On my own. A solitary Tim in a sea of friendly strangers.
I wasn’t surprised we won that day. We were Celtic. It was the Centenary Season. We just won. Right?
Tommy Burns’ post match interview on that day encapsulates Celtic for me. First words are for the wee boy he’ll be up to visit on Monday. Then his family. Then the awareness of history. And finally the support. And his unbreakable bond with them. And us with him.
This day for me is for TB. And for my mother who brought me up to support good, not creed. And nudged me towards the Green due to her love of the Lions, especially Jinky.
So today I took my seat. Out of nowhere my ‘neighbour’ from Celtic Park sat down beside me. Chances of that?? No longer alone. Part of the biggest and best extended family there is.

Great performance today. CalMac might be heading to the premiership at some point if he keeps this up.
Just to top off a great day I’m hearing Rangers £10m striker is off to Turkey on loan. Waahaahaahaa. It’s great to be a Tim!

Well done to the mighty Glasgow Celtic,

I guess that the Scottish media will report this double treble as little as possible, possibly with hopeful/hopeless rumours about the Ibrox team and their new manager. Took decades for BBC Scotland to find ‘lost’ footage of the 7-1 final.

Back home after a fantastic day, left Hampden and headed
to Celtic Park well worth the lost drinking time.
I’m physically and emotionally shattered in a good way, when
the open top bus drove up the Celtic way I was in tears.

Today is quite special. We won the treble, just like last year, but this time I’m thinking about those who have been with us ages ago and have gone through really tough times seeing good football going unawarded while supporting our club even though the team couldn’t deliver a cup or a league win.
What we are seeing today is completely new. The old Rangres cheated Scottish football 10 years long and eventually paid the price by going into liquidation. (How, after cheating for so long, you can still get into that situation is quite bizarre but the huns managed to do it).
Scottish football have got to a near-level playing field – not quite while the 4th estate still has to look after its own customers …. and will always ensure there is a competitor worthy of the name rangers, but the only thing this entity has is a fan-base that says watp, which sounds hollower every season, just like playing tina turner at the old brick building.
I’ve had the good fortune of seeing Celtic winning 9 in a row. At seeing Jimmy on the Wing and Bobby Murdoch playing football.
While living in Germany I missed Henrick Larsson and Lubo, but thanks to football streams. I’m seeing Celtic history playing out via Brenden Rodgers
Glasgow is nowadays green and white and the city should be proud and thankful that we have a football team and club that is Celtic – they should promote us and engage our future plans for the club and east end of Glasgow, but we still had to fight for permission to build a hotel and are still doing the same for adequate parking.
We got an open-air bus through part of the city today so there you go…thanks
We are Celtic – we are Glasgow

The Calton and Gallowgate are bouncing. Nipped across to Morrison’s for wine and cider and the whole East End looks to be awash with sea of green and white.
I was at the 1988 final and didn’t see the t.v. coverage. On the Monday morning a woman who worked for me and who was a BIG Rangers fan couldn’t stop talking about Tommy Burns after match interview. She was genuinely moved.
