just back in from the game and getting dried out , a shout out to all the brave supporters who turned up today in those horrendus conditions and to the players having to play in it.
Great to have the GB what a difference from the morgue atmosphere previously , a big welcome home.
Thoughts on the game , DM is never in a month of Sunday’s a right winger , missed umpteen chances to attack the ball in the box but looks timid , what’s happened to his pace , if your going to play meada it has to be outside left.
JF created more for the short time he came playing in his natural position outside right when he came for maeda.
Yang also did well when he came on .
GT and AJ poor once again.
JH very very little to deal with but you can sense the panic when he does.
we are still prone to the one ball through the middle and over the top, just as well livi had nothing up front.
Was one of the very few who stayed until the game finished and a nice touch from Yang to give his shirt to a young bhoy behind the goal.
Lots still to be done before we play thems next week , but will take 3 pts all day long.

last week I switched on Sky sports to check the half time score confidently expecting to see how far the Hoops were ahead and got the shock of my life to see we were 2 down. Today was worried about the result in this match bigtime after seeing the 0 -0 at the break.
Good to hear the Hoops were in fairly good form and did the business in the second half. Brendan and the team will be driving home for Christmas with three points in the bag.

Much better today thinking after first half here we go again but excellent second half and a couple of great balls by Palma.

just read back . lots of negativity from certain bloggers during the match but not the usual name calling from usual suspect maybe it was his pals .
KTF , and I thought the tackle on GT in front of the main stand from holt was a red card.

granted he got into some good attacking positions playing the inverted full back role but he has to do better and his defending is poor.
RC on
well done to Paul , he did say if livi failed to get a corner they wouldn’t score , hope this continues to be the case , don’t give away corners and we will have a better chance of winning.

His defending could be better but cant remember it being poor
No one in that team today was poor
Redemption is a beautiful thing and the team achieved that today
Still no idea what people see in Maeda. His exalted pace,in any game he maybe goes by his man twice, sometimes,he doesn’t.Cant dribble,no great 1st touch, crossing is diabolical, finishing, poor, passing, normally backwards. As I have said, there is a reason Japan play him through the middle, ball over the top.
He can run all game.So could any well trained athlete, not footballers though.A myth been built up around this guy,but for me,” The King has no clothes”

Some of the football was excellent.Never easy playing blanket defence.Against a bit more open team,5 or 6 today.Listened to the Livi commentary. So much better than ours, guy and a girl.Gave us loads of praise.
Really great support for the people of Palestine by the GB.
Huge credit to all in the crowd who turned out in the miserable conditions.
Almost all players who featured will feel better about themselves after today.
Conditions were terrible for football which may explain to some on here who did not go along jist why we weren’t always perfect with our passing.
I agree with Latchford that Livi were very poor but 2 banks of 5 are still hard to beat. Especially the size they were.
Today was great for loads of reasons. Not least the positive engagement of the fans. At half time when Fairytale of New York rang out around the stadium the chatter was punctuated with anxiety but there was a belief and a hope much more than criticism. I have not read back but I hope that was how it was reflected on here.
For me and for the next 10 days I don’t care whether folk blame the board or the manager or the players for anything. Even for Santa not bringing their pressies in time.
I really do care and hope Celtic can replicate the application on and off the park. If we do then I am confident the other lot will drop more points than us.

Today’s game showed us where the problem is. Confidence.
Look at the game BG – Before goal;
And AG – after goal.

Exactly, we have the best squad in the league.
Sure we can do better, sign better, but we still have the best squad.
Only Brendan and players can fix this.

I thought we played better football in the first half but missed a few chances.
Palma MotM? Not for me ! I thought Yang was better when he came on !
My Top three:
C,C-V, Calmac and Greg Taylor.
Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on
Enjoyed the game.
Enjoyed my dinner.
Enjoyed my cup of tea.
Enjoyed the read back.
Decent today but no more.
More aggression than versus Hearts for sure.
Two good goals.
We often applied pressure with quick play and crosses and rarely applied pressure with tiki-taka.
More of the former and less of the latter.
Daizen being played into fitness clearly. Miles off it today but will be better for the run out.
Great in defence and more than decent in passing forward
Palma, set up 2
Taylor for effort, played well and run for our team all day long up and down the left *and to get it up RC!

Agree with much of your comment on the game.
Also credit the support who stuck with it today.
Apart from Greg Taylor who imo never stopped today. Seeking to create space for others constantly against a packed organised outfit.
Like you I have just dried out. I reckon the penny pinching board must surely get its act together though and get a roof sorted for days like today. Maybe also a moving walkway under cover with a few stops at pubs and eateries on the way back to central Glasgow transport links. (Jokes).

Got on The lucky One
Came in eighteen to one
Frohe Weihnachten, bhoys!
After a sticky 1st half, grabbed the game 2nd half. Kyogo will be relieved.
Better application.
GB song for Palestine & poignant banner.
Added to atmosphere.

A routine win. Let’s work on finishing skills next week.
The real winners were the supporters who interrupted their festive shopping and merry making to turn up in numbers during that deluge. Respect!

Well played today who did well at Pittodrie midweek. Should have been out of sight at half time, missing some sitters, but back to winning ways !

Maeda is in his first start back after injury
Clear to see his touch and confidence could be better
With a run of games it will get better
We play both offensively and defensively better when he is in the team
