  1. We play Hibs next Sunday, then

St Johnstone the following Friday. However, if we beat Riga, then the next Europa game is scheduled for the Thursday before the

St Johnstone game. What gets rescheduled, the Europa game or the league one?

Ajeti is NOT a top level player’

The words of scottish footballing ‘legend’ and now esteemed pundit Charlie Adam.

He also said he would ‘struggle against the likes of Livingston’.

Has a pundit made a bigger arse of himself so far this season?..including Kris Boyd?

Charlie Adams predictions, are like his Sisters Pants, full of Crap.

  3. One great unknown this season will be the effect on games of no fans.

Teams coming to CP or Ibrox must feel they have a better chance. Our players must miss the noise, must miss the buzz of the big game atmosphere.

Think of the times sustained pressure to get an equalizer or a winner results in a deafening wave of sound which drives the players to further effort still.

It is a big miss and one that especially impacts us and the huns.

    haha

You can almost smell the fear in the words of these rangers men in the media.

So concerned that Celtic are wasting their money.

Truth is we have a squad of quality they could only dream about.

All this talk about ‘the big two’ in scotland…..on congratulating Hibs on a positive result today when one look at the facts and stats since the ibrox club rejoined the top flight will tell you that there has only been a ‘big one’.

Shocking attempts to try and elevate an average manager [at best] who has done a bang average job .

Can’t say I agree with that. We’ve heard it in the past when Aberdeen, Hearts and even Rangers have made decent starts. It’s a long season, injuries, suspensions etc will come into play.

I predict Hibs will finish at least 15 points behind the eventual winners.

  7. lets all do the huddle on

i think we should show off how good we are by flying home from riga on the friday afternoon straight to perth airport (yes yes, i know…) with the players still in their strips and they run onto the pitch as soon as they get there for the kick off

Sounds good. Hopefully, we’ll be playing St Johnstone on the Sunday.

You are damn tooting LazyDynamite, & what’s even more funnier, is the Zombies believe the p*sh that

the impression that their beloved Favourites, is going to win everything, aye in their Dreams.

  10. Mc Kenna takes some slagging on here ,what I see our defence lately haven’t been world beaters,so lay off the Bhoy McKenna ,wish him luck with his new Club.and hopefully Celtic get there finger out and signed a couple off good defenders sooner rather than later

Hanlon was a definite yellow, caught Hagi on the chops with his elbow.

    —————————–

Disagree. I thought it excellent play by Hanlon. The contact with Hag’s face was minimal and accidental.

  12. 19/7 > 20/8.

    That’s a mathematical FACT.

None of the supporters of the deid team calling for the league to be stopped I guess.

  13. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

Thought both Hibs and The Rangers played well in spells today – certainly well enough to give our less than perfect defensive arrangements some real trouble. We are kidding ourselves if we think otherwise. The three at the back looks wide open to the wide ball over the top – particularly given the lack of midfield cover, and wee Taylor being asked to play so high up the park. Even in games where we have scored a few, we are giving far too many chances away.

I’m usually a glass-half-full person but, as things stand, I’m not confident. We have had a relatively easy run of games, and taken most if the points on offer, but I worry we are covering a bit of a glass-jaw. We need an improvement in shape and structure primarilly. For example – Boyle vs Ajer next week may expose one of our weaknesses, as build up to the Livi penalty did yesterday. I’m sure Ross is a good enough tactician to spot the opportunities the shape/personnel provide.

Lots of improvements to make – hope we can really tighten up defence/defensive midfield. Young McGinn showed value of a midfielder helping his defence with two or three goal-saving interventions today – working cohesively with his defence.

Andy Halliday is everywhere just now, open goal with Si Ferry, SSB, Sportsound, Off the Ball now Sportscene … he is actually better in the media than on a fitba Park … and probably more complimentary about Celtic than some Celtic fans

  15. Ziggydoc1, yeah we should be playing St Johnstone on the 4/10/20, providing there is no repeat

horror show, like our last outing in Europe. Anyway we all know, that there are mainly no easy

matches, in said European competitions apart from the exceptional one or two Clubs. However

& We all know, that our main Focus this year is not on European Competitions.

  16. St Stivs/Bankiebhoy1

BBC Shortie think it was a tactical master class allowing the underdogs an opportunity to get a point; the best football players and club in the world AND philanthropists extraordinaire! But Timmy be very afraid as the world’s best coach is lulling you into a false sense of security and will pounce when they play Celtic in a few weeks!

Best coach/players/stadium in the world bar none FACT!

I might have paraphrased a bit but you get the drift…..

    Well done The Hibs.

I had Two Correct score bets on…

    Happy with my 18/1 winner.

    Nice

    had a three way multi ross county @4to1, Celtic 3-2 @ 26 to1, and hibbees @ 7 to 1

    bet $4 @ $728 = $2912 lol it was a long day today lol

more butterflies than when the good guys play the Zombies, they havnt scared me for a looonnng time. could have cashed in this morning for 300 hundred odd, thought about it maybe would have guaranteed a hibbees win lol. could have cashed in at 45 minutes for $$800. 1 minute later that boat had sailed. sai la vie

Celtic win, them scoreing first 3-2 was pretty much a worst case scenario pretty much what actually happened. funney thing was when the score hit 3-2 for the last ten minutes I still wanted Celtic to get another goal. bugger the punt.

