of place, we very much dominated tonight
60% possession
17 shots to 10
5 shots on target to 3
8 shots off target to 4
4 blocked shots to 3
25 touches in the box to 15
All the above stats in our favour
Not many times we do that to the 2nd best time in germany

Good Morning Fholks – Grand Day To Be A Tim
Excellent performance yesterday, it was complete, technique, pace, physicality, tactics, personality and sublime fitness levels that seen us push on and dominate the last ten minutes, where European Clubs can could in the past back at us.
So our last two UCL campaigns are now
Pld 7 W 3 D 2 L 2 – The last three home matches won as we try to reestablish fortress Celtic Park
If we manage to compete at mid level table in this new UCL that is going to be a huge filip for our Club.
Once again a huge struggle to leave players out for JoBo’s POTY, especially when our leaders such as Schmeichel, CCV do an awesome job of heavy lifting.
Yet the three were real standouts and for quite different reasons, Calmac, a real top drawer midfield performance on top of a true Captain’s performance
Hatate showed the creativity that we all know he has, sometimes you can see, that relatively speaking, he came to football late, yet it doesn’t take away his awesome natural ability, a real baller as RBL found to their cost
Of course the MOTM was Kuhn, really bringing all aspects of his game together to look a top teir footballer – and a cap doff to our previous recruitment staff, we mined a gem there.
When you look at that performance you can see everyone involved in the Club since COVID can really take some personal pride in getting Celtic to the level a Club like ours deserves.
Still the job is not done and we know complacency will not be allowed to take hold – the end of January 2025 is where we look for the seasons milestones according to Brendan and so far so good.
Hail Hail

The improvement as we progressed has been tangible in all aspects of the team.
Pld 4 W 2 D 1 L 1 – Seven points, at least three in advance of where a good campaign could take us.
I posted last night after the game that NICOLAS KUHN was my Man of the Match.
On reflection this morning….I am going for CAPTAIN CALLUM MCGREGOR instead.

I really hope BR sees his future 5 years and beyond with Celtic and grow and develop the football club into what it can be, he will have suitors he will be offered huge salaries but I think the bond between him the club and fans has never been stronger, so I really hope it happens. We are getting better yesterday a couple of Aberdeen fans said we destroyed them at Hampden and they were going to watch last night’s game to see if we could replicate that, we did and a huge congratulations to the coaches fitness and conditioning people the Manager players and fans that made this happen and the plc board who backed the Manager, Celtic pulling in the same direction is an awesome sight.

DESSYBHOY @ 8:33 AM,
Great post, totally agree…
The fact is, if you go back pre Ange the players we still have are Calmac, James Forrest, Tony Ralston, Welsh, Greg Taylor…
If we can have a real development program and bring players through it is going to help with our consistency.
You can see the quality of young players like Kuhn, Valle, Engels etc who came through good academies.
