Newspaper editors around the country will be rubbing their hands with glee about this game. Much more so than the last time. They will talk it up and up, filling the back pages with ‘old firm’ garbage for the next 5 weeks.
Rolling out the old ex-players for their (in my opinion) worthless views on the ‘clash-of-the-century’. Old firm-old firm-old firm-repeat-repeat-repeat ad nauseam. Pat Bonner, BFDJ, Andy Walker, Derek Ferguson etc, etc.
Keevins will be drooling, forecasting red cards galore and world war 3……When do Virgin begin their flights to the moon?

If you are looking in our ex players Bonner etc are amongst the worst in voicing the “Old Firm” line without it actually being asked for, he has also said sevco are a great club, he makes not attempt to distinguish between the two entities of the liquidated RFC and Sevco, maybe he like Sutton needs the money

I’ve seen what you have seen and can’t be sure collum never saw it, but know where you are coming from. I know there was a player in between, but he’d have needed to be huge to totally block collum’s view; check how fast he turns away. The main stand linesman, however, wasn’t blindsided (he was below me) and has radio communication with the referee.
Just saw Murdo Macleod’s interview on Sky News. You can just imagine the pre interview briefing. “Right Murdo, talk up the ‘Old Firm’, talk about how well matched the teams are, talk up ‘Rangers’ chances of winning the cup. We want to build as big an audience for this as possible. We don’t want the truth Murdo, we want commercially valuable propaganda”.
Well Murdo certainly obliged. Hope this 30 pieces of silver choke him.

no question celtic are being cheated by most refs in scotland! re: sevco draw – i’ll let the courts determine their punishment and i hope they have titles stripped during the years they cheated – this for me would represent a clean slate although in this country its unlikely to happen. either way , there is a team wearing blue who will challenge celtic ‘s dominance and access to european treasures. As long as that challenge exists, i will support celtic to defeat them.

Agreed. However winning the prize might not keep RD in a job.
A great performance and win in a cup semi might.
Hail, Hail. To all and especially to those who made the effort today.

Disappointed when I entered the stadium to find such a poor attendance. Enjoyed seeing young Kieran play at his usual high level of performance. Thought that Armstrong played well when he came on, especially as he was given a more central role. Not the greatest fan of McGregor, but I thought he put in a good stint today. Even Johansen did well until that horrendous foul on him.
Like so many supporters on here I will not be going to the semi-final. I respect those who will go, especially the ones who are totally committed to Celtic like HT and others who do so much for the club and others associated with it.

The Celtic board does not force fans to watch Rangers games. Nor do they force fans to read Rangers blogs or to sing traditional Old Firm songs.
