Gary67, ha ha my sleekit plan to revise history has been rumbled.

Serves me right for trying to be smart.

  2. John Guidetti could become a superstar for us. I think he knows that. He has time on his side to get a big move in 3 or 4 years if he wishes. As a support we have been crying out for a hero for a few years now. Step up to the plate big man!

don’t let the uber fans get you down..

you have the spirit of your convictions…

mini just told me she was in tears when bbj was on the receiving end of that tackle.

she is a fan.. of Celtic. I’ll let her enjoy Celtic football..I’ll moan about the other stuff whilst passing on my love for the hoops.,

  4. Guidette’s 2nd free kick is a stunner.

The 1st one was excellent on his part, but question marks may be raised about the Thistle keeper.

You just know the 2nd one is a fantastic effort when the keeper just looks at the ball as it hits his net!

  5. Stop having a go at the size of the crowd.

Tonights attendance was OK after all four home games in 10 days is a big ask especially if you don’t live in Glasgow or Lanarkshire.

Thankfully the next one is a traditionally Sat @ 3pm KO

    Good Evening All.

    Four things to celebrate:

    1. Excellent result

    2. The return of 4-4-2

    3. We have found ourselves a striker or perhaps two – maybe even three!

    But most of all:

    4. Excellent use of communications today by Celtic Football Club to alert and inform everyone of their support for the Green Brigade Foodbank Collection on Saturday, the support for the Trussell Trust, highlighting and acting on food poverty on our doorstep, and highlighting the donation of the Charity Foundation of £50,000.

THAT is the Celtic I know and love.

Plus I know there will be more on Saturday — watch this space for details.

What have you done today to make me feel proud?

    Quite a lot actually.

  7. Hees a super sweede and the huns are deed…….glad there is now someone who can take free kicks…….that Naka guy was special

All who pointed out about our less successful Swedish players, I am now sitting uncomfortably with my tail between my legs.

    My revsionist plan was scuppered.

I’ll need to use the SMSM, SFA & Jack Irvine to get history revised properly.

I made exactly the same points in the last article. Please, timland, do not allow the gutter press to set your agenda. Their sole purpose is to undermine Celtic and the support.

Der hun is in terminal decline and they will stoop to the lowest dirtiest tricks to deflect from that.

They are scared rigid at the thought of Ronny being a success. JG scares them even more. What an inspired signing. Go JOHN GUIDETTI!!

Thanks for the ticket tonight, really appreciated.

Apologies if I made you late and seemed a little manic too. I got some unsettling news today and my head is a little fried.

Hi pal. It is the record readers in our support who scream obscenities at our players and manager and boo us off at H/T. I am convinced of that.

  12. enjoyable night tonight . mini-sanna and myself (can i still call him mini when he’s taller than me ) were decanted to 105 and spent some time with Lennybhoy , Billybhoy (without the 05 and the only cqn’r with a tribute act) and Tim Molloy(?) .

Crowd enjoyed it, we didn’t get p’d on like last week and i was home for 10 o’clock -long may these poor crowds continue !

Great game tonight. So many positives for Celtic. Smallish crowd 17-20000 but great atmosphere. The team gave the fans something to get excited about and how they responded! I know we played a half against 20 men but that wasn’t our fault and Celtic punished Thistle heavily for their aggression. There were great performances from most of the team and everybody played for the jersey – no failures. Craig Hordon wasn’t troubled much but was always assured and commanded his defence. Mikael Lustig gets a special mention. His energy up and down the wing was a thing to behold. He was immense and when Huidetti was assailted by the Thistle player, Mikael ran 20 yerds to get in the guys face, others followed and it seemed to make the refs mind up about the seriousness of the offence. Two minutes later, another bad foul on a Celtic player and this time it was Guidetti who was first to get close up and personal with the perpetrator. Yellow card followed for the PT player. This has been missing from the current Celtic team but tonight it looked as if they’re now in it together. Izzy was marvellous down the left and scored with a volley from 6 yards. How we all celebrated.

Jason Denayer and Big Virgil were immense. Virgil got forward to support the attack while Jason blotted out Thistle’s sttacks on his own. The midfield pressed hard and were very aggressive. Highly competent performances from them all. BBJ was unbelievable up front, running and harrying and hoofing the ball into the net prodigiously from distances. If ever a player was designed to be a Celtic player it is surely John Guidetti. Leigh zgriffiths finally took his chance. Was an absolute pest for the Thistle defence and scored a great header. His second was well desreved for his persistence although the fact that it ended up in the net carried an elemen of luck.

I am really glad I made the effort to go tonight. Those of you who are dtill staying away should get along to see Big Guidetti on Saturday. You won’t be disappointed. I’m very pleased for Ronny Deila that things are improving. If tonight gave us an insight into the type of game that he wants Celtic to play then I can’t wait for more. I hope Ronny has a long and fruitful career at Celtic.

    Happy! Happy! Happy!

    That would be Mrs Cowiebhoy?

Good looking woman with a rubbish taste in men? Partial to a sherry apparently. Has a soft spot for chaps with a hump and limp.

She will always have the time of day for your goodself.

  15. Jobo Balde

You asked earlier if TRFC win the SC (or lose to title winners) in May 2015 will they be allowed to enter a UEFA competition in season 2015/16 i.e. a year earlier than if they get a UEFA slot in 2016.

As a club outside the top tier in May 2015 they are not subject to same UEFA licensing rules as a top tier club but a separate rule exists whereby a club qualifying in sporting merit can apply for a licence via their national association.

They would have to satisfy UEFA of their financial soundness in May 2015 but even if they could they would not have had 3 years uninterrupted membership of the SFA until August 2015 as the application would have to be with UEFA by end of May 2015 to make a decision.

Because granting exceptionally is at UEFA’s discretion, even if SFA support it, it cannot be said that they would be refused but given they have not completed the 3 years designed to protect the integrity of UEFA competition and are still not likely to be viewed as sound and possibly because of their previous attempt in 2011 at getting a licence I doubt that they would be granted one.

    ………………………………….

Just before John Guidetti’s first goal, young McGregor made a mistake. A guy behind me yelled at.him and another guy screamed at him. If either of these two had shouted encouragement at young Callum and his team mates at the same volume earlier in the season our performances might have been much better.

Having said that, the young man needs a rest for 5-6 games. He has done very well to date but has needed a rest for the last few weeks.

In case you are still lurking. Enjoyed tonight at the club. For once Mrs Unthank was driving , so I was allowed my 2 beers. Then- – – – -despite the fact we have travelled the road a few hundred times ;- she had to turn on the sat nav to get us to Motherwell?
