How can Watt be on the bench? He is on loan to another club.
mncelt on
I believe Watt is still out on loan. He is back home for the Xmas break and training with the Bhoys, but he is not available for selection. By his own admission, he has been poor in Belgium for half the seaon. Hopefully he gets his head sorted out and comes back fighting for his place.

Ryecatcher…………….Thanks for the info. The last time I watched Southampton Victor was playing and I’m surprised to hear that it was all of nine games ago, jeez how time is flying.
Looks like Celts are on automatic pilot and just expecting to win every game with an economy of effort.

And I certainly don’t hate when Celtic win.
What logic did you use to come up with that?

I gave up my season ticket under WGS
I remember some questioning why I gave it up when we won the league
“Celtic played well today but were unlucky to hit the woodwork twice and have a goal disallowed after a tight offside decision, eventually losing 0-1 after having the bulk of the possession. This setback follows the 2-4 defeat at Inverness on Sunday, during which Celtic played some fine, expansive football in difficult conditions, their two classy strikes unfortunately being undermined by some schoolboy errors at the back. As a result Motherwell now lead the SPL by 5 points.”
It seems a lot on here would be far happier were that real!
Only while he was visiting Scotland for the festive season.

A win is always welcome, but there was little or no spark from the Celts today, against a lively Thistle team.
We made very few chances and the goal came from a long range shot from Joe.
A lot of the players look flat, and it’s maybe time for Neil to freshen up the team.
Ideally, we will bring in a much needed frontman during the window.
Big thanks to all the fans who turned up today: weather looked atrocious.

I don’t think I have ever seen a run of games where we have created so few chances.
How many of you ghuys go to work every day and put in way more effort than you actually need to? It is inevitable that some players will do just as much as is necessary to win the games, and as long as we keep scoring one more than the opposition we will end the season unbeaten in the league, and as winners of the double.
It might actually be a blessing to lose a game soon, then we can forget the safety-first, “must avoid defeat at all costs” attitude, and get back to annihilating teams 5-0 and 7-0… and even the occasional 5-2 or 6-3.
Cheers, I only read the headline. Shame as I think he is a great impact sub

Cardigan,
I think wee Gordon’s team were more entertaining and would wipe the floor with the current team.
I think any decent English Championship team from the top half would also wipe the floor with our current formation but maybe not team.
I think Lenny and his unbeaten ego are in the last chance saloon with the fans at least.

Another dreadful display of sideways, backward passing, overhit crosses and general lethargy from the players. One paced, no creativity and no strikers. Perhaps it is time for Neil to go. He obviously can’t motivate these players. The thunder has gone and may not come back. The attendance today may be the norm next season. Such a shame! Big YAWN.

You’re certainly not happy when we are winning. You suggested the manager should be replaced or at the very least you will not be unhappy to see him leave at the end of the season.
22 league games without defeat. Eight straight league wins. Seven successive clean sheets. Scored more goals than any other team in our league and lost fewer goals than any of them.
Celtic are going to lose at some point. If you can’t enjoy the run we are on and realise we are still winning when playing badly, then you will never be happy supporting Celtic.
