In my opinion, that kind of attitude is dangerous and has resulted in the gradual, possibly managed, decline we’re witnessing.

A bit of self reflection required from Celts. On and off the pitch
Leaving aside the criminal negligence of how the penalty was handled/ taken , anyone could have predicted livi would play the way they did – ie at least 10 men behind the ball, 11 most of the time.
They knew exactly how we would play – ie side to side across the 20 or 25 yard line hoping to get a ball in from wide.
What I don’t understand is why , in the absence of TR who can break the line with skill and the quickness of his feet , doesn’t someone at least run at the defence at speed and or at angles?
Okay – most of the time we risk losing the ball but with 10 of their players at least behind the ball well pick up the second ball but on those times we don’t lose the ball we might break through their line or be fouled to provide a chance through a penalty or at least a free kick near the box.
We kept doing the same things with the same result. Even when we changed players we still did the same things , just with different personnel.
October’s beeen a great month and if we can repeat that month on month we will win the league but today was a chance lost and it was , plainly and simply, our fault.

Every poor performance from us should result in questions asked of the players and manager, it’s the only way the improve. You don’t shrug your shoulders and say never mind, next time.
We’ve have just as many poor performances as good, and I’d argue most of our good performances have been parts of games rather than full 90 mins.
Bit of a bogey team for us.
Hopefully Livi defend like that when the Hun visit the Plastic Macaroni and take a point/s.

Yep, we love taken 10 passes to get from our half to the edge of the Livi box, then 1 pass back to the half way line and start again.
I can understand thats the way we will play, but you do that for 10-20 mins then you mix it up for 10-20 and repeat.
The difference in set up between Livi and Hibs, if I was a Hibs fans you’d have to ask questions of Ross.

My response was to someone who suggested this was just a bad day at the office, when it seems clear that isn’t the case when it comes to Livi. 9 times out of 10 we should beat them, yet who’s confident that we’ll win next time??

Keepers are required to stay on the line when a penalty is taken – WHY? – because coming off reduces the angle. The same seems to be true if the kicker only takes a couple of small steps back.

If teams go toe to toe with us we do a lot better,
When teams sit in & rely on a break or a set piece we struggle if we don’t get an early goal.
It is a sickener & the missed Penalty compounded the disappointment.

Now he is young and may improve but he shouldn’t be starting games on his present form.
I was hoping for a draw tomorrow at Fir Park but our result will give the Huns a lift, I now expect them to take the 3pts.
4pts back with 26 games left is nothing with 2 of remaining 3 Derbies at Celtic Park, we need to get back on the horse & bring in a bit of quality in January.
I’m always confident that we should beat Livingston…every time home and away…we’ve had better Celtic teams in the past not beating them…
Rogic’s inventiveness was missed today.

You’re right and if you look at the attacking stats at Livi we were better
than we were today. The worry is we aren’t learning and it looked like
last season today.

A frustrating end to the month but 5 wins and a draw from 6 games in October is signs of real progress. Not the first time we’ve been neutered by someone like livi at hone and not the last
I don’t think we’ll win during the week, and there will be the usual drama, but the break, a rest fir some key players and the return of others will help continue our good form

that’s was dire today, far to many across the park and backward passing along half way line , playing into thems hands and doing nothing for us, no way they were going to come out to press us on half way line , so why persist with this tactic , total waste of time.
time wasting is going to kill the game , need to have someone with a stopwatch and only recored the time when the ball is in play.
poor subs today from ange , why change both wingers (goal scores) with 2 other wingers, when the only sub needed was our unfit lump of a big greek striker.
Starfelt was informing the bench he had to come off at least 10 to 15 mins before he pulled up, bad management as welsh was told to warm up when starfelt let them know.

There are those who would like to drive the GB out of CP, and the proposed appointment of Higgins suggests they may be going on the offensive.
If they achieve their goal then every game would be like that 30 minutes.
Just like it was before the GB appeared.
Agree this 30 minutes silence for a as yet approved appointment, was nonsensical. No atmosphere last season cost us, who ever thought this one up needs his arse kicked.
Apart from tossing a coin a team captain is meant to display inspiration, guidance and motivation.
I did not detect any of these qualities today.

The Kano Foundation kids were singing during the first 30 minutes. Not very loudly, admittedly, but I was at the opposite end of the stadium.
GREENPINATA, McGregor is a good club captain fine but never a team captain. First fatal mistake of the Ange era, not the last. He wont correct it. Hart should be team captain. This season has no room for passengers but Ange is sitting alongside unfortunately.

Didn’t say it was new. Previously commented that it is almost universal for NBA players, who of course play indoors. None of our players wear them, and we have a terrible record of hamstring injuries.
I also noticed that Starfelt wanted off well before he pulled up. That is absolutely shocking mismanagement of substitutions. He may be out for weeks due solely to our own incompetence.
