    Evening Celts,

     

    It seems like when Celtic are poor there’s a lot of new logins winding up etc.

     

     

    Tonight my friends it’s good to support the Celtic, this team tonight had fight in them, had skill in them, purpose and drive.

     

     

    Congrats to all at Celtic for a brilliant performance.

     

     

    Hopefully back on the blog more often as my retirement years will very shortly bring me closer to Celtic park.

    Have to be honest, when the equaliser went in my heart sank, watching a stream so around 30 seconds behind, looked over at the CQN thread and bounced when I saw the comments for our 2nd, got to enjoy it twice when the goal went in on screen.

    If somebody told me Calmac, Ryan Christie & Tom Rogic would be our midfield 3 against a team in Europe great performance from them all but those 3 especially

     

     

    We are a diiffrrent team at home like most European teams

     

     

    I think I might have posted if we beat Leipzig at paradise this isn’t that bad a start to the season, like a broken clock sometimes we get it right

     

     

    Boyata – Athens – Dembelle = the players & fans on a downer … now the bhoys are back in town … Benkovic is going to be some player

    Our midfield Bhoys tonight were class. Brilliant performances all over the park in the most part.

     

     

    Battled hard, determined to go toe to toe. Skill, power, grit and finesse for the passing.

    Plaudits all around, brilliant result. Thought JF was superb, took a few sore ones for the cause. RC superb, OE likewise. Held the ball up better tonight than I’ve seen him doing before.

     

    Weaknesses? CG looked shaky in the first half after the collision, dropped a couple of crosses that could have been punished. Said during the game that Lustig has the ability to create panic out of nothing. He had a spell where everything he touched went awry. Did you see the backheeler he tried on our own 18-yard line? And passing straight to their players when we were in full flow attack mode. We all know against fast, skilful players he struggles.

    Really good performance tonight. I love Mika and I think he’s a good player to have around the squad but it’s the one glaring area that needs an upgrade ASAP.

     

     

    Cal Mac was my motm. I doubt there’s a better football brain on the playing staff or that many are fitter than him. He does some running. Christie was outstanding too.

    Christie motm for me, would have made Scott Sinclair first sub thought he was responsible for their goal, shrunk in front of the cross, when you compare CMcG face first to block a shot.

    Brendan should make them watch that first half over and over, and drum into the team that that is the level of intensity we want every game.

    DD – agreed. Somewhere in a parallel universe, PL and BR have hatched a plan to keep him at CP for next two seasons. If we had had him and Boyata playing in August we’d be top of the league and in the group stages of the CL.
