  1. And the outcome was not sufficient to put Celtic top of the table, with Brendan Rodgers’ side behind Hearts on goals scored.

So says the BBC Scotland website match report.

    Hurtin’ hun anyone?

    Thanks for the link.

Loved the game and loved seeing Stan with the fans giving selfies.

What a time to be a Celtic fan. No negatives…..None

  3. Good old day for us, Danny you were world class as always, seventh league flag hoisted, going for an eighth whilst the poison level within our local society has been charged up, which should make it interesting, we have a fair few ££££££’s at our back, so there is no harm in continuing with our shrewd recruitment process, some players might not stick, that happens, the important thing is that the manager deploys his resources at his disposal, shrewdly, my only worry is that, he could do with a more cynical edge to his defensive department on the European stage. Hope Ollie is ok, his loss could leave us exposed, and put unfair pressure on Broony.

All in all, a grand day for the Celts.

Meanwhile, off the pitch, I hope that Celtic announce that, no Celtic fan will be allowed to attend ‘any’ old firm game, home or away, as Celtic FC didn’t want to risk the fans safety. Why not?

    ‘Old firm…’ ?

    ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

    Yeah, old firm.

Celtic Supporter’s paid £49 for tickets, so, imho, that makes it an old firm game.

  5. just back from Vale Park after 3-0 home win (won away on our opening game last season so not getting carried away)

thanks to everyone for the updates

A bit of a training session really, never in any doubt, played some really good stuff, not easy against two banks of four, we did what was needed.

  7. Very good performance for 60 minutes, dropped off once the subs were made and fell asleep for the last 5 mins. Starting 11, with the exception of KT for Hayes, will start on Wedneaday(if Oli is fit). The worry would be Simunovic on the left of a three, doesn’t look comfortable there.

Rogic was a joy to watch and it’ll be the triumvate of him, Eddy and CalMac that will open up AEK on Wednesday.

Good performance up till about 70 minutes. We seemed to turn off and become sloppy last 20 mins. Tom Rogic was magical. Big Mik had a great game too.

    Bring on the AEK.

  9. We were excellent at times today.

Livingston were quite Hamilton or Thistle like. Though not the same thugs that booted Dundee United off the pitch to get promotion.

    Some really slick play.

And some real hot talent @ the Corner

Daniel Fergus looking magnificent and Stan the Man looking wonderfully healthy.

Very much so – he set up a homeless centre in the area and writes a column in the local paper the sentinel. Think he also works on MUTV

  11. been having trouble loading pages all day. just turned the adblocker off and its perfect.

There is no ‘Old Firm….’, doesn’t matter if it’s £4.90 or £49 for me

As it happens my son in law is a Stoke SB holder with his dad who is away next week so i’m visiting the dark side for their game against Brentford

  14. Anyway – shower, shave shampoo – off to evening wedding do.

Better get some clothes on as well

  15. great first half a treat to watch , good passing and movement even ML who i have slated in the past played well and got forward he nearly scored what would have been a spectacular goal.

downside thought that our players subbed could have been thought out better with the game on wed in mind, also disappointed not to see that GC and EK could not make even the bench , slack defensive play at the end lost us a goal we have got to concentrate until final whistle.

You do know Brendan can only make 3 substitutions? :-)

Seriously, all the subs made perfect sense to me.

Johnny Hayes returning from a long injury, Tom still finding full fitness after his holidays and Eddy our only match fit striker.

Aye, well, thats up to you fella.

  19. Young Johnston and JF both seemed unsure of who was to go where when the substitution was made.

Maybe it should have been a like for like replacement or they could have gone on opposite sides.

Our shape became a little unbalanced after last sub.

I thought again Nt’cham was our main man and linked our play creatively.

When Edourd peels wide would also like to see McGregor or Rogic attack the space he vacated quicker.

Some good flowing football today and with a few tweaks we can convert more of chances we created.

  20. Enjoyed the game today, the passing and movement was excellent. Good to see the wee Dub getting game time & others returning to the fold . None more so than Tom Rogic.

Happiness doesn’t come close to the elation I felt when he signed a new contract. A special player.

Only down side was backing Celtic-2 :-(((

Roll on Wednesday, big concern whether Nicham is fit . Having McGinn would have helped but hey ho , lets get a win .

Sadly not. Being made captain this season, it looks like he led by example today. Think he has only scored once before. He is prolific as his coach at Celtic, Danny McGrain was. Great day for them both.
