    I am definitley coming up for the RC v Celtic match. Cannot meet my two RC nephews pre match. Could meet you pre match and go for a meal wi the lads and my family after the game. I think we are staying the night in Dingwall.

    My greatest Celtic regret was not making Seville, although young nephew & niece were pre-Pub age and they loved the fact they were with me while every other Celtic fan I knew was in a different country…….anyway Cardiff would be magic but get saving for Solna ! If it ever happens again we will be there

    I never thought that I would ever see Celtic in a Euro final again pre 2003. Getting a ticket and being there is the fitba highlight of my life when we got beat. Love Street ’86 trumps it. :)

    Hertz lost 3-2 tonight and Robbie Nielson, fresh from saying that Celtic buy players while Hertz develop them – was at it again.

     

     

    “We are a young team.” he said.

     

     

    Actually, 9 of his players are in their twenties and 2 are in their 30s.

     

     

    Total age 303 years.

     

     

    Tonight Celtic’s players ranged from 18 (Ralston) to 34 (Gordon) with a 19 yr old, one aged 30 and the rest in their 20s.

     

     

    Total age 282 years.

     

     

    Celtic also finished with 6 academy developed players on the field,

     

     

    I believe Hertz had 3 such players on the field at the one time.

     

     

    And thus the lies are repeated until they become the truth unless we challenge them.

    Really good post. After the shaky start, Ronnie had an excellent 1st season, but the players seemed to lose faith after the defeat to Malmo.

     

     

    Ultimately things appear to have worked out for the best, so maybe that’s just how the stars had to align for Rodgers. If Larsson doesn’t break his leg maybe we don’t get Martin O’Neill, maybe der hun doesn’t use a tax avoidance scheme to buy players it cannot afford, maybe they never get liquidated with 140 years of history buried 6 feet under by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.

     

     

    As impressive as things look, expectations should be tempered. Forget talk of trebles. The cups don’t matter in the greater scheme of things. Qualifying for the Champions League and winning the title should be our only focus.

    The only other time I’ve seen this in a contract was Shearer at Ñewcastle.
