What we are watching is the result of years of mismanagement, we had the chance a few years back to kick on, invest in the team and go to the next level, we chose the OF instead, so we really shouldn’t have any complaints, instead of gloating and gorging on jelly and ice cream, we should have been demanding that we invest instead of the above, but it is what it is, we as a support will suffer while the suits rake it in, same as it ever was.
Ange will be watching the J League highlights with a sense of wistfulness.

SICK and TIRED of Celtic signing projects!!! we desperately need experienced professional football players!!

OE just lacks that edge to attack the ball

As an aside,
I was doon parklea this morning, watched games on 3 different pitches over a few hours.
I had no skin in any game, just observing.
A semi final was on, and first time i ever heard this, a coach telling his team, they needed to go down if touched in the box, cos they should have had a pen in the first half.
Back on the pitch one fella did, and the penalty followed. Scored, then another,
Then the play acting, time wasting, and general “game management / cheating continued.
A new one on me a guy shouted to the referee that the opponent had sworn.
The ref also made me feel it is evolving to be a non-contact sport, as fouls galore for the minor of things.
The goalkeeper, went down 3 times at corners or kicks, and one was with no one there, he rolled about for sometime, and coach came on.
I asked someone who the teams were, ……………… i wont say but ………
they were under 13s
then the play-acting and time wasting began, quite blatant,

Our chickens look likely to come home to roost on Tuesday.
My God – we are in a bad way – maybe, just maybe, we might have the semblance of a first-team by sometime in September….of course by then we maybe out of Europe and trailing in the league. If anyone can offer any alternative view, please pipe-up….but with solid reasoning, not, just mad love of Celtic and blind faith.
we are a long long way off it – the board needs to get some serious experienced players into this team. At the moment we will struggle to finish 4th – NOT KIDDING!!
Every great team ever has built from foundations – we have ZERO foundations. Don’t know who our keeper is , don’t have a dominant trio at the back – lack bite in midfield and don’t have a striker with presence.
Dom and Ange cant play subutteo with this team – we need experience!!@!@

i am going to complain to John Paul Taylor, I noticed on tv there someone was sitting in my seat.

from that, i think the team on Tues is:
barkas
ralston No Idea Welsh Taylor
Shaw mcGregor
Abada Turnbull Henderson
Edouard

Dont know whats worse, the team or Celtic TV.How is it,that no matter how big our CHs are,we can’t win a header.Countless chances they had from crosses. One shot on target second half.Preston looked a lot fitter.
Back 4? Taylor and Welsh to start. The other 2? Names from a hat but Urighide looked the most assured if Nir isn’t fit. Likely to be Ralston at RB – am I missing someone??? Please say I am!
Midfield – Cal Mac, Turnbull, Shaw
Wings – Ababa, Forrest if fit
Eddie

Just brutal. The purpose of the game is to put the ball in the rectangular pokey. Most of the team have no idea how to do that. When we get the opportunity, shots are either weak, straight at the keeper, inaccurate, or Christie like into orbit. We had umpteen opportunities to shoot from distance, which were almost all declined. We are still passing the ball backward far too often, which means transition from defence to attack is painfully slow.
On the plus side, the Israeli lad should play on Tuesday, Edouard must accompany Ajeti, and Rogic may have earned at least a half. Defence? Ye Gods! We have no attractive options. I don’t envy Ange taking his ‘best of the worst’ decisions on Tuesday.

SFTB .
The story of the coaches was good, did these guys get to pick the Preston away strip as well.
I really hate pre season games and know what their purpose is..but this is pretty pish tbh.
Abada and Rogic come close
Good save. Celtic best move so far. Then TR wide
Tam of old scored that in his sleep.
It’s a smashing colour of strip
Is Preston not a Tim town?

Breaks my heart..
But we look a shambles at the back..
Abada, Rogic and Edouard have brought a real energy and sharpness to the attack.
It’s a scary predicament to be in, but just on the 10 minutes I’ve seen I’d pick O’Connor over Ralston at right back every time.

Time to head home
Eddie slow to react there
Eddie has to get on the end of that cross.

Abada showing up well
Abada, is no At a bada
Abada looking sharp and direct
Great effort-Hendo- good save
abada has pace and good taker of the ball – rifled a great ball into the box but guess what ? we don’t have a #9
I wonder if Ajeti would have enjoyed those crosses in from Abada?
We look quite creative in the final third.
A settled defence before too long is an absolute must.
Ange will be learning about individuals. A few looking off the pace. Right back is a priority area for me.
Barkas > Bain
For the time being

“Love without madness is not love”
Finishes 1:0 to PNE
Dodgy pen but a deserved win
Negatives- we looked lightweight and naive often
Positive- Ange is playing Rope a Dope with the Midgie land spies
Oh well. Run out for all and all that.

I think there could be protests after the game on Tuesday. Our Board’s performance over the last 12 months has been nothing short of self destructive.
