  1. A point of interest is that today our opponents for Tuesday in the CL lost to the team who are propping up Serie A right now 2-1.

  2. Not the best game I have ever seen :-).

I haven`t read all the previous pages but what I did read was heavily critical of Celtic.

For me, the players gave their all but were not on top form and this was exemplified by lots of poor passing. even so, maybe the way Motherwell set up had something to do with that. On that point, bemoan the Celtic performance all you want but the team most deserving of criticism was wearing claret and amber. They were horrible to watch and were fortunate that we missed some glorious headed chances.

The GB gave our team a rousing welcome with a chorus of F@ ck the Tories.

    It obviously inspired us.

that was directed to rod stewart who replied with the middle finger salute in response and not during the team bus arrival.

  4. Celtic and Lazio face each other in a huge game on Wednesday, we drew and they lost to the bottom of the table team.

Lazio had 2 shots on goal, one a pen that was their goal.

They dont seem to be able to get themselves up for standard Serie A games, its been the story of their season but they’ve performed like a team that finished second in serie A last season in the CL.

We probably shouldnt have, but it wouldn’t be great surprise if everyone, from the manager through to the youngest players had one eye on Wednesday.

Key players just off long flights and benched or taken off early. Another injury or two and the game’s a bogey for Wednesday

The difficult job the Celtic manager faces was never clearer than today. A huge game on Wednesday had to be balanced with the need for 3 points while giving development players meaningful game time. Today was the day for Holm and Yang to get starts, (it was only 2 dvelopment players who started) play it safe against Motherwell at home and we’ll never know.

The new guys are going through a new experience every week – nothing in their football life could her prepared them for getting beaten 6-0, winning 6-0 and then drawing 1-1 and it being like a defeat. Experience will make the guys as Celtic players or they’ll wilt under the pressure but we need to find out.

Early in Ange’s time he threw everyone in at the deep end partly through necessity but partly because he wanted to see who had the mentality to deal with it. We’re still seeing the growing pains of this team, they arent there yet but hopefully games like today will help forge this team into the sort of winners we’ve got so used to.

  5. There might not be many for Jobo`s selections today so to give the mhan some support, here are mine:

    1. Cameron Carter-Vickers;

    2.Liam Scales;

    3.Callum McGregor.

  6. ….and just a wee reminder:

    P W D L F A GD Points

    Celtic: 14 11 3 0 35 8 27 36

    Newco: 12 9 0 3 26 6 20 27.

    `night all.

My Lazio-supporting friend said they were poor

  8. All I saw was the highlights. Lack of clinical finishing (incl a Pen) seemed to undo us.

Was their much debate or furore regarding their keeper Kelly handling the ball outside the box ??

I always thought that was a red card offence ? Was it VARed?

    ‘Mon the Dons.

  9. I read page 1 and had to jump to p. 9, unable to read the comments on all other pages. If I can’t easily read the match day comments beyond p.1 I can’t see if I’m repeating what’s already been said

Whoever made the latest change to CQN that makes it impossible to read each page, is gonna finally kill it off.

It was difficult before but it’s impossible now.

I, for one, am not prepared to jump through browser hoops.

Can someone let me know whenever this gets fixed as I’d like to participate in the blog but it’s not working for me just now.

    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

We are in the perfect position to see that and it should have went to VAR for a potential red card, Aidan said initially that VAR cannae get involved because it wasn’t a possible Penalty but defo a potential Red. No mention on Sportscene when I got hame.

  11. Paul and MODs – fyi I use Mac and have had zero impact to the CQN user experience.

Others are perfectly entitled to have a strop or stomp off if it’s too difficult to use.

The site has had some sporadic glitches but they’re usually temporary and remember, it’s a blog run by a team of well-intended amateurs – which I can easily accept as the service is for free and the company’s tolerable – sometimes ;)

Again, why wasn’t Kelly sent off for handling outside the box as several of us have pointed out?

  12. I think maybe mugabe could have been said to be trying to win the ball v Oh …… maybe just.

Kelly was 100% outside the box. Red card potentially. Not even VAR’d.

  13. Thanks PETEC

    At the gemme…

Did any/many of our players/coach team protest – or meekly suck it up as – ach well – a reffing poor decision?

Do the increasingly irrelevant GB now decide who can support Celtic?

Today was a desperate attempt to stay relevant and it reeks of .attention seeking.

I used to love what they brought to Parkhead, but it’s obviously its now all about them and their politics.

Only my opinion but I now sincerely hope the club does not back down.

Aidan said initially that VAR cannae get involved because it wasn’t a possible Penalty but he, once he’d processed things, thought it could be a potential Red.

I’m scunnered with the game now.

The sooner they introduce a stop clock into the game the better.

    ———

Shite decisions on patently obvious issues like this are part of the greyskullduggery that we face.

