   I know you can’t play blu-ray discs on a DVD player but can you play DVDs on a blu-ray?

    

    

   Yes you can. An ordinary DVD player won’t recognise a Blu ray disc but a blu ray player will play both.

   I see the Sun tell us that the Celtic board won’t be sacking Deila.

    

   I remember a few years back we had looked at a Polish coach and there was a story he was to take over from Lenny. It was a random story but too random to not have any foundation.

    

    

   The current plan is to sign players identified by the scouts that fit the financial framework. This happens regardless of the head coach. This is why we will go ahead and sign more players during this transfer window knowing there is a high percentage chance that there could be a new coach in place by the summer to pick a team and formation.

    

   This model may work at clubs with people who are qualified to sustain the model but we have an accountant and a head scout making decisions on the tools the main man will get to do his job.

    

   Deila is off taking in games in Spain. Lennon did the same with games in Portugal ad England. How many players identified for him to go and watch were actually signed? Why bother with the travel expenses?

    

   Those in charge believe it doesn’t matter what coach they get or his ethos … His preferred style of play etc.

    

   this is a fundamentally flawed approach that will end in further heartache unless we get lucky with the next coach and the next batch of signings.

    

   We will never know if Ronny would have been a success given the players he has been given to work with. Who knows how the next coach will fair. Perhaps an International manager who is used to moulding a restricted pool will be a better option next time around.

   Ronny is working with one hand tied behind his back due to the fundamental flaw in player recruitment outlined above. However, he hasn’t helped himself in his rigid formation, player selection, man management, lack of ability to gain support from senior management, lack of flexibility, early revolutionary changes, sound bites after games criticising players for being scared etc.

    

   He failed to sort out Commons, played Johansen beyond his ability, plays players out of position and has a core who don’t believe he issues the correct instructions either as a game plan or on an individual basis.

    

   The game is up for Ronny and his eventual departure will be as uneventful as his tenure.
