  1. I remain annoyed at this. Has anyone ever listened to someone asking for change and re-structuring and ever thought anything other than ” Speak English! and tell us what you really think and want!”

Can you really make a career in business by just avoiding the specifics of the subject?

  2. OVERSEASBHOY on 10TH FEBRUARY 2018 3:03 PM

Agree – Charly must be frustrated. Kept showing for the ball only for Lustig and Jozo and even KT to turn backwards

Shhh, you will be accused of wanting the ball humped up the park by some of the experts on here.

You can see the difference when after a few passes, the ball gets played to the midfield. This is when we are dangerous breaking forward. Some are just to lazy, preferring just to keep knocking it back.Accept some responsibility, head up,pass. The amount of time we take to get it there, the opposition have a full team back behind the ball.

  3. The trouble we often find ourselves in is usually of our own making.

Why did Lustig only make his first positive run in the 90th minute?

Why does KT now often receive passes facing backwards in stark contrast to previous two seasons?

DeVries is not a very good shot stopper or distributer.

Why do so many of our players seem afraid to make forward runs or passes?

Only JF and Ntcham did today.

Teams now know we only take the safe back pass so can press aggressively knowing they won’t overcommit.

We are team playing an upright passive system.

Our possession now is becoming less and less potent.

Dembele may not be replicating last years form due to injury disruption but the service to him is almost non existent.

I think Brendan needs to rethink his formations and strategy.

    SFTB,

I never heard the interview, but going by your account, I think PL played it right.

He was not going to publically name and shame, but by calling for change, it was obvious to whom he was referring.

Anyway, it is not just about individuals, rather it’s about the culture that prevails, no matter who is in office.

He did name those who he thinks should have a greater say in affairs and a couple of high profile names were missing.

  5. long ball game

Jozo punted a ball right to the thistle player who played it over top to CS who out muscled jozo 3-2

  6. GENE

Jozo gave the ball away often.

Sometimes he payed it forward to players facing backwards and the refs tolerance of thistle playing through the back of man often resulted in us losing possession.

We seem only to react to ball once we gain possession.

There seems very little awareness or anticipation in our team.

We are reactionary ,static and robotic this season.

Starting to feel we are overcoached.

  7. James Forrest

Well done on scoring hat trick .

    Another little milestone in his

Celtic career he has now been subbed

In 100 competitive games for Celtic

  8. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

    SFTB,

Regan has gone bye bye and will either be dealt with retrospectively, or not, via the Compliant Officer’s report.

As for Doncaster. At this time, he has to be co-opted as an ally.

Remember , the SPFL backed the call for a review.

For any changes occur, the clubs, via the SPFL will have to push for them.

PL is correct not to give the media whatever strategy is being planned, if any.

However, he did mark their cards and I, for one, am happy to see how it plays out.

I suspect there is something afoot, especially after Desperate Eck turned down the job he recently craved.

Thank you, bud. I got hammered yesterday for my thoughts and opinions on PL,which I thought were considered truthful and accurate.

    Or at the very least,honest.

As I expected,I woke up to a maelstrom of abuse from his fan club.

Apparently I have a problem wi the fella!

Heyho,in the land of the blind….

  10. Under Brendan generally we don’t play well before a European game.

Musonda’s been here 5 minutes, it takes all our new players a few months to really settle in.

  11. My friends in Celtic,

Well we made really hard work of that. The game was on ” council ” TV so nearly everybody had access to it. All this possession football around our own 18 yard line is not entertaining. To maintain our crowds we need a winning team, but a winning entertaining team.

As stated previously the Zenit games are Huge. Get a sports physiologist in pronto. Udoubtabably we have the talent, we just need to display it.

HH to all, but especially to those who made the effort to attend.

  12. It was another very average performance today, we started so well but got really sloppy after 15 mins and brought a lot of problems upon ourselves.

Jozo’s head doesn’t look right to me, those mistakes are happening in every game now. The honest truth is that he has been shocking this season, the list of mistakes costing us goals is lengthy. On the other hand I thought Kris Ajer was near flawless. KT was above average as usual, he took some beating in the first half too. Congratulations to Jamesy on his first professional hat-trick.

Moussa still looks like he is towing a caravan, the 90 mins will do him good but he needs half a dozen games under his belt. Sinclair and Ntcham were too passive for me and Charly was just ok. Lustig seems to have adopted a more no nonsense approach, he cleared the ball out a few times. He had a few hairy moments but was generally ok.

