We were rubbish tonight apart for a ten minute spell in the second half. Tonight was the culmination of the mistakes of last year’s qualification not being heeded.

I had tens of test tonight from people who took their sons and daughters. All distraught. My own daughter texted m to tell me how awful celtic are. She is 11. Well don PL. Way to go pal. What vision. What strategy?

I know emotions are pretty high but let’s get some perspective back.
How can it be 100% of the managers fault!?
If the guy has had 1-2 years with the squad perhaps – he’s had 10 weeks.
If it was the guys squad – he influenced 1 player being at the club out of 14.
If the guy has had money to spend – he’s the first Celtic manager since who, Jock Stein (?) who hasn’t been given a single penny to spend in his first 10 weeks.
The guy publicly said he didn’t want loan signings, someone has given him loan signings.
He has publicly said we need a striker since the day he arrived, more recently admitting its a target man, he’s been given nothing.
Allegedly he’s said Griffifths is our best striker, in what is surely a ‘you have to be effing kidding me!!’ Type comment.
The guy has even had to deal with a total and utter shambolic scheduling of per season friendlies, the postponement of a home league game and vital match fitness due to non footballing reasons.
Our previous manager, when told of the nonsense being planned above and who loves Celtic as deeply as every man on here tonight walked out of the club because he wasn’t willing to accept it.
There is a consistent within all the above.
The consistent is Peter Lawwell.
He can stick his ‘we can’t afford to play EPL wages’ repeated statement up his jacksy – we’ve played against 2 foreign teams with a player or 2 who could improve us and wouldn’t fist more than a few million and modest wages.
I’m fed up being patronised and spoon fed propaganda that insinuates for every player we enquire about, there’s an EPL club on the other line, in a world full of football clubs and players and less than 100 inward transfers from overseas to the EPL – a significant number of those we must certainly wouldn’t have spent the cost of the phone call on (20m+ transfer fees)
However, how much of it is Lawwell and how much of it is Desmond?
Personally I think it’s Lawwell, whose ultra smooth and swarve business charms gets a seal of approval from his pay master.

Ronin, did you TUPE over to Sevco when Rangers were put into liquidation:-)
We lost a game not a club.
To clarify for you TUPE happens when a club gets liquidated, employees can TUPE over to the company that has bought the assests of the defunct Club/company.
It’s part of employment Law.
To clarify that further for you…….
Law, the rules by which civilised societies abide.
Employment is when you do something useful and someone gives you money.
I thought I should add those definitions for you, I doubt you’ve come across them previously.

Tomorrow many will return to talking about a club that replaced a club that no longer exists and will be happy based on their demise. Meanwhile PL’s £10 million (let’s say £4 million take home pay) @ 4% will earn £258.63 net interest every 24 hours.

That will become the accepted version until next summer, minus VVD we get pumped again in the CL qualifiers.

There was no heart in that Celtic team tonight. A NL selection would have known what to do and seen Maribor off comfortably. There was no shape, no plan, and especially, no playmaker.
Charlie Mulgrew has done as much as he can do for Celtic. Punt him. Derk, Pukki, Stokes, Efe, Izzy,
Take the money for VVD, Commons, and whoever else can be punted. I said Celtic won a watch with Craig Gordon and he showed that tonight.
We keep Lustig, Matthews, Kayal, McGregor, and put the rest on their best behaviour.

Well I’m in a wee west end hostelry. Need to head home soonish…..gutted by that performance…..don’t really know where to start on what is not right. I don’t think our new manager should be hung out to dry though. Neil Lennon left so abruptly and the new guy has had to work with what so clearly is not good enough. No real strikers is no real strikers in my book.
The other reason for my post is that I was gutted by the mind set of one our fellow supporters who unhappy with one our defence started to talk about climbing trees and eating bananas.
Please please please! We are better than this. Don’t tolerate this!
Football is important escapism. It is not the be all and end all.

Have to get this off my chest guys. I had a season ticket from 1988 until 2002. In 2002 I gave up my ticket, partially due to family circumstances and partially due to ‘ fans ‘ around me shouting abuse at Celtic players and getting into confrontations with these ‘ fans ‘. I renewed my ticket in 2011 but re-allocated. Tonight I faced the same problem. So called supporters, calling Celtic players ‘ useless b******* ‘ and worse. Confrontation again with no resolution. ST bought but thinking of just giving up.
