Strange one today. Brilliant display from JF. Jozo Simunovic a nightmare again although goalkeeper could have tried harder after that shocking pass back. Watch it again, arms down by side with no effort or attempt to make a save. We can’t blame the AstroTurf this week or the lose of two defenders in 30 minutes so what is the problem, not the symptoms?
Multimillion pound squad struggling week in week out against clubs with no international players to speak of faceing us up and fighting like their very lives depended on it. The spirit and belief seems to have deserted us but we must reignite the dynamics of this squad.

Don’t think he would be too phased about no getting a hooped shirt. He paid his parents mortgage off and then moved them to a “big hoose”, but notthe big hoose………:_)
He’d have been a good signing if we’d bought him when he was a nipper and he’d had the benefit of Celtic coaching, but offering 50 grand to Dundee was insulting. I’m glad Dundee told us to poke it.
I see a few posts stating that Peter Lawwell did a good job in laying out a clear message by omitting some people from his roll of approbation. Their view is that it was clear who he was aiming at because he did not mention them.
Well, I am afraid that a neutral punter, like Willie Miller in the Radio Scotland studios, showed a complete lack of understanding on who or what Peter was getting at.
That is the problem with a coded message. Anyone , who is not in the know as to the code, can interpret it as they see fit, as masterful or woeful. The problem with a hidden message is that it hides from understanding.
As for criticism of Charly Musonda, I will go out on the same limb that I did for James Forrest these past 5 years. James was always a good player, albeit with some habits that needed to be coached out. Freedom from injury has helped him become the player he always could have been.
And Charly Musonda is very obviously a talented player who is still finding his feet with us. I feel sure that he is going to be a big star once he works out the rules for tackling up here and the runs of his team mates. I remain glad that we have him.

I go on about this passing at the back. This is something we have to get right.Playing the ball out from the back,is not,Keeper to defender,to defender, back to keeper,to defender,to midfielder, back to defender, back to keeper,Ad Nauseum.Surely the idea is to get the ball on the deck to the midfield, then onto the forwards as quickly as possible. The amount of time the ball is in our own half in games is bordering on the ridiculous.
We can be much better, and we do get flashes of how good we can be when we go forward.

With regard to PL’s interview with Tom English one of the things that bothered Res12 guys was Celtic’s reluctance to approach UEFA as the Res requested and instead with deal with the issue domestically.
One possible answer has emerged from the documentation Celtic released last September which contains a letter of 25 May 2012, a letter Res12 guys don’t recall seeing although it tells us Celtic were active in trying to protect the integrity of the game.
Note Well:
It’s not a defense of Celtic. It is an observation based on realising who was involved and if your core belief is its all part of a pretendy put up job then dont go to the link for it will change nothing.
On the other hand if you are prepared to be a bit more informed and put aside suspicions (that the Res12 guys themselves had because of reluctance to approach UEFA) then have a look at
My dad commented yesterday after watching the game and the ‘tackles’ – ‘people are just so jealous of Celtic….’
KT will be seriously injured sooner rather than later. Every bad challenge should result in a posse of angry players surrounding the 2 perps – the one from the other team and the one with the whistle.
Sounds like a good idea. We have to do something. The MIBs are letting the opposition kick lumps out of him each and every domestic game. I was surprised yesterday. I didn’t think Thistle were that kind of team but there were certainly a couple who were more than happy to dish it out, especially the one with the pony tail. He should have seen an early bath.

Some general observations:
Celtic play the ball out from the back for two reasons. Space and accuracy.
Space: it’s simply to draw teams out and tire them, for later in the game too. Accuracy. Some of our support have latched onto a weary mantra of get it forward, quicker. If Celtic do that they will potentially surrender possession, most of the SPFL teams are set out really well, good players too, with one or two overriding instructions from their coaches. Playing the ball forward quicker and faster will inevitably surrender possession.
For the second week we have played with 10. The young lad, Musonda, neither links nor works, at this moment in time. The commentator Michael Stewart referenced the point at half-time, along the lines that we have better current options for the berth. I’d add that’s perhaps a short term view, and our manager is looking ahead.
Enjoyment. The players just don’t seem to be enjoying the game just now.
A few comments about KT being singled out ? How many times did a team mate get involved ? I listened to the CQN podcast with John Fallon and Frank McCgarvey. Both mentioned Broony as the sole player who will get involved, start (a scrap) something. Both observed that in the Hearts game, when Brown attempted to kindle some passion, few if any of the others backed him.
