Problem is we have been looking for a CB for a couple of seasons now, that has to be down to the money men.
Whatever we go with what we have, but you would think that since the playing staff pay the wages of everyone at the club they would be the priority.

Im not complaining, just telling it like it is, we can build a team capable of winning the CL, as long as we are in scotland where there is no TV audience we are on our plums.

Looking at the squad at the moment a number of messages have been put out.
KC — not wanted.
SJ — being sold.seemingly.
CM — not sure where but he is out the picture.
NB — one competitive performance was enough.
EA — not on the bench will have been a sore one.
No issue with any of these as they were on borrowed time last season.
Then there are the more interesting selections where it looks a bit more complex
JF — Last seasons attitude and pudding boy physique should see him out the door ASAP.
However he will be a star for someone when he grows up and grows a pair.
TR — Not sure what to think on this …
BR doesn’t rate him — big mistake to me of JMcC proportions.
PL wants a bit of pressure applied to get a new contract signed.
Or worst of all possibilities — he wants out to try his luck elsewhere.
In defence of Siri! Funny how they were all greetin at the time of liquidation. If they really believed it wasn’t the death of their club they’d have been rejoicing having pushed for the shedding of debt and new start that it represented.
Funny how things change.

Thanks! Should probably be doing work!
Hopefully our experience of Qarabag last year will help.
Interestingly, from the team that played against Karagandy only Brown, Lustig, Izaguirre, Commons and Forest are left (Rogic and Ambrose were unused subs).
Quality, destroyed that guys world so it did, and his sons, aweeee shame :))

If it is all about the TV audience then we have to build one.
No use just hiding in a corner and complaining.
Everybody needs to get involved.
Make the football and spectacle at CP something that people want to watch.
———————————————–
TV revenue is an open sore. Scottish football gets a total of Cira £15m. Celtic I believe get about £2.5 m. Percentage wise Scottish football should get around £140m, but that will never happen in the current system.
This is a new dawn for Celtic, and we should be thinking outside the box. Be bold.
Let’s use the newest club in professional football to our advantage. Events have shown we owe Scottish Football nothing. Renage on the current deal and negotiate a Separate deal that s actually to our advantage.
The TV audience is there. The last Celt v Sevco game was beamed to 54 countries with audience of well over 100 million people.
Even if it took a year or so to finalise and the use of the club’s lawyers ( who don’t seem to be too busy at the moment) .
We are on a new journey, out with the old and in with the new.
Hail, Hail.

For those of you who have said they may give the Azores a crack one day.
At all costs, avoid the Angra Garden Hotel on Terceira. It’s three star rating must be on a very shoogley peg. Tired, tired rooms, overstretched staff, rubbish breakfast.
Generally our accommodation has been excellent, and I can recommend Hotel Ponta Delgada on the Island of São Miguel, and strongly recommend the Vila de Madalena on the Island of Pico. This place was a lovely modern guest house run by a dedicated woman, who could not do enough for us. She even gave us a wee momentous gift on departure. The views were outstanding and breakfast was great. Really good coffee, well appreciated after the previous day’s cheap beers :)
Just got an email from young Miss Hunderbirds who is hoping to hear back about a flat in Denniestoun for her second year at College. I had a flat in Cumbernauld Road when I was a sponging student (hello TD) it was ok then. Anyone got any pointers on living there today?
Result was everything last night. Well done to coaching staff, players and fans.
Onwards and upwards :))))

On another note, Ticketmaster.ie have put a couple of hundred tickets up on their site for the Barca match in Dublin.
I hear their Barca returns.

UEFA Champions League qualifier : Celtic’s away leg v FC Astana – Wednesday 27th July KICK OFF : 8pm Local time – 3pm UK Time.
Just popped on to say a big thank you to Hamilton Tim for helping me out with a ticket last night via the good graces of BMCW
The evening was a joy, more so because I didn’t expect to there.
Great atmosphere, good result, some nice football and excellent company.
We are at the start of Brendan’s road – there will be bumps but I am looking forward to the experience

Time he got himself back on here, btw. Did you enjoy “The Corner”?

I can only conclude Lawwell doesn’t see the same sell on margins in defensive players…?

Clogher – €70 a pop. MAybe I’m getting mean in my old age but that’d be €210 for me and the mini me’s! Before getting there, eating etc etc
It’s this stuff that puts me off football these days.
If we were to draw barca in the CL it’d be cheaper.
€70 for a friendly! Jeepers
great thing about last night was that br changed things completely from first leg
