He’s definitely had his wings clipped and is now drifting towards the rank and file of the main stream press.

It was a tough week under the knife but now feeling a lot better and everyone seems positive ab

There are awesome folks working in the Hospital but my goodness if they could prescribe what Celtic and those involved with the club had yesterday then I am sure it would cure anything going.

He’s 20 years old and taller than both of us.

He’s doing very well and is moving towards the final year of his plumbing apprenticeship with city building.

Hope all is well with you and the family

P.s You we’re right about my last sentence , she had a wee moan this morning about my antics, apparently I was in the back garden hanging onto the washing line for dear life before she sent me to bed

  7. Celtic Women v Rangers women. 1-3 currently.

Key dofference is that they have a goalkeeper and we appear not to have.

I may have to continue celebrating on my own. My friends appear to be hors de combat. This younger generation, I do despair.

  9. The realisation that there is 11 weeks until Celtic will play again competitively and 15 weeks until we will know who we will play in the champions league groups is the only cloud in the sky today.

should be trying to sign Alison from Liverpool

She’s a great keeper but would cost a bit of cash

Keep on course, your indefatigable pursuit of your hobby is well known😂

I’m currently in my conservatory with a large glass of red, post tea, watching my English team, Everton, making a pigs ear of it😕

  12. A bit of a soapbox this one…….

I don’t agree with the proliferation of rising-flame fire effects at scottish stadia in this millenium. In a city dogged with blazes is there no other razzamataz that could be applied rather than an image that young people are subjected to which has nothing to do with sport.

I write this because I read about the fire at St Simon´s church in Partick last year and it really made me feel despondent. St Simon´s was originally St Peter´s and was founded by Father Daniel Gallagher in 1858. Father Gallagher was from Derry and encouraged by his father he had acquired an education in Ireland before he came across to Scotland. I saw his name a few years ago in connection with the missionary David Livingstone. Livingstone had also gained an education in the same era and was a couple of years older than the priest. However Livingstone came unstuck when Glasgow University rejected his application to study medicine because he had no qualification in Latin. At nearby Partick, before the church was built, Father Gallagher, who may also have stayed in Blantyre at one time, taught Livingstone the language which allowed Livingstone to continue with his studies . The church was in Partick for around 160 years, what a part it must have played in the community. It was famous for its connection with polish immigrants and mass is still said weekly in Polish in St Simon´s parish of today. St Simon´s had virtually been abandoned before the fire took place and that has happened often in other places.

Similarly, only a few weeks ago there was another fire which gutted a historic church building, St Andrew´s in Alexandria. Nobody in Scotland though gets incensed at this denigration of our culture and history even if the name of the church is St Andrew´s itself!! Politicians blabber on 24/7 about progress but I don´t remember fires in churches when I grew up. St Andrew´s cathedral is in Glasgow and as we know from Notre Dame in Paris, cathedrals can unexpectedly go up in flames as well.

The wee sheenas and shonas on radio clyde and stv will smirk with their chip pan digs at the reasons for fires in the west of scotland but now they have to report them from the Glasgow Art School or Glasgow University.

Celtic should have fire in their bellies but none on show at the stadium

    Hail Hail

Prestonpans, you are an indefatigable gentleman. May your lum aye reek. I’m on the Guinness so tomorrow I’ll be absolutely reeking. 😂

  14. For those interested in all things Astral, (Plane or Weeks) you are in for a treat in the wee wee hours (Frank) BST and in Lexington Kentucky around midnight. For tonight and tonight only, in Europe, the Americas and in Africa, we are about to witness a Total Eclipse, not of the Sun, but of the Moon. According to NASA this will occur when Big Ange comes back down to Earth in between the Sun and the Moon, creating an Umbral (formerly Umbro) shadow beginning around 2.30am and Eclipsing even the rising Moon just after 5.06am BST. Other time zones are available. Our ancestors knew that this only happens when the stars align, November 1887, October 1957, April 1965, May 1967……*

  15. If aaron hickey is away to arsenal for 20 million surely that meant celtic get 5% consolidation payment plus 20% of hearts cut. So another 1 million + heading into celtics bank account. As the advert says every little helps.

The realisation that there is 11 weeks until Celtic will play again competitively and 15 weeks until we will know who we will play in the champions league groups is the only cloud in the sky today.

BURNLEY, can I gently disagree with the ‘cloud in the sky’ conclusion? I think that this year, with the looong break, we, the fans, can enjoy the summer knowing that the players will have a great rest, Ange will be planning the next campaign and the next season will be looking ORGANISED for the first time in yonks.

BTW the red bench in Eaglesham is still in good nick (I hope this reference makes sense to you!)

Not you mate on the transfer thing.I was talking about these so called reporters that try to make out they have some inside info. The guy who put out the story had us all going.Think his name is Antony Joseph.Right Tim name as well.

He took the gamble to go to a smaller club when he left our academy against our wishes and it has worked out for him. We have lost a young player but at least we get some compensation as is only fair.

He may never have kicked ball for us but by age 19 celtic will have pocketed over 1 million pounds, doaks played a couple of time for us and we got 600k plus 5% of any any future sales. Same for all the other kids that pick other teams ahead of us. Add them lot to the ones that stick about and break into our team and the benefits of having a good academy is clear even when you lose it çouple

    The red bench certainly does.

I was thinking about Morag yesterday.

The last big game we were at together before she passed was the cup final when Tom Rogic scored against Aberdeen in the last minute.

I love the bench for a bit of space and time for reflection. It’s a great location for it. Overlooking most of the village.

  23. Emerald Bee

Of course what you say makes sense re the time to get refocused and resourced for next seasons challenges and opportunities.

No worries, mate. It always baffles me that someone would go to the trouble of producing a highlight reel for a player, then peddle false rumours about such and such a club being interested.

    Gets on my tits actually.

  25. BURNLEY I thought it was you who had mentioned the significance of the bench. Mrs Emeraldbee and myself sat there last October and I repeated your story – quite moved she was, so we often stop there on our walk from East Kilbride round Eaglesham and back. We will be up again during the week and will say a wee prayer for Morag. Lovely last footie memory you have.
