  1. NL could play 3 up front and still leave Balde on the bench, so what’s the problem -))))

  2. Notthebus

Win the league .Agreed but not difficult in a one horse race.

Do well in Europe.Do you not count this season?

Entertainment.Something that Neil’s team rarely provides and one of the contributing factors to declining attendances.

  3. I believe Watt is still out on loan. He is back home for the Xmas break and training with the Bhoys, but he is not available for selection. By his own admission, he has been poor in Belgium for half the seaon. Hopefully he gets his head sorted out and comes back fighting for his place.

  4. Bigshuggy ….

To be fair to Lenny, I think Oor Tony’s registration might still be in Belgium?

Would love to see that kid in the Hoops again.

  5. Thought the Jags stuck to their task and deserved a draw.

The way we are playing at the moment reminds me of wee Gordons team at the end of his term.

Congratulations to the players and management team and the support on another 3 points today. I never seen the game today so cannot comment.

If we keep winning when do we win the league ?

  7. Ryecatcher…………….Thanks for the info. The last time I watched Southampton Victor was playing and I’m surprised to hear that it was all of nine games ago, jeez how time is flying.

Looks like Celts are on automatic pilot and just expecting to win every game with an economy of effort.

I was the one who said I hoped Lenny would leave at seasons end.

And I certainly don’t hate when Celtic win.

What logic did you use to come up with that?

  9. I'm Neil Lennon (tamrabam) on

I gave up my season ticket under WGS

I remember some questioning why I gave it up when we won the league

    I hope recent matches explain

    Sometimes we need ambition

  10. And in an alternative reality…

“Celtic played well today but were unlucky to hit the woodwork twice and have a goal disallowed after a tight offside decision, eventually losing 0-1 after having the bulk of the possession. This setback follows the 2-4 defeat at Inverness on Sunday, during which Celtic played some fine, expansive football in difficult conditions, their two classy strikes unfortunately being undermined by some schoolboy errors at the back. As a result Motherwell now lead the SPL by 5 points.”

It seems a lot on here would be far happier were that real!

  11. sixtaeseven - Gardez la Foi, DAM 5 ! on

A win is always welcome, but there was little or no spark from the Celts today, against a lively Thistle team.

We made very few chances and the goal came from a long range shot from Joe.

A lot of the players look flat, and it’s maybe time for Neil to freshen up the team.

Ideally, we will bring in a much needed frontman during the window.

Big thanks to all the fans who turned up today: weather looked atrocious.

    Hail Hail

  12. glendalystonsils on

I take it our pitch was as bad as the one at Inverness last week when that was one of the reasons the happy clappers used to justify our poor performance?

  13. The Bhoy Saffron67 on

I don’t think I have ever seen a run of games where we have created so few chances.

  14. How many of you ghuys go to work every day and put in way more effort than you actually need to? It is inevitable that some players will do just as much as is necessary to win the games, and as long as we keep scoring one more than the opposition we will end the season unbeaten in the league, and as winners of the double.

It might actually be a blessing to lose a game soon, then we can forget the safety-first, “must avoid defeat at all costs” attitude, and get back to annihilating teams 5-0 and 7-0… and even the occasional 5-2 or 6-3.

  15. Cardigan,

I think wee Gordon’s team were more entertaining and would wipe the floor with the current team.

I think any decent English Championship team from the top half would also wipe the floor with our current formation but maybe not team.

I think Lenny and his unbeaten ego are in the last chance saloon with the fans at least.

  16. If Joe is for the off, I hope we’ve got someone lined up to replace him. He’s been one of our best players the last few seasons.

  17. Didn’t see or ‘hear’ the game today……….

    Positives……..another clean sheet…..well done,

and a wee team put up a great effort…..

Another dreadful display of sideways, backward passing, overhit crosses and general lethargy from the players. One paced, no creativity and no strikers. Perhaps it is time for Neil to go. He obviously can’t motivate these players. The thunder has gone and may not come back. The attendance today may be the norm next season. Such a shame! Big YAWN.

I do think you have a point there. This long run without losing and all the talk of going through the season unbeaten brings it’s own pressures which might be affecting performances.

  20. Not the bus…will rephrase

Lenny’s ego which needs an unbeaten season for first time in our history.

    There there…..fixed that for ya.

  21. ryecatcher

    Thats even worse.

Your criticising a manager of our club for striving for an unbeaten season

    Ridiculous statement .

  22. ryecatcher said:

That is an absolutely astonishing statement for a Celtic supporter to make.

It makes me sick to read the abuse Neil Lennon is now getting from his own support after what he has had to put up with in the past.

Unbelievable. I am off to bed after that one.

  23. The huns are out in force today on here. New blog names springing up by the minute. Stupid stupid hurting huns.

    GIRUY.

  24. Gongrtulations Partick Thistle.

Good, clear game happy to see.

To be honest i expected today to see a powerful Celtic.

    But…14 point ahead, unbeaten run.

Be pacient the better is coming.

  25. Hamiltontim is praying for Oscar on

Awful, the whole experience today was just dreadful.

Now before any dafties start jumping on my case I was there today and I’ll be in Paisley next Sunday so spare me your pish.

I sat today with like minded folk who go everywhere to watch Celtic. The consensus is the football is extremely poor and most of us are there out of a sense of duty.

One man up front against Thistle at Parkhead?!

    Get a grip Lennon!

The suits are tearing the heart and soul from our club.

Stupid I know, but I could cry at what’s happening to my club.

What logic did you use to come up with that?

    ——-

You’re certainly not happy when we are winning. You suggested the manager should be replaced or at the very least you will not be unhappy to see him leave at the end of the season.

22 league games without defeat. Eight straight league wins. Seven successive clean sheets. Scored more goals than any other team in our league and lost fewer goals than any of them.

Celtic are going to lose at some point. If you can’t enjoy the run we are on and realise we are still winning when playing badly, then you will never be happy supporting Celtic.

Did you suggest we get Brendan Rodgers?
