  1. From the Herald

A CAMPAIGN to have Rangers referred to by the BBC as a new club have been dismissed by a wing of the broadcaster’s governing body.

An objection was made to the BBC Trust after it had previously ruled that the BBC had been wrong to use the terms “new” and “old” club in reference to Rangers.

The Trust was told that the complaint surrounded references to “Rangers” in BBC output and that it was “more appropriate to refer to them as ‘The Rangers’ or ‘Sevco 5088’.

  2. Joey Barton headed for Govan according to the MSM.

You nailed it in your post.

Time for our board to get a backbone and stand up to the negativity directed towards our club from a collection of monkeys. (Level5).

Have a great day cqn, away tae work, unlike some!!!

  5. St Stivs.

    Fauldhouse

Yes. As someone indicated, there are definitely a number of tims from there. Back in the 70’s I attended St Mary’s in Bathgate, which was the only catholic high school around the West Lothian and surrounding district. ( They later opened St Kentigern’s in Blackburn )

Double decker buses brought all the tims to school and there was definitely one from Fauldhouse. The buses also came in from Winchburgh/Bo’ness/ Linlithgow/ Armadale/ Whitburn/, Seafield/Livingston. The school had 1300 pupils at one time.

Re Fauldhouse, there were the Timmins’ Cooks’ Toners’ Dirkie’s to name a few from memory.

I worked with Brian Cook when I left school, in fact, I picked him up and took him to the 4-2 ( 10 men won the league) match.

I think St Kentigern’s opened in 1971 ish, and after it did, all the Fauldhouse tims went there.

LoL… A day off for me. It will rip their knitting knowing I partied too long yesterday and it’s allowed ;).HH

  7. Strong rumour yesterday than Neil Lennon will be part of the new set up ,but not as manager.

So. A ‘poor’ CELTIC team , led by a diddy manager, has won the league by 15 points ( to say nothing of the +40 advantage in the ole goal difference.

And the msm’ favourite gets humped 4nil at home.

What would the league have been like if the ole Hoops had found any consistency?

If we had won it out the park by showing that consistency, the MSM would have been telling us we needed the huns back.

Not that it stopped them anyway.

  10. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

Bmcuwp- and all of a sudden league reconstruction is no longer top of the msm agenda.

    Funny ole game, Saint

Morning Bhoy’s yesterday was MAGIC!! The Bhoys were flying. Great team display and great buzz about the park.

Thanks Ronnie for your efforts, The Silverware and your roar, Pity it never worked out and Good Luck for the future.

We have a great young team there who needs nurtured, Some of the names we are being linked with might not handle them right. But let’s see.

I love and support Celtic maybe some posters should use that as their mantra, You either Love the Club or don’t, side swipes and constant moaning and bickering even on a day like yesterday doesn’t get anyone anywhere.

Constructive criticism is fine and we do need to watch what the board are doing but still we are Celtic.

Lustig looked like his old self and Jo showed flashes from last season, Armstrong as well, in fact the whole team all raised their game.

Why yesterday? Because Ronnie was leaving? To give Ronnie a good send off? Impress the new guy or do they know who it is?

    Exciting times.

    Interesting next couple of weeks.

    Hail Hail Bhoys,

OK I’m lying- it’s freezing and my toes are actually sore with the cold. I’ve never been so chllly in May.

Still, im not lying when I say it’s a Champion morning, this morning!

    Just CHAMPION!

  15. Morning all.

    Thoroughly enjoyable day yesterday.

    Just CHAMPION in fact.

Well done to all the players, and very best wishes to Ronny for the future.

Hopefully a new manager will be unveiled this week.

  18. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

I may be havering but a possible reason we played with more freedom yesterday was the players knew they wouldn’t get booted about by that wee nyaff and ‘good honest pro’ Lasley .

Guys like him and his lack of ability are one of the reasons our game is not in the best of conditions.

I liked the way Jack Aitchison never tried to manouvre himself to get the ball onto his right foot, at his goal and taking it early with his left foot. It was a tremendous finish by Jack.

We need more players capable of using both feet.

Quiz question for your ‘colleagues’ today.

Which club finished the season with the highest points per game average in the uk, the best goal difference in the uk and the 4th highest points winning margin of any top flight in europe after psg olympiakos and basel.

Clue….you wont find the answer in the msm

  22. What might have been?

What a day. What a performance.

I swear as Armstrong started making his way towards the box I was (sitting there) thinking what a sweet finish he has in his armoury and hadn’t it germ great to see him play a role more suited to his natural position and strengths…….boom! Peach!

Christie. Saw that kid come on for ICT and cut a swathe through our defence. Was delighted we bought him. We’ve waited way too long to let him loose.

Left back. Class takes over the mantle from class.

Rogic. Graffiti on the wall says you’re (feet) are magic, they’re magic…..

    ‘Dear Santa,

    Thank you.

    Jack, aged 16’

Joe Hanson. 100% energy, 100% intelligence

Everyone was class. Throughout the 90 and beyond.

A wee vignette about the mhan I hope will be our next captain. Did anyone notice Erik’s reaction towards Janko as the kid came on. Went out of his way to make the kid feel special and wanted. Had to see it to fully get the nuance of the body language. A real team man. A boy who gets the Bhoys.

As someone posted earlier the next manager needs to take on RD’s stated aims and make them work. Consistently. And in Europe.

Yesterday showed what might have been and what can be.

No return to a ‘traditional’ Scottish or British style coach please.

  23. Dallas Dallas,

I’m sure you’re right about Lasley and his ilk. Things are never going to change, as the SMSM tacitly support such “players”. I think that is because the deid team were always renowned for their “robust” approach to the game. It is one of the major reasons why I long for us to move to another league; one where the emphasis is on skill, skill and skill.

  24. KEVINLASVEGAS

I know we are not in the same ‘league’, but clubs like Bayern, Man City and Chelsea will all have new managers next season. Namely Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte who were announced months ago, giving them plenty of time to assess the players at their disposal.

The sooner we announce who the new manager will be, the better.

    Time is of the essence.

I’m kinda hoping KEVJ proposes Warburtons for the Celtic job.

That way we can look forward to pumping his team by 7 or 9.

    Aye,……tae the 27th of May!

Then, the hierarchy will remove they’re Celtic masks and, re-ignite they’re yearly sting.

Unless, at long last….Celtic supporters have sent them a season ticket renewal message!

In other news – That was a grand day yesterday.

An end of season, magical, meaningless, memorable sorted day.

Did Ronny do a final roar ?

Wonder where he’ll end up ?

John Collins said the other day that, history will reflect if RD, JC, JK were success or not.

But, he said it with a knowing glint in his eye.

For me, it was as much as – “…if yeez thought we were bad, wait till ye see who’s coming in next!”

    Hmmmmmmmmm………?
