    From 2 penalties. He’d never taken a penalty in his 8 year career before the two he’d taken this year. GG scored 9 out of 10 last season

    What exactly does a head of security do ?

     

    On a match day, do they run the Polis or just work with them ?

     

    Who then is responsible for some of the crushes outside CP before/after games ?

     

    What feckin use are they when normal fans are gettin attacked in the Gallowgate by known Hooligan Ultras ?

     

    Do they just need a good telephone manner and hotline to Parks of Hamilton and the big polis on the motorbikes who have been out joyriding on the M8 the past few days ?

     

    If its Euro away trips just get that we guy Brendan from Coach trip !!

    At present our right back and right winger is Ralston

     

    Ange keep playing Abada and we will drop more points , no coincidence that moment Abada was dropped and we went 11 players , we started to win

    For many years I have supported Celtic – my support, like the vast majority, is unconditional. I have had issues with board members, managers and players over the years, but I have never looked to wilfully punish the club.

     

     

    The Clearasil Commandos in the GB have nothing in common with me, or, the overwhelming body of our support – knee-jerk political tripe is sum & substance.

    Didn’t get to see the game today but heard the howls of anguish.

     

     

    All the more difficult to take as we were at home / against our bogey team / Ludge MIB seemingly played a blinder — MotM performance.

     

     

    Most positive thing — reality check after Wednesday.

     

     

    That was not a good performance but a collection of good moves / episodes of quality football by a team with a glass jaw and a lacking a bit of focus and a killer instinct.

     

     

    Squad is paper thin and injuries will hurt us.

     

    The MIB know this and are playing the attrition game.

     

    Money desperately needs to be spent in Jan to bulk up the squad.

     

     

    Have been critical of DT still playing as if he was playing for M/well.

     

    However — from stories about today’s game — he is struggling to deal with the way we get treated by the opposition and the MIB. Seemingly Livi man marked him the whole game and his opposite number pushed / shoved / blocked / kicked him at every turn. He needs help from more experienced players in the team to learn how to cope with this playing style.

     

     

    His M/well game of drifting in and out of the game with a class finish when he finds himself with a chance is a million miles away from the game he now faces — much more of the ball / greater focus by the opposition players / greater expectations and scrutiny / more physical intimidation.

     

     

    The MF is not set up to help him and I fear his confidence could suffer.

     

    The help should also extend to the coaching staff.

     

    Plus a more high energy defensive pivot.

     

     

    CMcG — not got it / never will. have it.

     

    NB — Currently Mogadon Man.

     

     

    Work to be done.

    AP — has done well in a short time.

     

    He has given us a new style of play with more energy.

     

    He has worked on our conditioning and fitness.

     

    He has managed to get us to play out from the back.

     

     

    However there is still a huge amount to do — crossing / throw-ins / corners / free kicks / penalties.

     

    Some of our basic play is shocking to the point of shameful regarding the attitude of too many of the players.

     

    We are as a team very wasteful — we don’t seem to want to make the most of any individual opportunity and work on the basis that is we have the possession another one will be along soon enough.

     

     

    Very sloppy and needs work ASAP.

    I got home in time to see the 2nd half only, so can’t comment on the first 45 mins.

     

     

    But my observations of the second half include…

     

     

    Our midfield 3 showed a complete lack of creativity ; Turnbull & Calmac especially poor. The only positive, forward pass I can remember testing their packed defence was Turnbull’s chip to the back post that Jots had a fresh air swipe at.

     

    Livvie had 11 men behind the ball for the most part, often with all 11 within 30 yds of their goal. This left space at a premium. These are the games were we need quick, one touch defence splitting passes – the type that Rogic can provide. Unfortunately he was unavailable today, and DT & Calmac were guilty of sideways passing far too often. With Bitton as the deeper centre mid, we rely on the other two to create/provide assists. Today they were very poor, though the front 3 have to share the blame, as creators need options ahead of them making the right runs/offering themselves for quick one-twos. This I didn’t see enough of.

     

    Abada hasn’t maintained his early season form and warranted the drop to the bench that he’s had recently. Ange obviously tried to rest Kyogo today (he can’t play his “A” game for 90 mins, every 3/4 days) and I can understand Ange choosing today to rest Kyogo. He’s best running onto a through ball, in space, and shooting with first touch. He was never going to get that against Livvie packed defence, so understandable to keep him in reserve on the bench.

     

    With our centre mids failing to create anything through the middle, we seemed to go through the wide areas for creating chances, but crosses were mainly hit in hope rather than picking out a team mate. Ralston offered himself regularly on the overlap – I never saw Juranovic do like wise.

     

    Having a right footed LB is a hindrance if trying to play with width against packed defences.

     

    Having 85% possession and only 2 shots on target (and only 8 shots in total) tells you all you need to know about our failings today. Constant passing from side to side, and not testing their keeper – shocking to continue the same tactics for 96 mins. That’s on Ange.

     

    Re who should be the penalty taker – I too questioned why Juranovic was not taking it (as soon as it was awarded) but Ange explained that the penalty taker was decided pre-match, and with a 9/10 success rate, I can no longer have an issue with GG taking the penalty. It was simply a shocking penalty miss. Better players than him have missed penalties. It was just poor execution today. Nothing more, nothing less. I had the fear when I saw his short 2 step run up – but if that’s how he scored 9/10 then, again, should not be an issue (if executed well – which it wasn’t today unfortunately).

     

    The pen was a gift, which we didn’t take advantage of. The bigger problem was our general play. Squad quality & depth is still an issue. We needed our creative players to step up today, but Turnbull & Abada showed up ad the young, inconsistent lads that they are. Jota can’t do it alone every game. Johnston came off the bench and did zip (he regularly flatters to deceive imo). Forrest was rusty, as shown with glaring miss at the end when he failed to connect right in front of goal. GG is still bedding in (how many starts has he had?) yet some on here are, inexplicably, ready to dismiss him already as a dud (so called supporters, eh…ha).

     

     

    Remember guys – we are a work in progress. How many of us said at the start of the season that Ange needed time…maybe 2/3 transfer windows…to get the squad that he wants assembled, and playing to his expectations. We knew it was a tall order to remedy last season’s disastrous form. Yet many are now demanding instant success? Chill out guys. Too many knee jerk reactions in here. Yes, we are all passionate fans who want the best. But sometimes it’s best not to jump in straight after every poor game with the hyper-critical posts.

     

    Let’s give the manager and team our support – I think they’d appreciate it & undoubtedly it would help them in the long run.

    Sometimes you do ask yourself am I mad to get that emotional over a football game but you know what I wouldn’t change it for the World.

    We had a Greek tragedy that most on here, and other sites, would have personally drove tae the airport, then one day he breached the gates of hell and scored a double including a penalty, he managed tae miss a penalty on his next visit there but from then onwards he became a Greek Ghod.

     

     

    This big mhan might replicate it.
