  1. Just watched all of THEIR game v Lech (a turgid, terrible team with exception of their LB/midfielder Puczhasz)

With some seconds in, Sevco were brawny and calm and, like Gerrard, twas all about midfield control.

Arfield fouled with impunity and the new lad Zungu is a big, holding mid presence who breaks down play well, protects the defence, and sprays some nice passes – not bad for a free. Not as good as Soro, but 2foot taller.

As we’ve found against lesser lights, it’s amazing how simple, good organisation can get you repeat results.

I’d like us to go get a Fellaini-type (I know, I know…) tall midfielder to toughen our Mid, who can win headers, has a deadset eye for goal PLUS an experienced, calm defender who knows how to organise and inspire our sporadic shambles. Answers on a postcard…

Many thanks for SAUSAGE last night and the rest.

I wonder if that is the same Tony Green who went to St Mungo`s and later played for Blackpool and Scotland?

    A good comment regardless :-))

  4. Leicester have spent megabucks to get where they are.And don’t forget Vardy has always been there.

Soro was no surprise to anyone who watched his you tube clips. We got what it said on the tin.His omission has been a disgrace.

I thought Calmac was very, very poor last night.Passing was atrocious, caught on the ball to much.If he had been his usual, what a difference it would have made.

I would not expect a similar performance on Sunday.11 cloggers behind the ball.Any win will be great, but here’s hoping.Next Sunday, the same.

Finally, let’s get 2 strikers up front.

  5. Tremendous performance and work rate in every part of our team last night, I personally could feel the change in attitude on the park from the get go, albeit with a nagging fear that we may eff it up again. This feeling dissipated as the game went on due to our composure and the focused effort we put in to the game. We played as a team last night, amazing what a plan does, fail to plan plan to fail. More of the same on Sunday please Celtic, injuries withstanding same team on Sunday . Up the worker bees, honey bees take note ☘️

  6. Huns did very well to top their group.Dont forget though, the team has been assembled with money they don’t have.Lots of money ,they don’t have.I could say it was a very average group, but these are the teams of the calibre,we have been losing to.Benfica showed they are not a top bracket club with their performances.Been like that for a long time.No sour grapes though, with the lead they have over us,we must win at Ibrox, and it won’t be easy.

  7. Over the recent past, teams coming to CP and parking the bus has become an increasingly touted reason as to why we are struggling to win games.

Have the rest of the league just cottoned onto this tactic? Wasn’t it always thus?

Except we used to regularly play with a real winger and two forwards and blew their gameplan to smithereens in the first 20 mins.

We are out of Europe, we do not need to show domestic opposition any respect by playing 4 at the back and 1 up front.

    Go for the jugular.
