I will not ask you if you are a hun, after meeting you tonight, and realising your identity. You attend more Celtic matches than anyone on here. Considering your location, that is wonderful. Safe journey home my friend.

2nd half the Celtic Support was outrageously GOOD.

  5. just watched the game again. I stand by my earlier comments. The board left the team exposed by not providing funds to improve the team in key defensive areas. Secondly, BR picked the wrong shape of the team. Some of their goals would have been dealt with easily – a couple of their goals were fortunate breaks.

Our defense is weak and we simply have not invested. Once again we are wheeling and dealing at the tail end of the transfer market. What happened to the targets?

Of course i don’t expect us to beat PSG, but i certainly think IF we are in the champs league we should have enough funds available to make the team competitive. Tactics and Funds let us down!

DD – the word for some of their play last night was ‘telepathic’.

A phenomenal understanding exhibited by truly great players.

We don’t need to fret about spending x-amount here and there – a £5 million centre -half might have made it 0-4 on the night, not much elses.

As far as Europe is concerned, the financial gap is now so huge all we can do is focus on the long-game and place our trust in our own corporate sharks like PL to carry Celtic’s case for being included in whatever beneficial football revolution is required to make the sport truly competitive again.

As for here and now – I want TEN IN A ROW.

CL, and Europa, yes, as asides every year would be nice. But primarily – THE TEN.

To me and many others of my generation – and we KNOW this to be TRUTH – the TEN will kill the Huns.

    ====================================================================

    No it won`t , mate.

The huns have already factored that in. But who cares what they think ?

    They`re a domestic irrelevance and it`s a statistical irrelevance.

Of no lasting significance outside the footballing backwater that is Scotland.

Who cares about Scottish domestic kudos ?

    Nobody outside the Jock steamie.

SFA accountability is the only domestic game in town.

Brendan and the Board want Europe.

    Me too.

  7. Is it just me or is there something romantic about getting pumped by Paris in Glasgow?

Keep the faith, the capitalists have the rest.

  8. SIONNACH ABU,

Good to see you post again, hope you’re well, and you haven’t been going through a bad time.

Not sure about romance, but watching some of the PSG fitba’ last night quite arousing.

We’re not likely to ever be financially competitive with the likes of PSG, Real Madrid etc. but that’ll never change the love i have for our team, and the emotion i feel when i’m lucky enough to be close to them.

    HH mate,

  9. ..

As We sang at Halftime in The Park of Princess in 95′..

    You Gotta Roll with it..

Personally I didn’t think PSG were All that.. They will be Found out Again this Season..

Funny that our 3 Best players were Teenagers.. No Fear..

As for the Return of Rapid Vienna scenario..

I’ve Said it since I stood in De Kuipp Stadd in 85′ with 8,000 other Celtic Fans..

One Person Should Not be Able in this Day and Age Singlehandedly get Our Club Fined..Banned or Playing behind Closed Doors..

Celtic surely could if it is the case get Lawyers to Prove a Person is Not a SB Holder.. Regular.. of sound mind or Whatever..or just a Wee Daft Drunk that gets a Pull every other Week.. as I said if that be the Case.. Call UEFA’s Bluff..

All that being Said: The Double Header against the Flemish was always the Key.. and Maybe..?

The Princess from the Parc.. as everybody is telling us have 15 Points and Qualified by the Time We Head to France to.. ‘Roll with it ‘ in December..

Still think We are Missing Sammi in Europe..¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  10. We are in a 2 legged tie v Anderlecht for a place in the EL. That was always looking to be the case, and last night was confirmation of that.

I simply cannot envisage either Anderlecht or Celtic taking anything from the big 2.

Not surprised in the least that we lost to PSG last night. Disappointed that we were so passive for the first 45 which was the reason for the 3-0 half time deficit.

All we can do now is get some more domestic wins racked up and go into the next CL tie with renewed appetite and see what it brings.

  11. Bateen Bhoy

I’m well, thank you. Hope you are too.

PSG’s performance tonight reminded me of the last words my Grandfather said to me,,”When in doubt, f**k”.

We’ll live to fight another night in Europe, so long as Brendan can keep our young guns well oiled.

  12. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

Don’t normally comment much after a defeat,I’ll stick to that.

Biggest disappointment of the night was probably Ferry Tuckwit running onto the park.

Back to reality on Saturday,a nice wee win will cheer us up no end.

  13. Good morning CQN from a cool, clear and windy East Devon.

Very disappointing last night, FFP was there for all to see, Neymar really is an obnoxious barsteward.

  14. Rather bizarrely we as a club are in the worst of both possible worlds. Domestically, we operate in a league where the general standard is piss poor and we don’t have to be that great to be the dominant force in the land.

At CL level, we are the European equivalent of Motherwell hopeful that we may scrape the odd good result against the big boys but always fearing a humping when we play them.

This is not a sustainable model and hopefully fans demand changes to reduce the gulfs that exist at home and in Europe.

  15. What part of the ground did the halfwit who ran on ( couldnt see it obviously) appear from ?

Celtic will be fined again no doubt…let the Chump pay it.

Crowd invasions by the Huns almost every week…nothing said by SPFL or SFA.

Funny that maybe Celtic should also be questioning why that is ?

We were outclassed and out played…no complaints from me.

Most of PSG players looked a yard faster, and considering that Celtic ( quite rightly) Pride ourselves in our improved fitness under Brendan, we were at times looked to be off the pace ?

  16. BIG JIMMY on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2017 7:06 AM

PSG had well rested, fresh, more skillful legs on display last night.

I neednt explain to you the demands of our “pre season”. Would help somewhat if our more skillful players didnt go cap in hand to the SFA travelling thousands of miles in the process, in nothing more than a attention seeking exercise.

    Keep the faiith.

    HH

  17. Big Jimmy

I think the quality that PSG exuded from the first whistle seen a little fear instilled in our players. We gave the ball away so many times it was incredible. Paddy, Scotty S, Armstrong, Lustig, were repeatedly either failing to get past a man or playing wayward passes that seen us on the back foot for long spells. At one stage early on possession was 20/80.

Half time changed saw us a bit better and it went 40/60 at one point in the second half but the huffing and puffing to no avail saw us tire and hence the late collapse.

All that we can do now is try to learn and adapt but no amount of effort will see us overcome a team with the quality on display last night.

It’s akin to me taking on Mo Farrah over 10k. Unless he breaks a leg on the way, the outcome is obvious.

As for the invader, what can you say. Absolute cretin. I’ll assume he was pashed. Surely no sober supporter would indulge in such an idiotic act?

Await his court appearance and the usual defence crap. ” My client is embarrassed, out of character, blah blah. ” I’ll stop short of wishing a custodial sentence on him but whatever he is given, I hope, sees him reflect on the shame he has brought to Celtic, his family and himself.

Oh, and ask for the 5 way agreement to be published, let’s expose FtSFA on what they done

( this will also highlight Petrie I’m sure )

    Hail Hail

  20. Said to the big Bhoy beside me pre match that beating PSG couldn’t match beating Barca. PSG were an expensively assembled squad, not a great club or team honed together.

    How wrong was I!

Beating that team would have been an achievement some way greater than beating Barca. PSG’s fearless creativity inside their own box was incredible to watch. And their defensive harrying in packs in our half was hugely impressive.

We were offered a lesson. Learn from it.

Ralston. Glad he stayed on for the full 90 to become a Bhoy and a man.

The moron came from the standing section. He waltzed the line of police and stewards, nipped over 2 barriers and ran half the length of the pitch!
