  1. HOT SMOKED on 22ND JANUARY 2023 7:24 PM

I see it as a sign of a growing understanding by our support that JJ`s departure has been accompanied with good wishes. Maybe the fact that Alastair Johnston looks the business helps !

It may do j,but i think long term the change in staff will become more dynamic with profit hopefully reinvested with players still getting Long term contracts to ensure we have the say.it will have implications for youth( terrible structure and route to success here at mo)

Precarious times and we need to be in there.i posted last week bout the transfer spend of the epl being at 300m+,germany,italy and spain were in the £teens m

All leagues now are feeder leagues to the bestest league in world.enjoyed game yest with usual Var stupidity at our first.hope your good

Maybe making the last 16 was the priority and more important than a home tie?

If so, why take the risk of losing the game?

In terms of intelligence, it depends on how you define it. Academic or sporting?

I’d guess most who play at a professional level have the latter, lest they would never be professional.

Having said that, I’m sure there’s an overlap. When I watch rugby and a forward gives away an idiotic penalty I always think “you must be thick as f*8k”.

Seen Snarky Puppy a few years ago in Glasgow, unfortunately Lalah Hathaway was not there.

    Brilliant band, brilliant gig.

    Thanks for the reply.

Good evening all from Paddy Neesons. Dublin on Tuesday, returning Friday. It’s a hard life. You can never have enough good times. 👍

  7. Very dissapointed to see JJ move on.

If we are going to make any impression in the CL next season need better players than we had playing in it this season.

Not convinced that AJ is an upgrade on JJ .

I’ve not seen them live but I’m a fan of snarky puppy, brilliant musicians and great tunes

I’m a long time fan of Lalah Hathaway, loved her Dad as well, Donny.

p.s God bless your Sainted wife .

  14. JJ was a good playerd most weeks, a very good player some weeks and a poor player occasionally. I hope he goes on to have a good career. When you spend 2.5 million on a 26 yea old guy and sell for 10 million 18 months later after he has helped you to win the league its got to be considered a good deal. If we double our initial outlay on GG it is not such a good deal but its far from the worst deal either.

  16. CELTIC are set to complete the £2.5million signing of Oh Hyeon-gyu in the coming days.

The Hoops have agreed terms with the South Korean striker, who has been given the green light to travel to Glasgow.

  17. Just checking (again) that ‘as we speak’ how many players have our nearest rivals signed in order to close the gap “That I (Mr Beale) inherited…” ???

MOTM results out in 10 minutes….

  18. BELMONTBRIAN and CELTIC40ME

We saw Lalah Hathaway live with the Melb Symphony Orchestra last year. A very cool and capable performer.

But her Dad, Donny – simply different class. Tragic reading of how Donny passed away…

Again, The Ghetto is hairs on the back of yer neck stuff. Never tire listening to it:

    Every transfer is a risk.

This one has a bit of extra spice.

    Speculate to accumulate.

AP seems happy to trade JJ for AJ and GG for Oh.

    Let the games begin!

  20. *SENTINEL CELTS PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2022-23*

    RESULTS FROM GAME #32 – CELTIC 5 MORTON 0 (MOOY(2), KYOGO(2), TURNBULL)

    Good evening, friends.

Morton started the game positively and it looked as though it might be one of those days. And then came that ridiculous VAR decision in our favour. I really wish that Mooy had deliberately missed the resultant penalty. I don’t think it would have changed the outcome. But hey ho, we moved up the gears from that moment and ran out very convincing winners.

Most of our best play came in the first half and that’s reflected in the votes where 2 of our top 3 were subbed at half time!

Domestically we have now played 26, winning 24, drawing 1 and losing just 1. We have scored 88 and conceded 18.

As for the voting, my thanks to the 69 who emailed me with their 3 nominations. The total votes cast for each player with my own choices asterisked are as follows –

    Hart: 1

    Johnston: 10

    Starfelt: 3

    Kobayashi: 8

    Bernabei: 1

    McGregor: 5

    Mooy: 68

    Turnbull: 5

    Abada: 42

    Kyogo: 60

    Maeda: 1

    Subs: Haksabanovic: 1, Iwata: 2, Forrest: 0, O’Riley: 0, Lawal: 0

And so the players receiving POINTS for the game against Morton are –

    Mooy – 5 pts

    Kyogo – 4 pts

    Abada – 3 pts

    Johnston – 2 pts

    Kobayashi – 1 pt

And after 32 games the overall standings are as shown below –

    69 points – Hatate

    47 points – Carter-Vickers

    38 points – Taylor

    37 points – Jota

    33 points – Mooy

29 points – Kyogo and McGregor

    28 points – O’Riley

    26 points – Abada

    22 points – Jenz

    18 points – Maeda

    15 points – Haksabanovic

13 points – Giakoumakis, Juranovic and Starfelt

    10 points – Ralston

9 points – Bernabei and Welsh

8 points – Forrest and Johnston

    7 points – Hart

    5 points – Turnbull

    4 points – Kobayashi

0 points – Abildgaard, Iwata, Lawal, McCarthy, Siegrist and Vata

January has been an interesting and so far successful month and our 6th and final tie is next Sunday when we travel up to face Dundee Utd in a 4.00pm kick off, live on Sky and hopefully elsewhere 😉.

    Hail Hail!

  21. Go tell the Spartim on

    Bada

Rumours he’s already in Glasgow might be a wind up but he’ll be here soon

With regards upgrade on JJ (guy in sky thought the fee was a steal, unsure, considering where he works, if he was being snide ) we won’t know until we see AJ in the champions league, so all those negative nellies will just have to hum and haw until that happens

  22. Ah luv ye Belmont Brian( err yi go:-)))

Ta for tunes.always like the range and variation o your 3.youll not go wrong with either Hathaway, lalah or Donny.

If that had been on up high at Level 8 or deep down in the Sub Club. Dancefloor filler.

I just wondered if the kid heard squealing on the recording mighta been Lalah…