Put another way; if Hart had done this v Sevco, what would the official do ?

  17. quadrophenian on 25th November 2023 10:50 pm

    ……………………………………………..

I am not sure, everyone was going berserk at that decision, it was unbelievable that the North Stand linesman never flagged.

BTW – I thought we did play some good stuff Today but they were heavy defensive.

What I have noticed, Joe Hart is not involved in any of our play now – probably explains his madness Today chasing the Ba’ in the box – that was just nuts. Wearing a short sleeved top on a day like Today wisnae bright either (both halves).

  18. lets all do the huddle on

we need to sort our penalty taking situation out.

there is no excuse for a player not running up and skelping towards the corner

now and again it might hit the post or whatever

but that shite from Palma today – when i looked at the length and speed of his run up i happily expected a rattle

but to see that stuttery unhappy ending from a couple of yards away from the ball

time for the manager to step in and tell them to fk off with the 50-50 penalties, and the staggered run ups etc

if you dont think you’re good enough to hit a ball hard towards the corner of the net from 12 yards then stay well away

  19. GreenPinata

The GB reacted to a superfan who decided to openly criticise the fans who did not stay quiet in the minutes silence.

The same superfan who sent best wishes to a complete lying c*nt.

    Take your pick.

  20. 7 point lead squandered …and potential £60M nightmare looming …be honest folks does todays result surprise you ?…and would you be certain we are capable of taking care of the mighty St Johnstone in the next game ? …2 certainties firstly they will win tomo and secondly we are a complete downgrade on last year incapable of breaking mediocre defences down 🤔

  21. BURNLEY78

    Frequently.

However, I like to wake some sleeping supporters to the reality of the dross in our huge squad.

    Assembled by whom?

    And scouted by whom?

    Keep on happy clapping.

  22. lets all do the huddle on

Only my opinion but I now sincerely hope the club does not back down.

i think the GB got too full of their own importance so thought they could do what they liked but still get preferential treatment for tickets which was right, they did.

they knew they could do anything at away games and still know they would get tickets for the next away game

    they didnt appreciate that situation

but the club are to blame for that

they should never have had any more importance than anyone else

its all down to the smoke and mirrors that is the clubs ticketing system

  23. lets all do the huddle,

I totally agree with you, we have a great view for 2nd half goal action and Luis overdone the stepping bit from our vantage point – trying to be too cocky?

He has travelled quite far in a few days and was likely mentally tired

No Bull with Davids – if he is on the pitch, he is the Numero Uno.

  24. lets all do the huddle on

im glad rod got a bit of pelters today

    ive never really liked him

    he overplays his celtic-ness

    he is a tory cnt

and to be honest ive never liked his music

and i listen to a lot of 50s 60s and 70s stuff but just dont get him

  25. Off the ball today.

Cosgrove called the Celtic board as unionist.

    And

Why would anyone like them never mind the green brigade

  26. lets all do the huddle on

i dont like PLCs in general – football or non-football related

the handful of cnts that run them only have 1 agenda

and that is to continually stuff their overflowing troughs with more millions than they cant ever possibly spend

but worse is that they take great pleasure in taking people down while they do it

  27. Highlights.

    .

.thousands of unoccupied seats. And that whistling eejits.

Selfish owning seats and not going to support.

  28. SAINT STIVS on 26TH NOVEMBER 2023 12:02 AM

Anyone who wanted a seat today could have got one with a tiny wee bit of effort.

I believe you were offered one free of charge but you choose not to attend.

Stop moaning and make the effort.

    HH.

  29. No.

Celtic plc sort out the ownership of season cards

Wealthy people hoarding seats for big games and champions league

    Thousands of unoccupied seats

    It is an embarrassment.

Attendance will be declared as 58600.

    False accounting

    Desmond’s abacus. Hope street

i salute your indefatigability on this issue even after your -ahem- break from here

but i still have never understood what upsets you so much?

is it because season ticket holders aremt turning but then also not passing their season ticket to someone else?

or celtic saying the attendance is 58421 when it clearly isnt?

i really dont get why you keep banging this drum

are you really suggesting that the club have a couple of thousand unsold tickets sitting in the ticket office even when they say its a sell out a couple of weeks in advance yet there are many empty seats on the day?

that is clearly not true. there may or may not be a number of tickets for sponsors etc that are unclaimed but that wouldnt be 2000

i like folk banging the drum to make their point

but i dont really know why u r still beating that particular drum

  31. lets all do the huddle on

Attendance will be declared as 58600.

    False accounting

the point is it isnt false accounting, it the opposite

if there have been 58000 tickets sold for a game either via season tickets or individual tickets, even if only 10000 turn up then we still need to account for the 58000 that have been sold

who gives a shit whether the club announce the attendance as 58000 or 10000, what difference does it make to any of us?
