Murderwell true to form for the most part in first half, capable of playing some football but more than happy to kick and push. Celtic playing some decent enough football at times, FF had one or two touches but we just haven’t had the final ball in our pressing. It’s coming though.

Aye son, we can see that you are really having a go, end to end stuff. That’s one end of your box to the other.
I’d swap Sammy with Stokes. We need to be sharper around the edge of the box.
HT Celtic 0-0 Motherwell
Good first half from the Bhoys. Motherwell have made it very difficult for us to find space in the final third but you can sense a goal is coming. Hooper is having to come too deep and his first touch when outside the box has been poor. Midfield need to do more coming forward to allow Hoops to stay up top. Wanyama is too deep and Ki is not getting forward enough. James is the one player out there who needs to do a lot more. Charlie is having another outstanding game and Sammy has also done well. Defensively we have had very little to do. For all Motherwell’s pressing the ball, they have nothing up front and don’t look like scoring. Fraser has hardly had a touch.
Lenny will need to get our midfield fired up for the second half. An early goal and Motherwell will change their shape and allow the game to open up. They have clearly come looking for a 0-0.
If somebody moves inside the box in the second half we will score.
Would like ot see Wanyama sit back 10 yards from Ki when we attack. He goes ahead of Ki at points and I think that leaves us looking a bit exposed.
HT – Not bad. Think we can score 2nd half.
perhaps Ki shouldn’t play against Motherwell – seems to get flustered. He seems to picked against them quite a lot but, from memory, very rarely does he have a good game.
Referee – poor as expected.
Samaras – what a lazy looking player. If there are 3 of them around you that means they are two short elsewhere.
Most of us learned this at playtime – Maybe Sammi will crack this before he retires.

With Broonie and Kayal injured we are very weak down the right hand side.
Sammi should have stayed at home, he has destroyed every forward movement.
Will take 1-0 but this game could go to the last minute.
Tough call for Lenny just shortly.

You could say Sammi of old is back – or you could say Sammi is just like that when he plays up front.
Either way it is disappointing that Lenny decided to play him up front – just to get him in the team.
He wouldnt play the skipper up front just to get him in the team so I dont understand why he does it with Samaras.
If he isnt playing wide left then dont play him.
How many long balls have we played today in comparison to when its Hooper and Stokes up front?
Why break up a successful goal scoring and goal assisting partnership?
Can we change things please?
Would like to see Stokes coming on early in the second half.

I really shouldn’t be surprised.
After last week I thought things were changing, seems I was wrong.
As often happens when Ki plays central we go lateral and allow teams to set defensively.
He has had some good moments but has to learn to drive at them and force them to adjust.
The service to the strikers is slow and poor leaving them isolated against 3 + 4 defenders.
Forrest not in the game yet so if he doesn’t get involved we should get Commons on.
Sammi has had moments but maybe Stokes can unlock them.
They should see that when Charlie drive at them it caused problems and tell others to do likewise

If you are referring to me, I think you will find Samaras would agree with me.
He said himself only a few weeks ago in a fairly detailed explanation as to why his strengths lie in running at people, he also openly admitted he isnt at his best with his back to goal.
