God Save the Queen” is the national anthem of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Like many aspects of British constitutional life, its official status derives from custom and use, not from Royal Proclamation or Act of Parliament.

    waste of a post really

  2. Manchester City have asked to meet the body responsible for Premier League referees to discuss their concern at tackles being made against them.

The Premier League leaders have cited nine challenges this term which they say have not been suitably sanctioned.

Forward Raheem Sterling has said City are being “butchered”, and team-mate Bernardo Silva said they are targeted.

*Isn’t it about time the SPL leaders did the same.

Having trouble reloading this site,so in reply to the poster re the tackle on KT and all…

One guy hit him with both legs twice and punched him on the head on the way through.

    That’s a clearly premeditated attack.

KT needs to have the protection that the laws of the game insist on. He should not be going out there as a punchbag for thugs, and he certainly shouldn’t be going out there knowing he’s gonna get kicked all over the place.

Six game ban when he finally retaliates, guaranteed.

Bring it on,son. And tell the SFA to stick their caps up their arse when it happens.

  4. Barney,

The Headline was ‘ Tragic Ex Celtic Player Liam Miller sent jealous mates pictures of dream US life months before shock death’

    WTF was that about ?

  5. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

We’re through to the next round which is what matters most .

Moussa and Scott Sinclair’s reluctance to use their left foot in good position to score , is annoying. Two of Moussa’s best finishes last season were scored with his left foot.

Our defence was poor after their first but when I think back , Thistle did not really create anything other than their second goal.

Edwards should have been booked for the unnecessary barge into Kieran . He blocked Broonie a few times then when Broonie repaid the compliment , he was greetin at the ref.

Cerny shoud have walked for the high boot on Moussa plus Erskine for persistent fouling and dissent.

McLean’s performance was as bad as some our players today but we expect that from him.

  6. Another really poor performance. Zenit will murder us on current form.

Our midfield is porous, lacks creativity, and frequently stretched all over the park. Our defenders (bar Kieran) are constantly caught in possession or make elementary mistakes.

    Lustig is completely done.

Up front, Moussa is, I fear, playing with one eye on a move in the summer. Sinclair looks fed up. James was tremendous today, but drifts in and out…

I’d like to see Kouassi given more time. He has presence and dig. I’d bin Lustig, can’t believe there isn’t a better replacement in the squad. Jozo: first bid we get we should accept.

Rogic, Paddy, and Armstrong should all be in the team as soon as they are fit.

Think Brendan’s comments afterwards betrayed his own anxiety for the first time. We aren’t improving.

  7. Don’t know what to make of today’s game. It wasn’t the proverbial game of 2 halves. There were 2 halves in the first half alone.

We were well in command when we gifted them a goal and then we seemed to lose all confidence. We went to pieces and playing the old safety first.

Then we recover and score a third and then gift them another goal adn go to pieces yet again.

Have we too many young lhads playing.

By the way, I also thought at least 1 Thistle player should have been given his marching orders.KT, in particular gets marked for “special treatment”, just about every game. No different today.

LIAM MILLER’s death is a tragedy for his family, and for everyone who knew and loved him. His memory expands beyond that, into the greater Celtic family, because we knew him as a wonderful player.

His death should not be a he did you did football. No death should be treated that way.

Liam deserves better than that. And,yes,I’ve read some of the stuff posted about him,I even c&p to put on here as an example of the above.

    Then…

    Naw.

I didn’t click on the DR link this morning, but IIRC,it was headed something like

Liam Miller sends details of his great life in the US.

    Paraphrased,obviously.

Question is,which lowlife forwarded them to the DR?

  13. Does anyone know if James Forrest got to take the match ball home today? Or is it still stuck under his teammates’ feet?

Seriously though JF and Broony carries the other 9 players today

Agreed. If Jamesie hadn’t been playing ,I think there’s a good chance we might have lost that game because nobody else in our team looked remotely capable of scoring. It was summed up in the second half when Scott Sinclair was put through 1on1 with Cerny and he chipped it tamely into his arms. I actually thought in that first 10 minutes that James Forrest would inspire his team mates but after Jozo’s blunder, the feelgood factor just seemed to drain away. Bit of a worry.

The other night they only managed 8 fouls, but with two yellows.

Their opponents also had eight. No yellows. Lesson learned, kick the team yer ref disnae want to win.

I dont like giving recommendations for bars etc because everyone has different tastes but this is a place I enjoy visiting. You might even meet Edith Piafs ghost.

The ground floor piano bar stays open until 5 or 6 am.along with the tourist types there will be many singers/buskers who come in and sing a song or two. The downstairs basement has a cover charge cabaret which I never bothered with as I think its a bit of a tourist rip off.

    Tom…..

On the latest developments re PL and SFA I used to say “relax, the universe is unfolding as it should”

I am moving towards ” relax, the universe is unravelling as it should”

Nothing said by PL that I have read or heard is inconsistent with statements made public by Celtic in September last year.

What you are not going to hear is PL say is “Regan is a DIDDY.” PL going for Board that governed Regan.

Just wandering around the streets of Paris is enough intoxication anyway.
