  1. An Tearmann ….respect Sir …re yesterdays banner …no genuine Celtic fan will ever forget the HUMAN rights of the Oppressed 🙏

  2. There are a couple of midfield workhorse`s in Dundee`s team Lyall Cameron and Luke McCowan who might be worth a look at and also the lively Owen Beck, a couple of years down the road and the great Mr Stein would have these players as household names if not better.

Didn’t see the game but still shot shows an obvious penalty, probably wasn’t even checked. I think Barcelona’s record was 74 and subject to ref bribery!

  5. CHAIRBHOY on 24TH DECEMBER 2023 3:17 PM

    CELTIC40ME @ 2:48 PM,

It has to be said I don’t have a great memory, but what I said was spot on…

It wasn’t. Here’s what you said:

“AJ was on the wane last season playing injured“

He played twice between the first injury and his op – a cup final victory and a 5-0 victory over Aberdeen.

His form before the injury wasn’t on the wane it was great all season. 3 games against them in the previous 11 where Kent hardly got a kick of the ball

18 wins and 2 draws in his 20 domestic games last season

  6. Did the mighty well have ONE shot on goal today …apparently not !!!..,. Shame on you …Pettirew will be mortified 🤣…never mind you kissed the Masonic goats ass 🤣

  7. One fewer assists and as many goals as Jura in half the time as well

For all we say we miss Jura’s attacking threat it’s easy to forget that he only had 3 assists in his whole time with us

  8. Well done the “ mighty “ well ..,not ONE shot on goal …,the Masonic goats arse well kissed …what a surprise ….loosers …relegation as your reward …maybe ? 🤔

  9. CELTIC40ME @ 4:04 PM,

We’ll, we can either go with the Canadian NT manager and my poor memory or we can go with your agenda.

I’m sticking with what I stated cheers.

    Hail Hail

I don’t think I am conflating anything. You post a lot expressing frustration about the board and by your own words have a loathing for the current chairman (I have no idea if you know the chap but from a distance you seem very very obsessed with him and his family) yet you rarely seem to post anything vaguely positive about Celtic. It’s fairly simple

On your point about your Job. I am sure there are plenty of jobs the chairman couldn’t do. There are certainly plenty I couldn’t do. Plenty I wouldn’t do either. Whether you are a plumber like my old man, or a brain surgeon, or even a parish priest I don’t think it really matters whether anyone else would be able to do your job. I am sure no one would be bothered posting anonymously about you on a blog every few hours as you seem to need to about the Celtic chairman in his non exec role. I reiterate though ….. if you have a real belief that you can do it better or even have a model that you think can work better than the current one, in terms of how the club is run, then why not go and do what needs to be done. I have a friend who is based abroad and is pretty successful financially, he loves Celtic as much as me but thinks he could do better. I have told him the same and he is at least formulating a plan which might offer an alternative option. He doesn’t spend his days moaning on a blog about individuals with tabloid type comment. He is getting on with shaping how his plan might work before sharing it. If you feel so the love so strongly you could do that.

From my perspective I do know some of the most significant shareholders. Indeed a couple are lifelong friends. Not that my view matters but that doesn’t mean that personally I would be closed to supporting something that would be for the betterment of Celtic. Like you claim, I know my love for Celtic to be better would trump most things. I am sure this would apply to many fans.

Finally I am not really prawn sandwiches for me as I am a vegetarian but the odd cup of tea is fine. For the record I have always paid my way at Celtic Park, or my businesses have. I owe no one anything there.

  11. carpe diem 63

Well during those sixty years, ie since 1963, Celtic FC, have won 33 Scottish League Titles and they 22, half of which were won via football and financial chicanery, illegal EBTs, tax evasion and cross investment from MIH which was borrowed from and helped bankrupt the Bank of Scotland. Nobody is more critical on here of the Scottish (Lanarkshire) Referees Association, and we all know what we have to do to overcome that masonic cabal, and barring the Murray years we have largely done that. And we all need to focus on this season to maintain our own success based as always on our own efforts.

Thanks for the medical advice, always appreciated.

Good evening all from the Vicky Bar. We shall thrash Dundee hun, hun and Paisley hun. Eazy peazy.

  13. What is the Starz on

    Carpe Diem.

