Celtic are playing like a training session. – predictable 3-4 passes to get it wide. Work a predictable cross into the box. No guile or creativity. We had chances but it’s flat.
Only played for 20 minutes. Not good enough, I’m afraid.
Also the finishing really has to be better.
MON won’t be happy.
As much as I love Calmac he is not a vocal leader. We need some leadership on the pitch to shake this lethargy

Nearly every effort has suited their goalie, who is a good shotstopper to be fair.
Frustrating first half. Lots of chances missed early on and a lot of slack passes thereafter. Maeda and Tounetki on the wings have done well but the final balls into the box have been lacking precision. This is a very poor Livingston team and we need to win the game convincingly.
I think another forward through the middle would do the trick.
Such a familiar pattern watching us play in the SPFL; battering them in the possession stats.

Forwards not converting the chances we are making.
Then frustration creeps into view.
Hope we batter them goal wise in the 2nd half.

We seemed to step off it when we scored.

A bit of movement off the ball in and around the Livi box would likely yield some clearer scoring chances. We need players to make some little darting runs to pull defenders about and create spaces for their teammates to exploit. Just standing still next to a defender waiting for the ball to arrive at your feet isn’t going to work!

MON knows how important goal difference can be in a tight title race. IF we win both games in hand AND beat Hearts for the first time this season when we next face them, we’ll be equal on points, but their GD is quite a bit better than ours. Hopefully MON will have drummed into the players at HT that we should be winning this game at least 5-0 to boost the GD… and they’ll go out in the 2nd half and make it happen!

Hatate provides the perfect example – a better ball and that was a goal.
