  1. Even the Rangers B team got a late penalty today. Difference is, they scored theirs to win 1-0.

If Giamoukakis bitched at Juranovic for taking the last one, he should never get near the responsibility again. I am still dumbfounded of forehead at just how poor and weak his pathetic effort was.

My biggest gripe with the Greek today was the number of crosses coming in where the CB got in front of him rather than him making an effort to get across the CB.

Farcicalโ€ฆโ€ฆ..and btw wats giakoumakisโ€™ purpose????? Totally dire.

    —————————————–

The strategy was clear enough. Get as many quality crosses into the box against an opponent playing a deep line and Glakoumakis would rise to the occasion.

When it became ovious Giakoumakis was pitifully pish he should have been subbed.

Question marks remain as to why Ange didn’t keep the pot boiling from Wednesday night and change it if he had to. He badly overthought today and it could well have cost us the league.

  5. Utter shite!

Hopeless no. 7 takes our get off jail penalty.

The worst penalty you’re likely to see.

He,like many, did fuck all the whole game.

No surprise that he flunked it.

    Think Cifti.

  6. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

81 crosses? How many were cut out by the first man or straight down the keeperโ€™s throat?

  7. glendalystonsils on

The shirt doesn’t shrink to fit inferior players , particularly the iconic number 7 one .

  8. Park the bus > blootir it > simple on

    Blootir it….

    Gooooaaaalll.

    Or,

    Tippy tappy tippy tappy

    and start again ?

Ange is looking like one the haunted Celtic managerial idealists from the early 1990’s.

  9. Ange has said that it was his call, Giokumakis is on penalties if he is on the park, when Juranovic scored the last 2 he wasnt so that’s why he took them, need to change that Ange to someone who can strike a ball, he also thought the boos were for somethng else not the team , wonder what he meant as Jane Lewis was fishing but didnt get a bite, much to her annoyance and her rapidly increasing rate of speech.

  10. hard day at the office, forwards all played badly, lot of huff and puff but no edge. pressure was on the team i expect they learnt a good hard lesson. Bitton played well, played even better in the second half but some will refuse to see it. Biton is no Tom Rogic but then again sometimes Rogic isnt Rogic. not a good result, very sore one . But the team have come a long way in a short time.

    peace

  11. Didn’t see that coming? – and yes we were paying attention.

Astonishing game in Parkhead where the ending beggared belief and Celtic contrived to miss the SFA’s opportunity to say ‘ these things even themselves out ‘ Overhead kick specialist Giakoumakis missed a penalty, and worst still managed to miss much worser a minute later. Celtic were lethargic from the K.O. and IMO the idiotic GB denial of their valuable support for the team contributed to a stale but staunch Boaby Madhun, punctuated goal threatless first half.

One creative down, and not Nir Bitton’s fault he’s last man standing in midfield, but the paucity of ‘the rebuild’ is laid bare with every passing hamstring, surely there is a running creative midfielder at Lennoxtown able to step up ? Apparently not and as a consequence is that Tony Ralston was it, on the right and on the left Juranovic clearly doesn’t want to reach the final third, on his wrong foot.

Livingston overall showed that a Wattenachio is all you nee for a point, and the side we have at present won’t be nearly enough to win an already assisted League, shame that when Carl Starfelt finally managed a clean pass back he was fast off the mark to signalhis professionalism with โ€œ hammy, I’m out of here โ€œ. Celtic missed supersub come superstar Tom Rogic in AP’s side and its no wonder the internet sites rumour jam in January.

The end to a rebuild week in the life of Celtic, where direction gets further and further in the distance away from rank and file support and manifests itself on the field as Philosophy 0 โ€“ Tony Macaroni 0

Ange is an experienced manager but today was a sign that he is still on the start of a steep learning curve regarding the Celtic job .

Maybe no bad thing to keep our feet on the ground re the transformational ‘Angeball’ . Especially when we still don’t have the squad to properly implement it .

  13. well played Livvy…thats wit they do and its a frustrating watch ..still anither point …16 from the last 18..

we will win the league and with a bit to spare ….

smiley in german the remedy for frustration is “holen eine runter” thing

    have fun

    Braw

  14. We played well. Not scintillating but well. Livingston defended well. Better than our attacking.

Iโ€™m going to criticise the ref. Again.

After all the fouls he didnโ€™t give I was surprised he gave the penalty. I was equally surprised he didnโ€™t give one against us when Hart clattered their player without getting the ball.

Perhaps that just highlights how bad he is.

  15. CC

It is hugely difficult for good players to break down 11 behind the ball you need to use pace and get to the bye lines, a CF who has hardly started a game is going to struggle against that, however the call to have him on penalties is the wrong call, Juranovic stuck one in the top corner in Betis and the bottom right in his next , but we tinker and F..k it up , thats on the manager and if he wants to get something off his chest about why the crowd were booing voice it, dont go round in circles or squares like the team today, hope they know what is at stake winning home games is essential and showboating is out until you are comfortable in a game not 0.0 and in injury time.

  16. Our manager has just said it was his decision to put Giakoumakis on penalties. He was designed taker today.

  17. I have never played in a team where someone is not on the penalties and you

only go off if you miss. We are not taking this seriously enough and are

unproffesional. If I was the manager I would have been on the park stopping

    him taking the penalty

  18. NEUSTADT-BRAW, we would still have had a hope of winning the league if Ange had admitted he got it badly wrong today. His post match comments have confirmed he’s a loser.

As for your remedy…..it going to take more than one ;-) Ave Ave

  19. Add the 5 dropped points against Livy and we are clear with a cushion…desperately disappointing

  20. Markiebhoy, Ange confirmed post match today’s Greek tragedy Giorgios is the designated penalty taker. Ange is a loser.

  21. SuperSutton on 30th October 2021 5:35 pm

We played well. Not scintillating but well. Livingston defended well. Better than our attacking.

    ————–

Nah, you don’t have, what. 2 shots on target at home to Livi and think we played well.

Livi manager and players would’ve been lapping it up today, we played exactly how they hoped we’d play. Side side side side.

  22. Anyone think we can win league after that?

It’s like 90s deja vu where sevco screw up then we screw up worser.

I hate Greeks playing for celtic, they are sevco legends ffs!

Absolutely dreadful tactics today, same as last livi. They even told Ange what they would do, went out and did it. Ange played right into their hands. 85% possession, 1 on target, don’t count the pen. 81 crosses in 2 games, nรณ goals. Ange will probably do the same thing next time he plays livi. BTW I hate his press conferences. Does he not know smsm will have the last and biggest laugh if they win the league and the champions league ยฃ.

  23. FFSโ€ฆ.on another day we score 3โ€ฆand collect the 3 pointsโ€ฆ.letโ€™s keep on getting behind the teamโ€ฆ.a few fan(ny)s on here spouting absolute pishโ€ฆ.obviously trollsโ€ฆ

  24. At least we don’t have to play Livi again for a while. I’m sure we’ll beat them next time, if not then maybe the time after that :O)

  25. GG converted 9 out of 10 penalties last season.

Bit early to write him off Iโ€™d say.

Weโ€™ll still win the league but anyone thinking it would be or should be straightforward hasnโ€™t been watching Scottish football closely enough

The perennial problem that every Celtic manager has faced will cause us to drop more points this season, but Ange will need to learn other ways of getting past the bus