I watched the 2nd half of the game and in fairness to Motherwell I thought they tried well enough and caused a few problems for The Mighty Gers…They just weren’t good enough..They might have had a penalty, I was surprised the ref didn’t give it,but I think it would have been overturned by VAR.It would have been awarded to Rangers or against Celtic….But we can only blame Peter Lawwell for that 😉 😀

  14. Ha, can you image the pages on here when Peter Lawwell is knighted for his services to Football, particularly for his opposition to a European super league.

After that Peter will be elevated to the house of Lords, Arise Sir Peter of Parkers.

    Tee Hee.

  15. B78- The ‘Chairman ‘ ran every department at Celtic Park into the ground, as hes a meglomaniac, if you don’t know the term,Google it,it cane from being in too much control for too long

  16. Christmas Eve afternoon with the family away out tae dae some last minute shoppin and ponderin on another piece of larceny this morning when the realisation donned on me that we have not only 3 games to save our season, but 3 games to not just save the Scottish game as a whole but also its soul as if they are allowed tae steal this title then the game is NOT just a bogey but the baw is well and truly burst as we are the heartbeat of the game ever since we started out on November 6 1887.

So, in sayin all that I would like to wish all my friends and family a happy and peaceful Christmas in both my official languages:

Nollaig Shona and Nollaig Chridheil, as for the wee boy whose birthday it is the morra in that war torn part of the world, in his native tongue “Shlama lakh”

  17. I believe we will win our next 3 games if not and even if wedothe complete boardshould walk, be sacked orgot rid of somehow.

Derhun should be nowhere near us.

The quality our manager has to deal with is shocking. But Pedro and Markie boy playing football manager is more important than us winning the league.

Has any other board in our history banned our own fans??

Who needs enemies eh, gifting points to our rivals.

    D. :)

  18. Lets finish the year of with two wins and try and enjoy a close fought title race with us coming out on top. Its not for the faint hearted and I would probable prefer to be 50 points in front at Xmas, but it its what it is and weve been there before. So high blood pressure pills at the ready lets go.

Merry Xmas to all Tims and their families wherevever you may be.

  19. bigrailroadblues on

Good evening all and a merry Christmas from the centre of the universe aka Govanhill. You are an absolute shower. And I love you all.

  20. Bada Bing

    That’s never a penalty.

Confession time…Hands Up ….I was the only Tim shouting at the TV for the ref not to blow his whistle.

The reason for this is that I had the Huns to win 2-0 on our superbru competition -along with Celtic and Hearts to win 2-0 – and that non award has moved me up from 3rd to 1st place! In my defence I cheered when both Dessers goals were chalked off by VAR too!

Anyway, its not a penalty. Dessers only had a fistfull of jersey and another hand round the opponents neck. That’s not nearly enough to overcome a century of ingrained bigotry.

Billy Bhoy (currently the only Tim who thinks VAR is magic!)😂

  21. *SENTINEL CELTS PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2023-24*

*RESULTS FROM GAME #26 – CELTIC 2 LIVINGSTON 0 (KYOGO, SCALES)*

    Good evening, friends.

I’ll almost certainly be in the minority here but i actually loved almost everything about yesterday’s victory. The pre-match excitement (nerves), the usual pre-match meet at The Corner, the atmosphere from a well filled stadium, the fast paced, attacking opening half hour and the eventual winning goals. All in all, as good as Celtic v Livi at home can get!

The 2-0 final scoreline really flattered our opponents and if we play with the same intensity and desire in our next game I’m very confident that we will go into the final game of 2023 with a real good chance of finishing the year 5 points clear having played 1 game more.

We have now played 26 games under Brendan v2 and have won 15, drawing 4 and losing 7 defeats.

My thanks to the 62 who voted this time around. The total votes cast for each player are as follows, with my own nominations asterisked.

    Oh: 0

Nice to see the refs showing some early Xmas charity by refusing to give a penalty that woulda created a squeaky bum finish to the huns’ game. There was clear contact to his neck and arm but Biereth’s forward twist looked a bit exaggerated. Still; not to even use VAR to review the incident tells its own story.

Captain Arfield said it was a pen and that their ilk are regularly given. Ho ho hmmmmmm eh.

Like the air rifle stall at the funfair, the barrel is quite subtly rigged in favour of the carnival owners but it doesn’t stop the mug punters paying their entry ticket.

Typical pishin doon Scottish weather here in MELBS ;) as a tropical storm sweeps over AU east coast.

Have a lovely Xmas one and all, esp blogmeister Paul.