    MotM – Kris Ajer

  14. SFTB . I heard a clip of the interview last night and the panel thought he didn’t try to hide his criticism of the SFA . Personally I thought he was doing the typical political speak without being damning . He certainly didn’t miss the SFA or Regan when he stated that the first he knew about the tour in June was from the papers . I thought he relayed an appeal that change was required. I would be interested in the thoughts of the 4 guys from here who took up the fight. Pleasantly surprised to see us adopt more variations in our play in the 2nd half . We even knocked it long a couple of times. We contributed to one Thistle goal and put the first for them on a plate . These errors change games . The referee was a tosser . Wee Jamesy was magic. Thursday night will be more of a challenge and I suspect we will rise to it . Aff oot to a good Tims 50th . Be nice HH

  15. It was cold today up in the Lisbon Lions upper tier, but not as cold as the reception Jozo would have had from Brendan at full time.

A stroll in the park turned into a nervy affair thanks to 3 moments of stupidity. I was a fan of Jozo however he now looks like a lost soul. A great shame.

    Well done Jamsie, stunning performance.

As for the Peter Lawwell interview, I thought he did okay, yes there was some deflection and deviation but by not naming the deadwood at the SFA he put them in the crosshairs.

Make no mistake, he is the kingmaker in whatever transpires over the next few months.

The MSM rush to get Walter, Eck and Leanne Dempster all in position has backfired on them. They have shot their bolts. Feck them all. HH

*just back in fae walking the dug on another snowy day, never ending this winter. Got tae thinking about Jozo while out there, he is an interesting character, a bit weird tae say the least.

I feel that he thinks he is too good for us, well at least the Scottish game, and isnae happy. Unfortunately, his move tae Torino didnae pan oot but at least he came back and performed quite well.

I also feel that if we had signed the Afrikaner he would have been off, similarly if Compper had not been injured in Dubai he would have been gone in January, no matter what he will be elsewhere come next August.

As I said a strange person who threw his toys out of the pram when his native Croatia widnae play him opting for his parental country Bosnia. The Balkans are fiercely patriotic and the fact he walked out on his land of birth is highly strange indeed. Ironically he has pulled a sickie when chosen for them, probably hoping the Croats will come back in for him,

  18. glendalystonsils on

At the moment we are like a Ferrari with a fuel blockage and brakes binding . It means the Ford focus and vauxhall corsa with the foot to the floor can run us close in a race.

Brendan’s not getting anything like the most out of his troops. I know we have played a lot of games but it seems to me to be a problem between the ears ,as much as tired legs.

On another note, the ref was culpable today, almost encouraging Thistle to injure our players. Shocking.

  19. SFTB,

I was very disappointed with the interview.

PL said very little and Tom English didn’t ask a single difficult question or ask for clarification or specific details.

Another in the long line of BBC Tom English puff pieces.

Also, did I hear PL describe the £30+M in the bank as a good base/foundation. Is this code for rainy day fund?

  20. It appears that tackles through the back are allowed

    well they are on us

    ref was a disgrace

  21. It’s not that long ago people were saying Jozo was our best defender???

He’s young for a centre half do a couple of mistakes make him a bad player??

I think personally our midfield hasn’t looked right or played as a unit for a while now, the blend our choices hasn’t really work, leaving Brown and Nitcham with all the work and then a huge gap to Sinclair, McG or Charly like today.

Moussa may well be “towing a milk truck” but a striker with out service is exactly that:((

Kouassi in beside Brown and Olivier one up the field could see us much more solid on Thursday.

With the defensive injuries the midfield has to be really solid and hardworking against Zenith as they will work us much harder than any Scottish team.

Some tough choices to be made for Thursday and I don’t envy BR one bit:))

  22. Tierney was tackled in the air after heading a ball clear guy then faked a head injury , this happened right in front of the standside linesperson who Dodds said had a good game, Maclean was allowing it all to go, incidentally this guy Maclean was voted the best in Scotland by the the Scottish Football Supporters Association

My kid sis had a wee dachshund, much loved he was. Spoiled wee bugger, you had to take him for a drag, cos he only went as far as the car!

You couldnae help but love him, though. Every time I walked through the door-and I only go home twice a year-tail wagging, wee legs battering,ah know that strange scent!

You could play with him all day. Except,October when I was home,no. You couldn’t.

He clearly wasn’t himself, far from it.
