“I certainly need to push them even harder next season,” said the Celtic boss. “I think we can be better. We need to get better again. We dropped too many points this year.
“There’s lots for us to push for next season. We enter every competition to win and that will be the aim next season.
“When you have the success we had last year, it would have been so easy to have gone soft, gone timid, not had the same aggression.
“For teams like us, it’s not the punches to the head and body that stop you, it’s the pats on the back.
“We can never be satisfied. We have to be hungry to succeed.”

Just watching a replay of the game. Football will lose a talent like KT prematurely if referees down clamp down on thugs like these Motherwell players. The youngster is being targeted ruthlessly right under Clancy’s nose. Disgraceful.

I don’t think we played particularly well but we did turn up in that we showed a work rate and intensity that no team in this country can even begin to live with. The Motherwell Manager thinks they showed us too much respect, the truth is we blew them away with our speed and quality, in simple terms we outclassed them. We showed them we would not be bullied and they didn’t like that one bit. We tried to manage the game in the second half and that always results in a little sloppiness. I commented to the guy beside me that they weren’t watering the pitch at half time and I’ve been informed since that the SFA refused to water it. How sad and petty. Anyway, what else can you say about Brendan and the boys, when it matters they always do the business and long may it continue. Popped over to Celtic park afterwards too and the scenes were incredible.

Just watching the match myself, 44 mins Campbell hacks him down, to no booking shockingly, his fellow hammer thrower Tait has the cheek to stand over KT and shout something when he is lying down injured. I’ve no sympathy for Motherwell whatsoever, they deserved and got nothing.

When will Hampden be renamed the Brendan Rodgers Arena?
Watchin the after match vids with the players on the pitch, Calmac stated he grew up in the east end and was a boyhood Celtic fan, I seem to recall a few on here said he was a hun supporter when he was a wean, some even said he had the sash as his ring tone and Lenny wisy happy about it and that was the reason he was shunted to Notts Cty on loan.

My emotions at full time today were too deep to express.
I just sat quietly and thought about our forefathers who never saw such a day through the actions of Mr RM Davidson of Airdrie and how long it may be before our successors will see a day like this in future.
A bottle of Moet and Chandon which has been in a cupboard for several years is being enjoyed tonight by Mrs HJ and me.
We are enjoying the fruits of the foundations layed down by our Board starting by the decision in 2003 not to engage in a spending race with David Murray. We went through an ‘austerity ‘ period when we cut the first team budget and focussed on youth development for the first team and for profit through foreign imports to be sold on.
We are now at a stage where we have a core of a young team which is under long-term contracts, especially Scottish players. We are able to buy Olivier Ntcham for 4.5m and hopefully Odsonne for 7.0m Who are higher grade ‘prospects”, therefore a bit less risky and who will maintain their value when they do move on.
Contrast this with our city “rivals” who are chucking what they have in a desperate attempt to temporarily halt us.
The future’s bright: the future’s green and white.

Dear Norman,
Everyone at Celtic Football Club would like to say a big thank you to you for your support and commitment, not just today but throughout the season.
This afternoon’s Scottish Cup victory is a historic one for the Club and as the Celtic manager, I am privileged to have led such a talented, hard-working squad of players to secure back-to-back trebles, something that has never before been achieved in Scottish football history.
We cannot achieve these things without you – you have played a crucial role in our Double Treble-winning success – and you are part of a winning Celtic team.
We are always working and striving to improve our performances, and our success once again shows that together, as one club, with one vision, we are capable of achieving great things.
This is a proud day for us all as Celtic supporters, and moments like this remind us what it means to be part of this great Club.
I look forward to seeing many of you at Scott’s Testimonial match tomorrow here at Celtic Park, but no matter where you are in world, let’s enjoy this achievement and celebrate in style.
With all our thanks and congratulations,
Brendan Rodgers

Nailed it one – I was there in 1970 when the hooded craw robbed us and I miss the great Tims of the bank of scotland fuelled hun years
I’ve seen a few victories and a fair few disappointment’s in my time supporting the bhoys since my first game watching us defeat China way back when.
I thoroughly enjoyed our double treble victory today and I think the last two seasons of history making Invincibles and double treble winning has surpassed anything I have witnessed previously.
I have seen many cup victories and league victories with Love Street beacuase of it’s hectic victories end, our Centenary season last 15 mins victories in many league games never mind Hearts and DU semi and final, stopping the dreaded 10 and then there was MONs treble, Seville and a few last 16’s CL qualifications. Today, as last season did brought that all back. All those joyous moments and celebrations.
Their nine in a row hurt, but all during that period I have some fantastic memories of following the bhoys home and away, much of it without much of a care for how we performed because at times we were bad, really bad. That dark period I spent many a Saturday just turning. Up, singing and supporting without much expectation until the Bunnet arrived and put us back on track with a slow gradual plan that led to cup victory for Tommy and our 1 in a row under Vim. An absolute brilliant day.
But my darkest day as a supporter. You may all think I’m talking about Seville but no. That day was black Sunday when today’s opponents blagged a victory while Hibs and the Huns played a game of staying out of each other’s half. That day hurt big style and that pain has been carried since.
Until today. After winnng the treble last year and making history as double treble winners for the first time since that day I thought about it without feeling that same hurt and pain I have carried for these years.
Thank you Brendan and the bhoys.
Thank you.
Hail! Hail.

A historical day. Proud of the bhoys. My (usual) pre-match anxiety was soon settled by those two great goals. My mood then resembled the crowd – mostly bouncing inside, then quiet at times during the second half as we played the game out. Then elated at the final whistle as it sunk in that we’d done it – the never before seen DOUBLE TREBLE!
What a great time to be a Celt – treasured memories were made today.
