  1. FAVOURITE UNCLE on

Hibs winger Martin Boyle is booked for simulation as he runs into the back of Connor Goldson and topples over. A bit harsh maybe since he didn’t appear to be claiming anything.

Remember aiden mc diving out the way of a lunging tackle on the half way line.2nd yellow and yir aff and PETER sat in stand and thought about his CHRISTMAS bonus.

Roy Keane is a strong character – everyone said that because of his undoubted talent, will to win & leadership at Man Utd, he was a top manager in the making.

For whatever reason that has not worked out up till now. He will retain all his qualities and has had experience of football management in different capacities. A more mature Roy Keane may be just what we need.

Gerrard had only a fraction of Roy’s experience when appointed at Ibrox & he has toppled Celtic, although we have been the masters of our own downfall.

After the season we have had, we need someone who will make demands of players in the squad. We have been badly let down this season by the squad & coaches.

We are not going to attract another ‘Brendan Rodgers’ at this moment in time.

So is Keane any more of a risk than a guy from a small provincial club who ‘punched above their weight’ in the EPL for a few seasons?

  3. still think we should get nisbett from Hibs and give them LG as part of the deal , Hibs young full back could be a shout as well maybe offer them AR , they can keep their goalie.

  4. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Just finished watching the Finding Jack Charlton documentary.

    Terrific.

The sports documentary done well is becoming a rarer beast.

    I’d wholeheartedly recommend this one.

Think it is still available on iPlayer.

    Hail hail

    What makes us social beings?

    What is free speech?

Well perhaps this quote, sometimes attributed to Voltaire, may provide an answer.

“I may disapprove of what you say, but I will defend your right to say it”

    not so sure

both the maradona and senna documentaries in the last few years were terrific

cant see the upcoming shane duffy documentary being up to much though!

Many thanks for giving us the highlights of the 1965 Celtic v Dunfermline

    Final.

As a Donegal man, I still get goose bumps all over again remembering standing in the Hampden enclosure and watching our countryman Charlie Gallagher’s corner meeting Big Billy’s head and into the net. We we had fuinally won the Cup after 11 years of heartache!

I have had many great Celtic moments before and since but I can honestly say that goal is up there with the very best!

    Hail! Hail!

  10. Will the public inquiry into the COVID pandemic be led by a truly independent man/woman or body?

With what I already know of how this panned out I’d be pretty surprised if that was the case, does anyone know how this would be determined? por cierto.

  14. FAVOURITE UNCLE on

Connor Goldson is up for a free kick but he gets the timing wrong, looping a header over the top. The Rangers defender then gets in a tangle with Paul Hanlon and aggressively slams the Hibs captain to the floor. There’s a bit of scuffling but it’s a classic case of ‘handbags’.

You certainly conform to the stereotype of the nat cult member in being intolerant and authoritarian.

Doesn’t augur well for the brave new world you would try to create should your ambitions ever be realised.

    ==============================

    thank you my unionist friend.

glad to be hammering your unionist/civilizing

nerve if i am conforming to a unionist stereotype, never mind whatever is deemed left within that union stereotype.

intolerance and authoritarian- i always look for the iraqi definition of that.the poor intolerant bastards asking why they were blown apart/maimed/killed as a result of new/old labour authoritarian cult/regime dictats.your defending the right wing guised as helping the poor weak and needy.soz mate ‘socialists’ like you are as see through as a pain of glass.

Does it auger well for the fascism emanating from westminster

.loving the fear and what if nonsense, all experienced growing up in your union but is goin .to result in doom i tell ye if we leave your union.pity broon miscalculated credit

boom and did not curtail any banking law well not until their debt was placed on the poor under austerity.

so keep up with your ‘othering’ of those who dissent your union, being a first gen scot of irish origin we have 800 years experience of the rancid union and its chatels like you.

  16. Looking at West Ham’s remaining fixtures, it would be a brave man who would bet against them staying in the top four – well done David Moyes and……..oh what might have been!

  17. AN TEARMANN on 11TH APRIL 2021 4:23 PM

Your world is a very simple one, isn’t it?

I can see why you would flock to the nationalist’s banner.

  18. I reckon if An Tearmann and Ernie Lynch had a few sherberts Together there would be more of an uproar, especially when watching The Leather Belts.

    ROAR

    C’mon the Magical Celts.

Win Lose or Draw I know but we have been systematically wronged.

  20. Ernie

Cant help it my unionist friend

infer imply and augment whichever stereotype you wish. it fails on 2 counts.

    a.its a unionist stereotype

b.its from a socialist only necessitating union as a way to reach power.without union no power.

ah the damage the war crim done eh

and no its an independence/smash the union /those fake socialist will betray you type simplistic reaction if you wish to know.

  22. Quonno

You didn’t – I thought ( wrongly as it seems) that you were suggesting independence was a way to a republic.

    So apologies

  23. Those two gentlemen can smell a pro indy tim from mile away they have super powers 😀

  24. Yesterday’s biggest win and our best performance of the season I reckon.

I also noticed pre match that the Celtic tv members also chatted openly about the next potential manager quite freely.

Big Cup game next week to save the season for us our own JF taken off as a precaution thankfully he has been sorely missed this season.

A big week ahead for Celtic.

  25. Hibs cheated out of a point. They’ve already won the league anyway. The referees just can’t help themselves, hard to break a habit of a lifetime