    XXXXX XXXXX ALL THAT MATTERS

may your gods bess NL, the Celtic Jersey and all who sail in them.

P.S. stopped watching them when they equalized would probably cashed out if it hit a RIo

( why does’ bugger the punt’ remind me of Morelos )

Cannot agree with you extremely pessimistic view of our fixtures.

Truth is that our league has a similar standard from 3rd place to bottom.

Fixtures and difficulty there of is completely over-stated.

If we turn up we win every most of the time against anyone home or away.

If we don’t we generally win anyway but are liable to throw in some drop points or a rare defeat regardless if it is away to hibs or home to livingston.

    Good Morning CQN

    What a read back, Jeezo!!

A quite brilliant summary of the same by Melbourne Mick made me laugh out loud!

Back to yesterday, another 3 points in the bag but yet another Jekyll and Hyde performance.

I’m neither a happy clapper or a panty wetter but a realist and we do not look like a well coached or tactically aware side. When your midfield watches average players pass around them unchallenged and no one moves to try and close down a shot then the basics aren’t even right. Add to that the lack of consistent formation, team selection and strategy for substitutions/game management then there is clearly a problem. Managing the captain’s appearances is part of that and playing him yesterday was not necessary or beneficial. Playing him against the Huns however may be essential both for his experience, dig and the fact he intimidates and winds them up in equal measure. Desperately need a quality left back with GT as back up only and ffs please spend time on the training ground on set pieces for and against us and retaining possession from throw ins. Plenty to work on but if we can get the right formation and tactics, particularly our shape and pressing when we don’t have the ball, then we have the players who could really start to blow our domestic opponents away. A lot to look forward to with this squad of players but the manager and coaches really must earn their corn and sort out the basics.

All in all it’s great to be sitting top of the league when we’re really not playing that well and it’s so important to just keep getting 3 points however they come just now as who knows when off the field matters will cut short the season. As we saw again yesterday we will get no help from the powers that be so we have to take matters into our own hands and not relent!

Onwards and upwards Bhoys and Ghirls, HWG10IAR!

I read your post last weekend about “sky poker” a few mates had already textd me … I take it you have a Skybet account … go into “promotions” put as little as 5p on the Chelsea v Liverpool game and you automatically get a £5 free bet to use on any other sport .. make sure you “opt in” by the way you can actually cash out your 5p and still get the free bet :-) Any other “skybet” punters get your free bet before 4.30pm

  22. imo too much emphasis is put on sport science and not enough on the coaching/training/tactics that are the main requirements.

  23. FeedTheBhear (The Big Yogi Chant) He Is Here, He Is There, He Is Every ‘F’ Where, Feed The Bear/Feed The Bear.

Hardly a games passes where Ajer or Jullien aren’t crying to the ref about something or other instead of dealing with it themselves. I’d take McKenna.

Bhear, McKenna is not a bad player, however he is not a great Defender either. You are right, we need to strengthen our Defence, that is blatantly obvious for all to see. We can get away with playing makeshift

Ajer @ the back, & sometimes too casual C. Jullien as well, in The Hammer Throwers League aka the SPFL

Premier League. However when it comes to European Matches, that is a different kettle of Fish.

As for same two players, having a moan @ the Refs in Scotland. Well some of their decision making, leaves a lot to be desired, by the “Honest Mistakes Mob” that is for sure. I don’t think KT will nowadays, will not be losing much sleep, having not to play under their guidance/so called protection.

  24. RC

imo too much emphasis is put on sport science and not enough on the coaching/training/tactics that are the main requirements.

Yeah RC, & What happend to close ball control, & dribbling skills, & working the space, to swing in decent crosses. FFS, what are they doing in Training nowadays, apart from running around, passing the ball, & taking shots. & Also, modern day players, should be learning how to play & shoot the ball, with both feet, not just one.

Arrr, what are these guys getting paid for?

  25. Many happy returns to wee Henke, who is 49 years of age today.

I hope he has a great day, & new week ahead young Man, Enjoy.

    LAZYDINAMITE.

Hi pal – don’t really think I was being extremely pessimistic – just saying that I though that have had a relatively easy run of games other than Killie away (draw) – so no Aberdeen way, Hibs away, The Rangers away type-of-games.

Fair enough if you don’t agree but I don’t think my view was particulaly extreme.

My point really is about the number of chances we are giving up – chances not taken by Hamilton, Livi and Ross County; however, I’d worry that better teams – in Europe and domestically – will exploit these.

If these Club’s you mention all finish in the top six after the so called split Sevco Away, The Sheep

Away & Also Hibs Away, which are all tricky fixtures, will no doubt come our way, after the so called

Split, so what goes around, also comes around as well. Also, if you look @ the SPL fixtures accordingly

We will have to play that same run of matches, in that same order, come the first half of next Season,

that is for sure, that is how both Clubs (The Bhoys & Sevco’s) fixtures each Season pan out.
