  1. Bourne: Goodbye, thanks & all the best for the future.

    CRC: Will catch up next season. Best of luck with the various fund raising activities.

  2. Great to see a Happy contented blog for once.

    My only problem, for weeks I was only wishing for the season to end, tonight I’m wishing that next season could start next week.

    Be careful what you wish for, Goodnight & God Bless All ye ghood people.

    Will say a special wee prayer for EDB tonight. EDB your courage & strength in the face of such adversity is truly inspirational.

    God Bless You & your family.

    Mark Wilson on Sportscene, on the topic of Celtic being ‘forced to play Christie as a lone striker’ (sic):

    ‘Celtic have real problems in this department.’

    That’ll be the same Celtic that scored seven goals today, through seven different scorers?

    Aye, real problems. Real problems.

    By the way Efe Ambrose take a bow son, 100% pass completion today, very competent. There’s a player in there if we just give him some backing instead of a barracking!

    Great day. It’s a pity it’s nearly over.

  4. Once again I read revisionism.

    This has been a very poor season. Ronny has generally presided over failing performances. Yeah he is a good guy but he was wildly out of depth. It showed.

    All his recent interviews showed this. He was overwhelmed. It’s not a criticism, he should never have been in the job.

    Perhaps we do have some good young players. I will be fascinated to see what happens next. But Lawwell will undermine all in his lust for money.

    One day doesn’t equate with the season. Allowing the Huns to utterly humiliate us should never be forgotten(but Lawwell hopes you have).

    Massive change is required. The board have told you they won’t change. It’s up to us to force it.

    It’s pathetic that a good day at Celtic sees the board believe they are off the hook.

    Get out Lawwell.

  5. SAINT STIVS SAYS SACK THE BOARD on 15TH MAY 2016 10:58 PM

    Fat Andy pigeon fancier from fauldhoose knocked my teeth out in module 3. 1993.

    If there are Tims there its a blessed miracle.

    Lots of Tims from Fauldhouse, not to be confused with some of its near neighbours!

  6. Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on

    We were not humiliated by the zombie monkey huns.

    We drew the match.

    We lost the tie on penalties.

    They were pish, with lots of the ball.

    We will hump that new football club 3:times next year, they are pish.

    Warburton is a city trader sales guy.

    over rated . nobody.

    Six in a row.

  7. OK – I will now hold my hands up and say I got my predictions for this season totally wrong.

    All year, amidst the cries that we are gonna lose this league, I said it would be won by an 8 to 12 point margin.

    I was dead wrong- it was almost double my lower prediction.

    Who knew that this was only a comfortable league win because :-

    a) There was no Rangers so we beat nothing

    b) Aberdeen were crap

    c) We had our no. 9 available throughout as we cannot score without Leigh Griffiths

    How’s that for revisionism?

  8. TheLurkinTim on

    Neg2,

    That’s a pretty disingenuous statement…..8 league defeats over 2 seasons is up there…..will admit Europe has been a failure overall but with the exception of a few seasons (not all in my lifetime) when hasn’t it been? ;-))

    Fauldhouse a mining village,I believe,with a good Tim presence.I know of one young guy,who was at the game today with his two young daughters,who had a nice small bet on young Jack to score.

    Is it not great today to celebrate the beginning of a young guy future,and saying we as a club are giving him a opportunity to create a future ,hopefully with Celtic,for himself.

    Hail Hail to the youth of today.

  10. spikeysauldman on

    of course , meant what age are you now as opposed to what age did you got to all saints ;-)

    Spikey

    it was Albert for me and mid forties.

    Many cousins at All Saints though

  12. St stivs. No we were humiliated. We capitulated. We were pathetic because our attitude is to. Be fearful.

    Lurkintim and others. Have you actually watched this season?

    We have been awful.

    It always amazes me that one game means all is great for many. Fifa some are saying that Ronny was now visionary.

  13. TheLurkinTim on

    Neg2,

    I have….but to equate some dire performances, from a title winning team, as failing…..well….ach, you’ve got a reputation to uphold ya maniac ;-))

  14. One games success will lead to some telling us all is great.

    Our club is in absolute mess.

    Lawwell must go.

  15. spikeysauldman on

    neganon2

    we were patchy this season

    patchy in games and patchy between games

    many games were routine & unspectacular like many many others in many other title winning seasons

    throw in some ridiculous errors and the euro games were a downer

    the semi was celtic v a wee team in a cup (even MONs teams did this)

    then there was the hun game

    overall not great, but overall not awful

  16. TheLurkinTim on

    Neg2,

    On Lawwell must go…..I will agree…..but not because of his salary or bonuses or heated driveway. but because BRT&H has given a powerful argument, backed up by ( possibly the pre-eminent ) business school, that his time is up ;-))

    Also, you’re mistaking overall mess with needing a tweak…..just like yer nose…..or nips ;-))

    Lovely day at Celtic Park.

    No my preferred line up. But it rarely is. Only Roberts the real goal threat. Maybe Ronny knows more than me. In fact I’m sure he does.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I’m sure that Ronny knows more than anyone on this blog!
    “My goal was very special because I scored it with my right foot.
    I don’t think I had kicked a ball with my right foot all season!”
    Kieren Tierney
  21. Neil Lennon & McCartney on
    “It’s amazing – even scoring with my left foot. I NEVER score with my left.”
    “I have to say Emilio has helped me immensely.
    “I wouldn’t have been playing in the first team if it hadn’t been for the tips he has given me.
    “I owe him a lot.”
    Kieran Tierney
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    God bless you Emilio.

    Whoever the next Celtic manager might be ………….here’s who he needs as defensive coach……

    Emilio Arturo Izaguirre Girón

  24. Ajer is due to arrive at CP shortly.

    Liam will return from his loan spell at Hibs later this month.

    Rogic has shown he is capable of starring in his advanced midfield role.

    Armstrong showed he can influence and score goals.

    Roberts will shine on the wing for next season.

    McGregor has recently been industrious and effective, albeit in spurts.

    Ryan Christie showed he is flexible and can lead a line as well as,hold one.

    What is happening with Brown, Bitton, Johansen, GMS and Allan?

    Or the disinterested James Forrest?

    Who will depart over the summer and who will remain to fight for limited spots in next season’s six in a row champions side?

  25. Neil Lennon & McCartney on

    GG,

    Good questions………to which I have no answers, but the future is bright!

    I’d love to see this young team really kick-on next season ~ I think they will under the right manager.

    Are you saying Kennedy ain’t up to the task?

    We have a cornucopia of midfield talent.

    There’s no room for any promising development players to even make the 24 seater midfield player bus, never mind the bench.

    We should be putting a few of the current crop on eBay.

    Are you saying Kennedy ain’t up to the task?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I do think we have two quality full backs in Ralston & Tierney.
    Learning from Mr McGrain & Emilio
  29. Neil Lennon & McCartney on
    GG,
    You are correct ~ but why so many midfielders?
    I do believe that there is room for development players ~ look at young Jack “the Lad” Aitchison.
    Nesbitt next?
